The White Dress by the shore was founded in 2004 by Beth Chapman. After a career in fashion retail in New York, Beth decided to take her love of bridal and create the ultimate wedding shopping experience for brides. It is her belief that shopping for your wedding gown should be an intimate and memorable experience - one that is everything you've dreamed of, but nothing you would expect.
We have an incredible, dedicated staff at The White Dress by the shore. Each of our team members loves all things bridal and is passionate about creating an exceptional shopping experience for our bride. We are excited for you to Meet the TWD lovelies and get to know them a little better. Each of our stylists here at The White Dress has been trained as a bridal specialist and are here to guide you in finding the perfect dress! Fun fact about me: I was born in Laguna Beach, California (I am convinced that is why I love the beach!)
Appointments submitted here are a request, and we will contact you to confirm your appointment's day and time after reviewing our schedule. Our appointments are 90 minutes in length, starting from the time we open until 90 minutes prior to when we closed. See below for store hours. When you submit an appointment request for a bridal or sample closet appointment, you will be charged a $25 reservation fee. This fee only applies to first time bridal shopping appointments. This fee is credited back if you purchase a gown from us.

Needed to share an exceptional story from this boutique! I had tried on some dresses where I live (in NYC), and found one I absolutely loved but wouldn't be ready in time for my wedding. I googled the dress in case I could find it anywhere else, and this store came up in my search results. I called them, and they explained that unfortunately they only had samples to try on, but would place an order through the same designer that wouldn't be ready in time.
But just before hanging up, the wonderful store associate/manager said she had an idea - then she went to go check, and found they had an unopened sample and would sell it to me (it just so happened to be right around my size)! She & the team proceeded to provide the most incredibly helpful customer service, going totally above & beyond to make sure they could ship it to me in NYC.
I was stunned! For what can be an incredibly stressful decision, I can't imagine you could be in better care than this team. 10 out of 5 stars for helping me find my perfect dress when I thought hope was lost!

Had such a wonderful and special experience finding my dress here. Olivia made not only me feel special but made the experience unforgettable for the friends/family that I brought with me. I was nervous about saying yes to the dress since it was the exact opposite of what I thought I wanted; but, Olivia was extremely kind, helpful and understanding.
She is amazing at what she does! The other staff members around were also very kind and smiled/acknowledged us which didn't happen at the first dress shop I went to. I feel very lucky to have found my dress here. Highly recommend!

RUN, don't walk, to The White Dress. I couldn't have dreamed of a better shopping experience. From the moment I walked in, Erin and the staff were welcoming and made myself and my family feel comfortable. Erin was incredibly knowledgeable, thoughtful, and fun. She listened to me intently and chose dresses for me as if she was reading my mind. I felt like she was my fairy god mother guiding me on the dress shopping journey The collection of dresses they have is incredible- every dress I tried on was stunning. This was hands down the best dress shopping experience I had and I can't wait to wear what we picked! I truly cannot recommend The White Dress more.

Michelle and everyone at White Dress by the Shore were amazing. I had no idea about what I was walking into as it was my very first dress appointment but Michelle made me feel so comfortable and relaxed. I was really vague about what I was looking for but she took the small information I offered and pulled dresses that captured my vision better than I ever could have described myself.
She was also so mindful of budget and was not pushy at all. I ended up finding my absolute dream dress (plus veil and gorgeous jewelry) and could not be more excited or more pleased with my experience. I was actually sad that it was over because it was such a special time. You need to go to this here for your dress, you won't regret it!

The White Dress by the Shore came highly recommended by a friend and it is so obvious why. The staff is just wonderful. The store is so adorable and intimate. The selection is to die for. And we found my dream dress without going over budget. They have incredibly high standards when it comes to alterations and you leave with your dress in hand feeling like it was made for you. 10/10 would recommend! We spent a beautiful morning at our special VIP appointment at The White Dress by the Shore. Needless to say, the experience far surpassed our expectations! The enthusiastic staff and photographer met us with enthusiasm and warmth. My daughter was able to browse through all the wedding dresses at her leisure and ultimately choose the ones she wanted to try on.
She was also sent a Look Book in advance of her appointment which was so very helpful as she could see what the boutique had in their stock. We were whisked upstairs to a very large and bright room with plenty of seating. There was champagne and charcuterie for us to enjoy. During the 3-hour appointment, the bride-to-be was treated like a princess! Shana was so lovely and was there for my daughter's every desire.
I can't say enough about her! The photographer was also so wonderful - we never wanted to leave.but ultimately, the big moment came and she chose a dress! There were tears and laughter and hugs! From start to finish, The White Dress by the Shore did an exceptional job! We want a do over!

The White Dress by the Shore was absolutely the best bridal experience I could imagine. From the dresses to the staff they beyond met my expectations. My stylist Grace, was so helpful and I couldn't have asked for someone better. She was able to gage what I wanted based on specific styles I liked and did not like. Along with adding on accessories that made certain dresses look like I would on my big day.
Every employee there was so helpful and genuine. They even had a seamstress come and look at my dress to help determine my correct size once I found "the one". Everyone made me feel so special and that they were generally interested in my planning and what I was doing for my wedding. I would highly recommend this bridal shop to anyone considering buying a wedding dress in the New England area.

I cannot say enough amazing things about White Dress by the Shore - they helped me every step of the way -- from finding my dream gown to alterations and preservation, . Throughout all of the hecticness of covid, they were gracious with rescheduling fittings and preserved the dress for our delayed wedding date a year later at no cost. I have recommended them to everyone I know because every bride deserves to feel as good as their team made me feel through the whole process. In addition to having an amazing staff of women, the shop itself is elegant and beautiful and a perfect backdrop for finding THE dress.

From start to finish Beth and her team made my experience truly special. I felt completely at ease and trusted their expertise from the start. They didn't just sell me a dress they provided me with a lifetime of memories within this sweet little shop. They were able to make my dreams come true and I am forever grateful.
