05/12/22: Snowtubing has closed for the season. Please note that snowtubing gift cards and certificates expired at closing. The face value of expired 2021 - 2022 certificates may be applied to two night minimum stays at the lodge through 9-01-22. Spokane. Trails at the lodge level are generally clear of snow, but still covered in shady spots at the altitude of the lower Kit Carson loop road.

Unusally cool weather has slowed snow melt this year. It's time to plan that summer getaway! Our main items are our popular BBQ sandwich, burgers, chicken strips, fish & chips, grilled ham & cheese, mozzarella sticks, and baskets of fries or onion rings.

Fabulous rustic lodge. Our host Laura was the best she even called to check on us while we were still on the road! The showers are nice and hot and very tall (rare in more modern hotels). Breakfast is right downstairs!

This place is fun. The service was fabulous. Not what I expected. It was better. The best part tho is I got to actually have fun myself. Honestly im a bit out of shape but they have a system that pulls you up the hill. We booked a group of 20+ and I genuinely enjoyed myself. The staff educated us on safety and helped us to have a great time. It's so much fun you all I can't say enough. Worth checking out.

DON'T WASTE YOUR TIME - NEVER GOING BACK It took 2 trips up to the site for a little sledding. Last weekend, no room so book ahead with a credit card. No changes allowed at all. This reservation was difficult to do because the guy wasn't interested in helping us. He passed it off to a woman who was more interested in her friend than her job. We should have went with our gut and not booked at all!

Next weekend the owner was VERY rude when we said that 2 of our party was out SICK. No concern at all. He just wanted the money. Sledding hill was overpriced ($20 each for 1.5 hours) for the number "allowed" on at a time. No reason for him to charge us for the "missing" two! The guys on the sled hill were the only nice and helpful people.

Solely a review of the tubing hill. I paid over $22 for an unsafe, single tubing run. In my hometown you can pay $5 for a 4 run tubing hill. We were told ahead of time that it was slick today, ok great, we grabbed tubes without the hard shell on the bottom to go a little slower. The one run was still an ice rink and there was the bare minimum of straw at the bottom, everyone either missed the straw completely because it wasn't spread across the entire run or they just ran right over it without slowing because it was frozen.

There were also plenty of unused hay bales ready for spreading, it should definitely have been used on a day where they were warning people of how slick it was. People were losing hats, sunglasses, gloves, and more because it was just too fast and bumpy at the bottom. Most adults shot past the straw and ran up into the trees! The most fun part of the whole experience was the rope tow that took you and your tube to the top. I definitely wasn't the only one who was unhappy with the lack of a safe landing area. I doubt we will be back.

Kids had a blast tubing! There was a tubing accident (unpreventable, everyone ok) staffing and safety is a concern at tubing hill. It was our first time snow tubing we couldn't hear the safety speech and was confused on what to do. Couldn't find anyone to help answer questions luckily there was other tubers that were happy to help. Couldnt hardly make it to lift kids (and adults) were tripping and slipping trying to get to lift.

Now with that part out of the way. Heading back into the Lodge to warm up and order food another problem arises. Went to order the food and there was an issue with an order ahead of us ware they handed out wrong item out. Which severely confused the server(which later was told he was owner) with a simple tab of fries and hot chocolates. I tried to help him to understand to the best of my ability over and over again.

So i just asked to order for myself since this wasnt even our order kept it simple with 2 chicken strip baskets and this man told me that the chicken strip basket he gave out to someone else that were getting eaten by another group of people was now mine and try charging me for it! Luckly this poor young woman came out to help was willing to listen to get everything sorted out correctly.

This man was extremely rude to My daughter and I, Won't get into details but very unprofessional and disrespectful words were said to us and multiple other customers. Everyone was very patient with this man. We all just kind of looked at each other like wow! Took 30 min just to order. A lot of frustration over chicken strips for the family we ate them without any drinks or sauces in fear it would confuse him.

Or get lashed out on. BUT surprising the food was fast, hot, and tasted great! Customer service is not ok here! If this was the owner of this place! Disappointed! This place is beautiful and has great potential. But as of now with safety of tubing and customer service this being a business have no right to be open! Pricing is not ok when you pay same price for a 3yr old that has to ride with an adult the same price as one!

My mind is blown how anyone can run such a beautiful place and be so disrespectful to there customers. Quit scaring them away and maybe you dont have to be so greedy with pricing and all rules put in ace! I suggest reading website. Not hard to see red flags right there! Best of luck to ya but Time to change ownership or close the doors until at least safety issues are sorted out!

I called to make tubing reservations and In the process was asking for more details as the website didn't answer all my questions. The whole time the female on the phone was snarky and rude. After giving my details she asks finally for my credit card CCV. I said nicely, "oh that's, weird, is that really needed to hold a reservation?". Her reply was, "fine, I'll cancel the reservation" and then she hung up on me. I try to call back multiple times to which maybe my phone call is ignored as it kept ringing?

I talked to Sam multiple times leading up to our stay. He was incredibly rude and has TERRIBLE customer service skills. He continued to cut me off during our conversation and talked over me, when trying to figure out our stay. We had to move weekends and he must've *forgot* to tell me that would include a $50 rate increase. The walls are paper THIN!

I could hear our neighbors crystal clear. They kept us up until 3am. There is no cell service on the mountain, no "front desk", no phones in the room.no way to contact anyone. It's basically a free-for-all at night. The rooms are very dated, the shower had mold, the beds/pillows were uncomfortable, there's no way to control the temperature in your room, there's no tv, there's NOTHING in the room besides the bed(s).

We were supposed to stay two nights and actually just decided to go home after one. The owner will continuously tell you he owns the place outright and brag about how much he charges - "all profit"! He should honestly consider putting some of that money back into this establishment, because it could be really great. I will say, the rest of the staff were so kind and welcoming.

The guys running the tubing hill were hilarious and fun. I would go back for a session of tubing (even though that is overpriced in my opinion). Overall, my kids had a blast, but if you're considering staying at the lodge, don't waste your money!

My family and I came to Bear Creek Lodge for some snow tubing this morning and it was SUCH a great experience. The staff out on the tube run were all fantastic. They went above and beyond to make sure everyone was having a good time while also keeping us and our kids in check with safety/rules. They seemed to be genuinely having fun while working and they made the day more fun for us. We loved having some music playing at the top of the hill too! We're planning on coming back next week with more family because it was so fun. Thanks guys!

I just called to reserve a room eight months in advance for my wedding night. And was told that since he books weddings there if he has the opportunity to book a wedding that same night he would supersede my reservation and cancel it on me. I understand a large room on the top floor is part of a wedding package. But instead of saying I'm just going to cancel your reservation there could've at least been some kind of alternative option.

He could've said "if by chance the room gets rented would you be OK with potentially being put into a different room another room that includes a Jacuzzi". Giving me some kind of other alternative route versus I'm just going to cancel your reservation and you'll be screwed pretty much. I would not recommend this place. Anyone that tells you that they're willing to just cancel your reservation on your wedding night isn't worth giving money to.

I was really looking forward to renting a room close to my wedding venue and having a great night after my wedding. Pretty bummed out with how that phone call went. It could've been handled much better. He obviously doesn't care about making money or renting out his rooms.
