Sharon Vanorny grew up in tiny midwestern town with her family, a wealth of kittens, and a peacock. Her 1st photographs were mostly of these 3 things. She started her education at the Minneapolis College of Art and Design in 1998. She then moved to Madison in 2001 and finished her photo degree at Madison Area Technical College, where she feels she scored some nice technical skills.
