The Hitching Post specializes in small, short, intimate, and private weddings for couples who desire a traditional Christian wedding ceremony. We believe that every wedding is special and realize how important this day is to those who walk through our doors. Is this the person you want to be married to for the rest of your life? We hope the answer is a resounding "Yes!", and we can be part of the beginning of your lifetime of happiness together. But, if you decide that you're not quite ready to wed, yet, we encourage you to take some extra time to think about it.

At one point in time a railway tunnel ran under where the Hitching Post now stands, which was built in 1955.

Our small and intimate indoor facility at the Hitching Post allows you to share your wedding day with those closest to you.

Location Weddings

With such beautiful outdoor scenery within a short distance from the Hitching Post, many of our couples have opted to have their wedding ceremonies at other locations such as Lake Coeur d'Alene or local parks including Farragut State Park. Weddings at some outdoor venues such as Riverstone Amphitheatre, Farragut St. Park, require reservations and a fee through the Coeur d'Alene Parks Dept, or State Park offices.
