STAY AWAY FROM THIS PLACE I wouldn't recommend this place at all to anyone that is getting married. The owner claim to order bridesmaids dresses a month before the wedding but she place the order 1 week before the wedding so we had to hope and pray that the dresses arrived in time and then when the dress came in she did alterations and quote people 50 dollars for alterations then charge them 70 dollars then when she did the alterations she made the dresses very short where you could see the girls shoes when the lady said they wanted them hidden.
The tux's were order too small and then the guys try them on and they said they would fix it and order the right size but the next day they were two small again then order it for the day of the wedding and few of the tux's didn't fit. For people that are the brides make sure they don't put your dress on the rack for people to try on and then they ask you set appointments that work for you especially on your days off then they don't even have the dress done then was giving us the ring around. I wouldn't recommend this place ever to anyone that ask me

Janet saved the day for the alterations she did for my daughter. Can't thank her enough. Highly recommend stopping at her shop to have ANY tailoring work done.

Awful experience! Horrible alterations! Lady does NOT know what she's doing! Prom dress was floor model and was full price. Alterations were horrible and completely unprofessional! Got it home and it wreaked of fried fish! Will NEVER GO BACK and I would suggest you don't go there either!

Took my little sister here to find a prom dress and loved it. We had some issues with the dress she originally chose not being available, but they were prompt in letting us know and helping her order a different one. The prices were great, and there was no fee for them to alter the straps on her dress which were way too long! I heard about this place through other people and I'm so glad I didn't waste my time taking her to Madison like I was going to! Might I mention, this was less than a week before prom that we came in! Will definitely be back in a few years for my other little sister's prom!

I purchased a wedding gown from Designs For You because I won a gift certificate at a bridal fair. When I made an appointment to try on dresses, Janet nor her employee helped me much. Either way, I found a dress and my mother paid the required deposit to order the dress. I was told the dress would take up to six months, understandable. After six months without hearing about my dress, I called the store to make sure everything was going okay.
I was told they could not order my dress for another six months because she didn't have enough money, even though we paid exactly what was required of us. Janet was rude to me but said she would get the dress in so I was willing to give her the benefit of the doubt. A month passes by with still no contact so I contacted the dress company. Finally, they put my order through and my dress came in. I thought that was the end of the nightmare but no!
My dress is so big it falls right off me, no idea why because Janet took my measurements and I had gained weight in the 7 months. The money I saved will probably go into alterations now. I don't recommend this shop to anyone. Find another local, reasonable dress shop.

Ordered my daughter's prom dress and Janet did alterations on the dress and put a corset back on the dress. It took over a month for alterations but finally the dress was done so my daughter tried the dress on and the front was cut too short on bottom and the white tooling was showing, and the back was to long on bottom. Janet reordered the dress and it came in but it was a size 18! My daughter is a size 13. Needless to say I got a refund for the prom dress
