When I was a kid, I always had the radio on. I'd buy a vinyl copy of almost every song I heard and quickly built up a pretty decent record collection. My first official DJ "gig" happened in eighth grade - my own school dances. Soon enough, I was being asked to entertain at private parties and other local events.
