The Smithfield Center is a multi-purpose space with an extremely versatile design that meets the needs of small and large groups, with a 2,300 square foot deck that overlooks the Pagan River - a picture perfect place for a ceremony. Then invite your guests inside to our 5000 square foot Main Hall for your reception.

Just attended a lovely wedding for our friends Chris and Marybeth Adam's at Smithfield Center. It was a beautiful setting overlooking the water. The reception hall was large, well set for flow of the guest and the staff was friendly and attentive. The decor was current and fresh. I worked reccomend this location for your next event.

My God, this is a BIG secret, this is THE VENUE of VENUES! this is THE BEST venue for the buck, HANDS DOWN! they have A LOT of options to fit your needs. They have a variety of tables, over head projectors, large area outside deck, super clean! No traffic problems, very good to work with, really stress free, a moveable stage, moveable walls, its kinda out of the way, but its worth the travel! Trust me, TRUST ME, this is the venue!

We had our wedding here in June and it is absolutely beautiful. Calvin was AMAZINGLY helpful, he was the first person we met when we visited the center and that meeting helped us make our decision to cancel with the Historic Post Office and book with Smithfield Center and we are so glad we did. I only did not give 5 stars b/c our bridal suite was freezing; my bridesmaids, mother, makeup artist, her assistant and my hair Stylest were all cold.
My toes even started to go numb. My mother asked for the air to be turned down, but we couldn't feel any difference. My nose started to run b/c it was so COLD in the suite; that was really frustrating b/c my makeup was done, we were getting ready to walk out and here I am cleaning my runny nose. I absolutely recommend this place, just take a jacket, socks and a blanket for your bridal party, maybe even a space heater if it's allowed.

After seeing the "one-star" review, I felt I needed to respond. My daughter was married here in July 2012 and one of her best friends is being married here in 2015. The staff couldn't have been more accommodating to our needs/wants and they were wonderful to work with. It is a very nice venue, with beautiful views, at a very reasonable expense. We worked with Courtney and her staff over the course of a year and they were always helpful with suggestions, courteous, kind and encouraging. I couldn't have asked for a better experience.
