This venue is in a terrible part of town. The 6 foot fence is the only thing that makes this place private. The traffic noises can be heard above all. The parking is in back in an uneven dirt lot with broken glass everywhere. The Staff was friendly, but their "break" area was in full view of the guests from the bar, as well as from the glass door by the bathrooms. The restrooms seemed somewhat in disrepair, outdated. Mature trees were in the backyard, that was a plus. Had to walk through the dance floor to exit the premises.

I was a guest at an event here. The venue is very nice, but the event planner seemed to lose her mind during the event. To be clear I was ONLY a guest with no involvement in planning or hosting and I have no children. Thus it was shocking to me that while I was grabbing a drink the woman came raving towards me to yell at me, YELL, about some toddlers messing with her plants.

That has nothing to do with me! No introduction on who she was or anything just rage. So inappropriate. She then proceeded to physically grab another guest and yell at her to watch her children. I understand that it might be frustrating for her, but 1. Keep your composure. Don't turn into a lunatic. 2. Say who you are before yelling at random guests (or better yet, don't yell at the guests). 3.

I assume you have an event contact? Maybe talk to the person in charge of the event coordination before you start assaulting people. 4. If children are not welcome, be explicit about that and maybe people won't bring their toddlers. A nice event was ruined because this lady doesn't know how to communicate properly. Edited to add the following: I'd like to clarify that my reference to her inappropriate behavior was not about a speech impediment; of which I was unaware and didn't actually notice because she never took time to have an actual conversation with me.

My complaint was specific to the literal YELLING at me while dragging a child across the venue when I was simply getting some water. I appreciate the thorough response and agree that you would be well within your rights to charge the event holder for anything breaching the contract. I maintain that it was unprofessional and inappropriate to take up your complaints with a random guest and that grabbing someone you don't know is never the way to respond.

Natalie was awesome through out whole process. Answered every question or concern promptly. Day of event was perfect, Natalie and her team took care of everything from start to finish. We were pretty much stress free and we're able to enjoy our night to the fullest!

I recently got married at Virginia's House. If I could give more then 5 stars I would! Natalie, the owner and wedding coordinating, is beyond amazing. She will take care of everything you can possibly think of in order to make you day prefect and easy. The vendors she uses are also top notch. And her pricing is about 30% of what you'd pay elsewhere for everything she includes, without skimping on anything. You can't go wrong for having any type of event here. Perfection!

The answer to your prayers and dreams! I recently had my bridal shower at Virginias House, but I will admit I am not "new". I have been to, and hosted several events with them. From friends baby and bridal showers, to my own. I HIGHLY recommend. Natalie is a dream come true and works hard to help your vision become a reality. She takes the time to get to know YOU, so your event is truly unique.

Not to mention set up/clean up, and a majority of your decor is taken care of is a literal dream. The space is also a gem. From inside and outside options, it's a quiet little piece of Heaven. I love this place, tell everyone about it, and plan to book over and over as many times as I can!

I have been one of Natalie Stahl's preferred vendors for about 20 years. I am a minister/officiant, and as such, am often treated as a "necessary evil" by other owners/managers of other venues. Never has that been even remotely the case with Natalie. She is by far the most conscientious, professional, and flexible small business owner I have ever engaged with.

Her number one priority -- as is mine -- is making the occasion being observed (wedding, vow renewal, memorial service, funeral) as meaningful as possible for the people involved. In the two decades I have worked closely with Natalie, I have seen her handle even the most cringe-worthy situation with skill and grace. I cannot recommend Virginia's House highly enough.

We were married here in November of 2016. Natalie is a credit to her craft. Our afternoon/evening went off without one hitch. Our ceremony to reception was all we could ask for and more. As a second time bride, my nerves were shot about planning a wedding. Natalie took all that off my plate. Everything was perfect; all I had to do was show up and get married.

This is the best place to be married, should you have a smaller wedding. Her officiant was so wonderful that I had her perform my father's funeral service years later. That is the quality of the vendors she works with to make your day even more special. I cannot say enough nice things about our experience and Natalie herself. If you are on the fence about choosing Virginia's House, do not be, you will be so glad you did!

Such a beautiful venue for all sorts of events. I had my bridal shower inside and hosted a friends in the outside area and both were absolutely gorgeous! Any and all staff interactions were so amazing and incredibly helpful, going out of their way to ensure any needs were met without us even asking with both events!

Cozy, intimate, beautiful. magical! Our daughter wanted an outdoor wedding in Dec, with twinkle lights in a beautiful setting and Virginia's House did not disappoint! Every nook and cranny inside and out, is filled with antiques and because it's December, Christmas trees and holiday decor everywhere! Natalie is super knowledgeable and handles everything the day of- we couldn't ask for a better venue or wedding day coordinator.

No detail was left out- and we were able to sit back and enjoy the beautiful day. If you are looking for a venue that holds 125 people or less in or near Glendale AZ, look no further than Virginia's House. :

Natalie and her crew are hands down the best. I just had my baby shower at the venue and everything was beyond perfect. It's clear that Natalie has not only a gift of talent when it comes to hosting parties, but the perfect personality for the business as well. She was prompt with replies, flexible with changes, and made sure to be just as excited as my family and I were about our celebration. I highly recommend having your event at Virginia's House and entrusting your special moments to Natalie and her crew of talent.

We just had our daughter's Bridal Shower at Virginia's House and it was amazing! Everyone who attended was so impressed and over-the-top on how beautiful and unique the venue was. This was a surprise for our daughter, and all she could say is "this is the most magical and stunning place I could ever imagine"! The owner is amazing, extremely helpful and just so awesome. I can't thank her enough for all of her hard work, and having such a beautiful, unique venue for our daughter's once in a lifetime Bridal Shower! Thank you!

My husband and I got married here and it was WONDERFUL! The decorations were great, the catering was delicious, and of course, Natalie was FANTASTIC! She made us feel so special and even assured me a not-so-nice (aka horrible) person who was NOT invited to the wedding would not be there under her watch. She said "No one makes my breeds cry!". She took all the stress out of our special day and it was beautiful.

The officiant was wonderful too and let us petsonalize our vows just how we wanted with all the hell we could ask for but all the freedom too. The only problems I had were with the cake vendor, Truffle Trolley (reviewed separately) and it was a little bit loud bc of being close to the street. Wedding video is a little hard to hear. Overall would highly recommend though. Prices were so great too and the photographer did a splendid job.

Went to a wedding at this hidden gem yesterday! In old town Glendale in a obscure residential neighborhood. Once inside the white gates you find a perfect garden setting. Several patios surround the garden. It has a vintage vibe which goes with this historic house. Details are great and lighting after dark is perfect. We loved all of the small old chandeliers and couches.

I am not sure if the venue provided the vendors but the food was fantastic. A taco bar with street taco size tortillas made fresh to order, a donut station, which was cool you could watch your donut being fried and custom made with glazes and toppings. If you need a smaller venue for an event this is the place. It was easy to find, parking plentiful and what I understand vey affordable.

We recently had a garden wedding at this venue and it was everything we could have imagined. The owner Natalie is wonderful. She listened to us about what we wanted and she didn't miss a thing. What I really liked is that you can have a beautiful wedding at a beautiful venue without going broke, which is unheard of in the wedding industry. She is very kind, caring and efficient. She made our wedding beautiful and flawless. I would recommend her and the venue to everyone. Once you meet Natalie you won't want to go anywhere else.

I recently threw a baby shower for a friend and was thrilled with the service we received at Virginia's House. It's a wonderful location for an indoor gathering of about 30 people, and owner Natalie was incredibly helpful in helping me plan everything from centerpieces to food. The venue is set in the historic Tinker house, which gives it a charming, feminine vibe with antique touches.

There was plenty of room for guests to spread out and mingle, and there was a separate area for people to grab food and for gifts. Natalie graciously started cleaning up food to take to go while we were opening gifts, and she was incredibly accommodating, as the shower ran an hour over, and we weren't kicked out. I'd highly recommend this venue for any event. The setting is beautiful, and the service makes it forever memorable.

As a longtime minister and officiant of many years standing, I have "worked most of the rooms" in the Valley. I prefer Virginia's House to any other venue or gathering place anywhere else. Natalie Stahl -- who is the owner and proprietor -- is the reason. She is fully human, absolutely engaged in what is going on, and is truly committed to providing her clients with the best experience possible, regardless of budget and circumstances.

I have also helped celebrate numerous memorial services at Virginia's House, and Natalie's ability to guide people through emotionally charged moments is unfaltering. There are more fancy, eye-popping, and "impressive" venues in the Valley if you want to give your checkbook a workout. However, if you are wanting a lovely day (no matter the occasion) at a cost that is within reach of real people with real lives -- this is your place.

My fiancee found this gem for our wedding. Not only did Natalie (the owner) wait for us to get their around 9pm (as we had to drive up) but everything was all lit up and she took all the time we needed, and answered all my questions. Then she did an awesome job helping me with anything I needed. They also have recommendations for different things that you might need for your wedding day.

The service that Natalie provided was outstanding! On the days before my wedding she calmed my nerves and made me feel at peace. I was worried about every little detail. On the day of my wedding it went smooth. All of the tables were set and beautiful. I loved the way they placed the cake in the gazebo. If I needed anything she was right there helping.

We even forgot our card box and she had one that she provided! The personalized attention to detail was amazing. Natalie was a joy to work with, and the venue was amazing. We even got to do a sparkler exit! I would highly recommend this venue. The pictures are amazing and the friend that I found in Natalie is a blessing that will always be the highlight about the whole wedding experience. Kristen S.

My husband and I had our wedding and reception at Virginia's House and I couldn't have asked for a better experience. As a full time student with two jobs and a fiance leaving for the Air Force, I was totally overwhelmed about the wedding planning process; however, Natalie at VH was incredibly helpful from the get-go. While many vendors I encountered were pushy, non-personal, and even judgmental about our budget, Natalie was open, honest, and friendly.

Upon meeting her, she had tips and tidbits to share with me along with stories to match the advice. Her experience and expertise shined through in everything she did to help with the event. Natalie and her staff made sure all of my decorations (as particular and as silly as I asked for) were fulfilled exactly as I had envisioned and, actually, even better.

And even when slip-ups did occur (as they do with any wedding), Natalie made sure I was not frazzled or bothered by any little thing as the neurotic bride;). My family and friends felt at home at VH; the garden allows for a beautiful and classy yet comfortable and fun ceremony and reception. Our mid-size wedding (75 guests) was a perfect fit for the space but a smaller or larger event would be wonderful too. We danced the night away and had an amazing time. It was the best day ever and I can't thank Virginia's House enough!

Virgina's House was a pleasure to work with. Natalie was very easy and comfortable to work with. I'm looking forward to having my wedding there this November. I recommend Virgina's House to anyone looking for an amazing patio wedding.

Absolutely adorable! We are looking forward to holding our commitment ceremony at Virginia's House. We were referred to Natalie after our previous venue, Pinnacle Vista Villa, fell thru. Natalie was so helpful and accommodating and really set our mind at ease. Needless to say we will be able to sleep tonight knowing that our plans are back on track. Thank you.

Magic happens when you open the door of endless possibilities at Virginia House as though something lead you here where you are supposed to be. Natalie guided us through the wedding process with such ease that I felt as though I should be doing more but instead I got to enjoy the process. Every bride has a different journey and needs but I must say there is no better place to be in going through that path than with someone who has a passion for the business of love.

It was important that my groom and I share our uniqueness with our friends and family but it had to be on a budget. Our friends and family never knew it was a budget wedding. Instead we got nothing but compliments about how amazing it was even by the harshest critic. The whole night was like a dream that I will relive in my thoughts for years to come.

Virginia's house is an old victorian house located in historic downtown Glendale. I attended a wedding here and I thought that the venue was very charming. The house was decorated for Christmas and I think it added a magical touch on that special day. Natalie (the coordinator) was very nice and made sure everything went smoothly. She even helped us figure out how to tie up the corset on the brides wedding dress!

My friend bragged about how inexpensive the wedding was so I would definitely recommend Virgina's house for brides to be on a budget. The only downfall of having an event here is the location. It's not in the best neighborhood and while my friend was having her wedding we could here people at the Hispanic church across the street. I also caught the next door neighbor peeking through the fence! Regardless of those minor issues I will tell everyone about Virginia's house for weddings, receptions, and other special occasions.
