We provide comprehensive event planning services for weddings and special events. Our team manages timelines, vendor coordination, and day-of logistics across our 300-acre property. Clients receive personalized guidance through our three distinct wedding packages with customizable options.
Accommodations
The Manor House sleeps up to 22 guests across 6,000 square feet of restored historic space. Additional options include the Honeymoon Cottage with spa features and separate groomsmen quarters. All accommodations feature period-appropriate decor with modern comforts for wedding parties and visitors.
Catering Services
While clients may select their own caterers, we maintain a preferred list of qualified vendors. Our recommended caterer, John Ellington of Fuqua Academy, specializes in formal event dining. All food service providers must meet our standards for quality and service excellence.
Art Gallery Tours
The manor houses Hadfield Fine Arts Gallery featuring international artworks from various periods. Guests can explore rotating exhibits during events, with purchase options available. This unique feature enhances the cultural atmosphere of weddings and special events at Winterham.

Questions
What wedding packages do you offer?
We offer three packages: Single Day ($5,995), Single Day with Friday Add-On ($6,995 total), and Two Night ($9,495). Each includes venue access, accommodations, and event infrastructure.
How many guests can you accommodate?
Our largest package sleeps 22 guests in the Manor House and Cottage. The event tent accommodates up to 150 guests for ceremonies and receptions.
What ceremony sites are available?
Choose from four locations: Versailles Pavilion, Manor House Front Porch, Lovers' Tree, Event Tent, or indoor Manor House options for smaller weddings.
Can we use our preferred vendors?
Clients may select their own caterers, but all vendors must meet our quality standards. We provide a list of recommended professionals experienced with our venue.
What payment terms do you require?
We require a 50% deposit upon contract signing with the balance due upon arrival. A $500 discount applies for self-managed cleanup and chair transfer.

Absolutely wonderful wedding venue with spectacular views. Would highly recommend. Only 40 minutes outside of Richmond.

My brother got married here last weekend; The wedding was beautiful but the caretaker (proper term?) of the plantation house tarnished the experience. She was rude and sarcastic to everyone in the wedding party throughout the entire weekend. The plantation is split leveled and the groomsmen stay in the basement area while the bridesmaids and bride stay in the upper level. We didn't know until we arrived that the caretaker also lives in the basement in a separate room, which was a little weird.
She constantly nagged all of the groomsmen and other family members to do chores that should have been delegated to the staff. The morning after the wedding she confronted the bride and groom and told them they needed to "pick up every single rose petal" in the bridal suite. It is a beautiful venue but this lady was a stain on what should've been a very happy occasion.
