Services
Rosemary Visaggio-Lumadue had only a few rules, begin with the highest quality food, prepare great tasting meals and serve it in an awesome atmosphere. Over the 36 years, Visaggio's has not changed which makes it the ideal location to enjoy both premier Italian and American cuisine. Coming from a large Italian family, Rosemary's life was centered on food and the family connection that comes from being at the table together. Her parents had a dream to begin a restaurant but couldn't bring it into reality.

Always great food. Love the atmosphere. We have known Rosemary and Bill for many years and are so happy their restaurant is close by so we can go for special occasions and to see them. Rosemary, you nailed it when you went into the restaurant business. Your restaurant is top-notched.

My husband & I live 45 minutes away but always go to Viaggio's when we want an amazing meal. Everything is delicious-- from the bread to soups, entrees & incredible desserts! The owners are delightful & caring along with the bartenders and wait staff. They make every visit a wonderful experience. I can't praise this place enough!

This place used to be decent, but now it's just trashy. All four of the people in my party fell ill after my last visit. The owner also seems unbalanced, especially considering the previous responses he's posted to other negative reviews.

I remember eating at visagios 25 years ago when attending the fall Carlisle show. The food and atmosphere was just as I remember. The staff was very friendly and attentive. Our waitress has worked at visagios for 35 years and probably waited on me then. I highly recommend this authentic Italian restaurant.

Food is very good. Suggest that anyone who goes there and orders any unpriced beverage ask the price first. Last evening one of our party was charged $15 for one shot of crown royal. Should not prevent you from eating the fine food there, just be forewarned about drink pricing.

I am never going back here. Food is so good but service is awful. My husband and I went for Valentine's Day and we had a gift certificate. We simply handed it along with a card to pay for our check. The waitress misread the certificate and took extra money off the total. We didnt realize and just paid our check AND TIPPED 40%. The restaurant then proceeded to call us after we left and asked us to pay more money over the phone!

The owner John harassed me on the phone for my credit card information. It was the waitresses mistake, it should be on her. I can't believe any restaurant would ever treat a customer like this. DO not give them your business. I never want anyone to feel how i felt again.

Vissagio's is ABSOLUTELY FABULOUS! It is our most favorite authentic Italian place to eat! We go there A LOT! If I could get my husband to take me there every weekend, I would. We like to sit in the casual dining area (usually at the bar), but also love to sit in the formal dining area on special occasions. We have NEVER received a bad meal, not once!

The staff is exceptional. They are very attentive, friendly and welcoming. The atmosphere in both the casual and formal dining areas is so warm and welcoming. This past September, I brought my (2nd mom) in for her 90th Birthday and we had a completely wonderful experience. My mom (2nd mom) was treated so kindly! The staff were busy, but they all took the time to come and sing Happy Birthday to her.

It truly is a night she will never forget, she talks about it all the time! I think we may have to do it again this year! I have to give HUGE kudos to the owners! There are not many restaurants around that you will find the owners walking around and asking you how your meals are. If they are not right, they will make it right. The head chef even comes out to check to see how your meals are as well.

You just don't see that much in the restaurant busines! It really made me feel good knowing they cared that much. This is a well run family owned business. I wish you many, many, many more successful years! One more thing.thank you for being there for us (for take out) during the early days of Covid. I was so happy to be able to get my yummy dinners and the pizza nights were fun and AWESOME. We need a pizza night! :) Thank you to Visaggio's for all that you do for your patrons! You're amazing! We will see you REAL SOON!

Will never eat at this establishment again. Went to dinner here for Valentine's Day with my wife. Sever brought us our bill which I gladly paid and left a 50 percent tip as the lady who waited on us was very nice and attentive. 30 min after leaving the owner proceeding to call us and bully my wife into tears because they rang up order wrong and charged us 30 dollars less. Threatened to call cops on us for stealing. My tip covered the amount the didn't charge plus a reasonable 20 percent. This owner is greedy and does not appreciate customers who treat his employees with respect.

The food was worth the price. Really nice waiter, nice dining environment, quiet place that is not crowded. Everyone at our table (9 people) agreed everything was 5 star rated.

My boyfriend and I made reservations here at 8 pm last night for Valentine's Day. We didn't realize they closed at 9 and felt so bad for making a reservation so late however they didn't make us feel rushed in the slightest. Our server was so attentive and so sweet. We ordered the gnocchi and formaggio for our appetizer, SO good. My boyfriend ordered the pasta sampler (excuse me, I don't remember what it was called) and I ordered the grilled salmon with asparagus and risotto.

Both so incredible dishes. For dessert, we ordered slices of both cakes they were offering. 1 being the traditional wedding cake- and OH. MY. GOD. The cake was seriously to die for. I wish I would have ordered an entire cake. Between the service, the meals, the ambiance, me and my boyfriend had a wonderful time and enjoyed our meal very much. Truly a wonderful experience.thank you guys!

I started out with oysters on the half shell. They had cb initials after the menu item. I'm assuming that meant Chesapeake Bay. They were sweet and a little briny which suited me wonderfully. The Veal Cardinale was done to my tastes. The crab imperial was with cream and sherry with a cream and sherry sauce. The gnocchi was cooked perfectly and the sauce was Old World Italian. The meal was one of the best I've had there. Their service provided by Shannon was impeccable.

My first time here and the food was on point! Having been a chef, I am really picky. The crab cakes were loaded with crab meat! Worth the drive for really good Italian food.

If you want to pay 100 million dollars for a sample of mediocre food this is your spot. If you have money to waste it's a lot of fun, it's very similiar to a game show. will we get the same amount of food we did last time or half as much this time around. Learn how to set a portion size and stick with it. Even a big mac from McDonalds has consistency.

Met friends at this nice restaurant. Was my first time there. Very nice warm welcoming atmosphere. We had reservations and were seated immediately. Our server was very attentive and personable. Our drink order came out promptly and our server coached us on appetizers. Entrees were D - Licious! Very tasty and portions were big enough to take a doggy bag home.

Went here for an anniversary dinner with my wife. Definitely underwhelmed by the experience. The atmosphere was stuffy and dull. The food was good, but nothing that stands out to me as being exceptional. It is definitely WAY overpriced for the reality of what you are getting. Overall, I was not impressed and probably will not be back. I can get just as nice of a dinner somewhere else for half the price.

The food, the service, the ambience, the experience. All the very best. Wonderful italian food freshly prepared and perfectly presented. You cannot go wrong for an enjoyable evening out or special occasion. Visaggio's aims to please and hits the bulls-eye!

Went for the company holiday party with low expectations but the service was great, food was amazing, and the portions were just the right side of big. Definitely give the chopped salad a try, it was the all around hit at our table. And give up on saving room for dessert, just get it to go.

RESERVATIONS REQUIRED! I had the nerve to bring my wife hear on our anniversary for a nice dinner, but due to her busy schedule we did not make reservations. Big mistake. It was a normal week night, The restaurant was not busy at all. It did not take long to seat us but then to our surprise the entire wait staff completely ignored us for a full 45 minutes.

I have never in my life walked out of a restaurant, but this night I did. Never to return. The food came highly recommended and their website did not mention that reservations were required. The very least they could have done was told us immediately that reservations were required instead of ignoring us completely.

Fantastic. No doubt we will return. The food was almost unbelievably good. I watched an 89 year old woman devour a plate of homemade ravioli. I've never seen her eat that much food all at once. I thoroughly enjoyed the "Elena Maria, " which was medallions of filet mignon with jumbo shrimp served on a bed linguini with garlic butter and ramono cheese sauce.

I planned to eat half and take half home for the next day's lunch. I did take half home, but I couldn't wait. I ate it as soon as I arrived home! I also had Italian wedding soup as an appetizer and cake for dessert - both delicious. Others at the table described similar happiness with their selections. Here are the negatives. It took a long time for my water glass to get filled.

We ate in the informal dining area which was loud, and we felt oddly decorated. The worst part of all - it's expensive. $30 for my entree, which didn't include salad. Was it worth it? Heck yeah. So, if you are angling for a place to go don't be afraid to splurge. You deserve it!

It's been years since I've been here, but if my memory serves me correctly, it looks almost the same as it did prior to the fire. Someone referred to it as a supper club and I would have to agree with that statement. Our group of 13 was seated in a private room since we were celebrating a birthday. The table was perfectly set with pristine white linens.

We had two servers to take care of our group and food orders were promptly taken. Unfortunately beverage service was not as prompt, and some of our group sat with an empty glass until one of our servers returned. Several in our group ordered an appetizer. Being a cheesaholic, I opted for the Formaggio in Carrozza. Those little pods of melted cheesey deliciousness with marinara on the side, took me to my happy place! Homemade bread was served with butter and also a hot pepper olive oil.

I selected Arturo as my Entree, although the seafood was fresh and prepared perfectly, I was disappointed when it was served over spaghetti and not linguine as described on the menu. It was good but not something I'd order again. As a finale to our meal, our servers brought in a tray of homemade desserts that looked divine. I was too full to order anything but did sneak a bite of the tiramisu my girlfriend got, and it melted in my mouth.

Typically their policy is one check for parties of 8 or more with a 20% gratuity added. Several of us asked if they could do separate checks with the 20% added to each. Initially they said that all they could do was divide our total bill up and run separate credit cards. Maybe it was because they weren't that busy, they finally agreed to give us separate checks. Kudos to our server team.

Supper club chique. This place has an informal as well as a formal dining room. My. Wife had the seafood ravioli and my friends and I had the fruti Del Mar or linguini with shrimp, scallops clams and mussels in a wine sauce. The shrimp were very over done and highly suspect the minced clams were canned. However the wait staff were excellent and the dishes were piping hot.

Our friends who live near by have been there several times with mention that each visit is a tad below the previous.and won't be back. In its hay day it probably was THE supper club to go to. But today the question is, "What's a supper club?"

Man. Wanted to love this place. Cool location and very little Italian restaurants in the area. The dining area just does not have any personality. Really bland, and has so much potential to warm this place up. The food was actually pretty good. Not the great stuff I can get on every block in South Philly but it was decent. Just no atmosphere at all.
