Best wedding ever. We were married recently at the abita quail farm and can't say enough about the wonderful experience. I have had many luncheons there for several different organizations, and everyone raves about the beautiful surroundings, delicious food and wonderful staff.

I attended a lovely wedding at the Abita Quail Farm. It was a beautiful country wedding, the ceremony over looked a pond that was just picturesque! The room was elegant and beautifully decorated and the food and drink were superb. We ate, drank, and danced the night away. This is a lovely place for a wedding!

Always a delight to visit this peaceful and quiet place. The owners are very accomodating and the food is excellent! Will definitely plan to see them again.

Do not rent this place for any event. The bathrooms were filthy and missing doors to the stalls. The building was run down and depressing. The staff were rude and the parking was in dirt in unlit fields

I Just have to say that after having my daughters wedding here it breaks my heart that I choose this venue. Let me go ahead by saying that most of the staff was great and professional. So now here's the downfall of booking this venue, John the owner, a total ass to deal with once the final payment was made. nothing goes, everything was a hazard, John was caught taking personal things out of the grooms room, where he was also caught going through the best mans jeans, what a invasion of privacy, not to mention what he got away with.

He rushed us the night before the wedding when we were trying to decorate the place. The DJ was asking about the wifi to down load some music, that was a big mistake, he was so rude to the DJ. No lights in the parking lot made it unsafe for the guest. I could go on and on but the fact is this place could be a great place but the owner is way out of his league. I will never recommend this place for anything.

I don't even know where to begin. The owner/ manager John is by far the worst! His customer service skills are horrible! He is very dictating and ugly. He yelled at many of the guest including the groom to be. He is very unprofessional! This place itself has potential but it smells moldy and the buildings could use a good pressure washing. There is no lighting in the parking lot for the guest at night. There are lights but do not work. The dimmer switch for the lights was broken. My biggest complaint is John the owner. Just a very unfriendly man!

The vocal performances of the members of the Northlake Performing Arts Society were excellent and enjoyed by the audience. The food, its presentation, and service did not match the quality of the musical entertainment. Anita Quail Farm needs to significantly improve the quality of experience in dining there.

This facility should be banned from having any functions in the evening time due to zero lighting in the parking area. There were two guys with In adequate flashlights guiding guests to the parking spaces. The parking area was pitch black. Definitely a hazard for both walking and driving.

Ill just leave it at the fact that plastic white lawn chairs were used as seating for the ceremony.

WARNING. I've not been married here myself, but I know several close friends that have had their ceremonies here and I've seen everything firsthand. The owner/manager of this place is incredibly stingy and hard to work with. For Saturday weddings, NO ONE and I mean no one, including the florist, chair delivery, even the wedding party, cannot come onto the premises until 4:00 pm.

My friend couldn't even rent chairs because the chairs had a delivery of 12-4 pm, but because no one can come before then, they had to stick with the plastic patio furniture for the ceremony. And God forbid there is a plant in the reception hall, apparently a leaf could fall into the food and poison all the guests. It's a shame because this is really a beautiful place, such a gorgeous property, but the owner makes this process so much more stressful for every bride that comes here. After seeing what my friends went through, no way would I have my wedding here.

My husband and I got married here just a couple days ago. We had the best time and everything was PERFECT. I got compliments all night from the elegant venue to the amazing food (you have to try the cochon de lait!) to the excellent staff. The venue owner, John, was amazing and easy to work with from the very beginning and gave us excellent recommendations for everything.

Being that I've never planned a wedding before, I had a very abstract idea of how everything should go. Thankfully, John was there to help me with the details every step of the way to get the timing and coordination just right. It would not have been possible without him. My advice to you if you're planning a wedding here, trust John, he is a consummate professional and also ask for chef's choice for the food. Trust me, they know what they're doing!

I would like to preface this post by saying that I have never written an online review, but I felt obligated to share my wonderful experience with the Abita Quail Farm. My wife and I visited many different reception halls in the Covington area, and were unimpressed as a whole until we visited the Abita Quail Farm. We met with the owner, Mr. John d'Hemecourt, and toured his beautiful establishment.

We knew instantly that this was the place for us. The Quail Farm offers such a wide variety of scenery, there is something for everyone to love. There were roughly 200 guests at our reception, and the main hall easily accommodated all of our guests, a large dance floor, a buffet area, two bars and an area for a band/DJ. However, for those guests who prefer to get away from the hustle and bustle can relax on the patio, or take a romantic walk around the lake and enjoy the natural beauty of the Quail Farm.

With all of that being said, the real magic of the Quail Farm is Mr. John d'Hemecourt. He went above and beyond in all possible aspects. We met with Mr. d'Hemecourt several times before the reception, and each time he managed to amaze me. His only concern throughout the entire process was to make our wedding reception the night of our dreams. For every idea or request we presented, he either had a solution, or would work with us to find a solution. Mr. d'Hemecourt also attended to the entire reception to ensure all of our dreams came true. The Abita Quail Farm and Mr. d'Hemecourt took much of the stress of wedding planing, and replaced it with the most wonderful night I could imagine. Justin & Courtney Ajubita

My son had his wedding reception back in October and I would be terribly remiss not to take a moment to express how pleased we were with the entire evening. This was quite a large group, yet The Quail Farm provided ample room for all. Upon arrival the bridal party took special pictures in the picturesque Music Room. Champagne was offered and toasts were made!

The bride and groom made a grand entrance into the main room down the lovely staircase. The food was excellent and plentiful. Guests choose to sit upstairs, downstairs and even outside where it was beautifully decorated. Mr. d'Hemecourt called the day before the wedding to double check that all "special wish lists" were being addressed. This was a special evening for a special couple and we will treasure the memories ever.

My sisters wedding reception was held at the Abita Quail Farm in January. The whole experience was one we will cherish. Family and friends are still talking about how beautiful everything was. We decorated the day before and were able to go back the day of the wedding for a last minute check. The food was exceptional and the serving tables stayed full.

The staff was professional and helpful with anything we needed. The grounds were manicured and renovations on the property were completed just before my daughters wedding. We were very pleased with everything and could not have asked for a more beautiful setting. Many thanks and compliments to the D'Hemecourts

My daughter was married in June2012. The place was lovely and spacious. The wait staff was accommodating but John the owner was difficult to deal with on the day of the wedding. He was not very accommodating with helping my DJ set up and showing her where to put her equiptment. And not letting her know that the ceremony and the reception were in 2 different areas of the building and therefore she was ill prepared for the day.

Through the quick thinking of my daughter's stepmom and the DJ. We were able to fix the problem. Through no help of the owner. All he did was gripe and complain that the DJ was impossible to work with ( which she was only ill prepared because John the owner failed to mention all of the setting up details) iIf it was not for John 's very sweet wife( and unfortunately her name escapes me) to be there to smooth over the potentially disastrous situation between John and the bridal party.

The day would have been ruined. John and his nervy ways should stay behind the scenes and let his gentle natured wife deal with the public. The food was decent and in the end my daughter and her husband had a lovely time. We were able to diffuse the situation without them or any of the guests knowing that there was a problem. No thanks to John
