Sandpearl is literally the pearl in Clearwater Beach. The Carreta restaurant is a five diamond AAA restaurant and never disappoints. There Sunday brunch is extraordinary. The breathtaking views from any room in the hotel are memorable. Attention to detail is in this resorts mantra. If you've got to be in Clearwater Beach this is the five star location. On the opposite end of Pinellas County the Don Cesar resort never disappoints for Saint Pete beach resort goers.

This place is amazing. The hotel staff are all super friendly and super helpful. The atmosphere is absolute perfection. The fine dining restaurant (can't recall the name) was delicious. We're from Texas and can't wait to come back soon!

Gorgeous hotel right on the water. Having the pool and the ocean is a big plus. Poolside bar has great service food is good and drinks as well. The on-site spa is fantastic make sure you book ahead. We walked down the beach both ways beautiful in the morning and evening. Service is fantastic all around. Check in greeting includes a glass of champagne.

The on site restaurant is excellent good food and drinks excellent service. The only thing I'd like to see improved is the breakfast nook it runs out of food pretty quickly so we just ended up walking down to Starbucks which always had a long line so be prepared.

Service is always excellent - front desk was amazing (gave us an upgrade) and mimosa person (I forget her name) was always there for us :). People always very friendly - Gulf front view was amazing. Only negatives: turn down service was intermittent, coffee maker didn't work properly and room slightly smelled due to a leak from floors above. Overall - we love the Sandpearl and will be back - they just need to clean up some of the details.

My husband and I were married here in 2018, and we have visited multiple times since. The hotel is always very clean and comfortable. Everything feels modern and open. The huge windows let in a ton of natural light. The rooms are all very comfortable, and feel like they were updated recently. No complaints from us!

Nice restaurant and ambience. Went for our wedding anniversary. Not impressed with food, except for desert they gave us for our celebration yet price way above average. Staff very friendly and great service. Beautiful hotel and beach.

Went for brunch yesterday. And I have to say.this is the best brunch I've ever had. And I lived in Las Vegas for years (home of the AYCE buffet.) everything was so thoughtfully prepared and delicious. I ate more yesterday than I prob ate all week. And I don't care. It was 100% worth it.

Although a little bit pricey, you cannot ask for much more in a hotel. From the moment you walk in, the customer service is impeccable. The pier and other restaurants and shops are just walking distance away or they offer a free shuttle as well. The hotel is also a great place to watch the sunset from. We were greeted with welcome drinks (mimosa and champagne) and were immediately impressed by the cleanliness and luxury of the hotel. The pool and beach are both incredible. There is turn down service, nespresso machines in each room, and so much more. It was the perfect vacation getaway!

Several issues with this resort for how much we paid. Upon arrival, which was late due to our flight, there wasn't anyone at the front desk. We said "hello" loud enough so someone came out. She was not so pleasant and inviting. We were given 2 rooms on totally separate floors when we booked it we said we wanted connecting rooms for our kids. The rooms are nice but nothing spectacular and there are things for this type of resort that should've been replaced.

The tv console for instance has wood that is very worn. The hairdryer had scratches all over it and didn't work. The waiter at the Tate Grill was so rude I've never been treated like that ever. Then we went upstairs to get out of the sun and asked in the gift shop if we could get a coffee at the marketplace. The lady was so rude she said SHE CLOSED AT 2pm if you want coffee there's a Starbucks down the street.

The resort itself is beautiful but a lot of the staff should not be in customer service they're rude and unaccommodating. If returning to this area I'll never stay here again. I get better service with a smile at Hilton.

Absolutely the worst hotel/resort I have ever stayed at! They have so many unnecessary rules for their guests for the hotel but on top of that for the beach in front of the hotel. To boot they are extremely pricey which you would think buys you comfort but only buys you having to follow an extreme amount of rules. They are not dog friendly even though they say they are and I called and spoke to someone when I made the reservation.

The dogs can stay in the room or they can walk or actually sit on the smallest patch of grass. The front desk people are not nice and are not willing to help with anything. I had to chase down a cleaning person to clean the room while take the dog. When I asked the front desk she wrote the notes like she was going to have to do the cleaning and then never passed on the info. They were supposed to have someone call me but did not follow through as expected.

We came to the sand pearl to enjoy a nice evening at the pool and get food and drinks and jojo b came and ruined our evening and didn't tell us why. It was honestly one of the rudest and most humiliating experience of my life to kick me and my family away from the pool area when we were doing nothing wrong.

Beautiful Hotel, a flair of Hemingway's books, the Concierge is a really nice guys he should have a better desk with a nice chair, the valet drivers are super guys, the just one point was the Reception, I don't would care if the Receptionist would speak with a different accent or not perfect English, would be even much interesting, Hemingway's flair don't forget, but the Girls have to have lot of pain on hers feet, to see people stay the whole hours on the feet make me depressed, so the Girls doesn't look happy and the other Girl today, afternoon, dark hair shoulder long, glasses, pink shirt and Pearl necklace was very strange and not friendly.

Please give this people some high benches they can feel better and I don't will feel so terrible to see people suffering. Change the Employees rights in this Country, happy employees make everyone happy, including the Management and much more the guest.

Really well run hotel. Great amenities and location. Beautiful piece of property that is situated on a beach mostly away from the crazy busy typical Clearwater touristy vibe. Conference hall was modern and clean. Great service, but the food was average during our event. Front desk reception was polite and accommodating. I can't recall the woman's name who took care of us in the lobby but she was very thoughtful and pleasant. Fernandina?

I recently attended my son's wedding reception which was held at the Sandpearl Resort. Everything was impeccable! The staff was professional and courteous. They were friendly and kept the drinks and food going. Our meals were delicious. Everything was so beautiful. I would highly recommend the Sandpearl Resort for any function you may have

TLDR: upscale beach resort experience. Great for families and couples alike. We had a great little getaway at this beautiful resort. We really enjoyed the warm welcome complete with champagne, a kids drink & even a sand pail for the kids! We used the valet rather than finding parking on the beach and this made arrival and checkout super simple and convenient.

Our room was nice had a very classic look to it and beds were comfortable. The only draw back is our balcony room had a partial view of the beach and a partial view of the garbage area of the hotel. When you select beach view you really expect a bit more of a beach view. The pool was large with kind staff at the pool bar where we ordered dinner while the children continued to swim and play.

The beach area has plenty of chairs and umbrellas or cabanas to rent. The morning buffet, though a bit pricey, was really full of variety and had a great calm upscale vibe. The omelette were delicious! It was a quick stay but one I would definitely return to again!

Love this place, nicest resort in Clearwater Beach. Very clean throughout, great staff always friendly. Good location wishing walking distance to Pier 60 and restaurants and bars. Carretta restaurant in the hotel has great food with a phenomenal sunset view. The beach speaks for itself one of the nicest beaches in the world.

My husband came here for our honeymoon and thanks to the previous Yelp reviews! Check in was smooth, we were a little early. The concierge held our baggage until the room was ready and delivered them to our room when we called. Valet parking was $25/day and all the attendants were professional and quick when you needed your car. They gave us complimentary champagne for the check in.

Resort fee $29/day, included beach towels, chairs (umbrellas and cabanas were extra), two waters in your room and others. The room had coffee, wine glasses, wine opener, fridge and other necessities. We had a partial gulf view since we didn't plan to spend much time in the room. Housekeeping was efficient, they even delivered chocolate. Room service had a 22% service charge so we decided to pass on that but you could have had anything delivered.

The pool area was very clean and provided plenty of shady areas if you didn't want to be in the sun. The beach was so clean and private. At the spa, there was an 18% gratuity charge which bothers me because you should be able to decide the amount tipped for that service. I understand it protects the workers.

This resort was quite the let down in a lot of ways mostly the service. We stayed here for my husbands 40th birthday and we stayed in an oceanview room which was a nice room but nothing to write home about. We had screaming kids next door which was awful. I alerted the front desk and they laughed, apparently paying $500 a night for a room and hearing 3 kids screaming is okay. Poolside service was incredibly slow.

It took over 30 min to get a drink or food. I understand they were busy but they definitely needed more help. When I would go to the bar to get my drink our server seemed upset but I said I don't want to wait 30 min for a glass of wine and have it come back to me warm. The service definitely needed help. People also reserved chairs first thing in the morning by putting all their crap on there so when other guests came to the pool you couldnt find a spot.

I also didnt see any attendants checking the chairs to make sure if they were open or being used. It was pretty dirty. One day I rented us a cabana which was probably one of the worst cabanas experiences I've had. The cabana was filthy, there was food all over the floor and we didn't have our own server so again we had to chase down drinks and food all day.

The fan in our cabana was broken as well. I would definitely skip this. Private beach with lounge chairs but umbrellas not included. This was a cheap move. Just include the umbrellas. We ate dinner at Caretta on the gulf and the food was great but once again the service was horrible. Our drinks took over 30 min to get and they were all watered down since they had been sitting at the bar.

Our server had a huge attitude and it being my husbands 40th birthday it wasn't okay. The resort was beautiful but the service was lacking big time. For the amount of money you pay to stay there the service should be top notch.

We had such a wonderful experience here! I had read so many wonderful things about the famous Opal Sands hotel at the beautiful Clearwater beach. So I had it on my list of places I want to visit for a while. We were ready to book for our anniversary in July but like a true Yelp Elite, I did my thorough research and decided that the nearby Opal property Sandpearl Resort is a better fit for our family. 1) They actually have a private beach and offer beach chairs.

At Opal Sands you have to fight with the general public for a spot on the beach as it is a public beach with an outside company renting chairs to everyone. 2) I read it was more kid-friendly and we were traveling with our toddler 3) I read it has a bigger pool. I was so glad about his decision. The hotel was so classy and beautiful. Upon arrival, they served us complimentary mimosas and beach buckets for the kids.

There were plenty of fun activities for kids such as balloon art and a mega bubbles event as well as a movie under the stars every night and s'mores by the fire. We had breakfast included in our room rate. The breakfast buffet was amazing and staff was friendly.

Wow! This hotel is absolutely amazing. Every single person who works here is so nice. We had Elaine on Friday as our waitress on the beach and she was so patient with our group of 12. The next day we had Kyle and he was also just as great. The rooms were super clean, the beach, pool and other areas of the hotel are impeccable. I look forward to coming back real soon.

We shared a suite with a friend for a wedding we attended. I would never ever be able to justify the cost by myself but was glad to go halvsies bc it was absolutely gorgeous! Parking was painless using the valet service, but not cheap. The grounds are beautiful. I didn't get a chance to go swimming but it looks like the pool has really nice chairs with awnings, never seen that before.

There are also privste cabana areas for rent. It's right on the beach and across the street from entertainment, bars and food. The room had TWO balconies, one off of the master and one off of the living room. There was a full kitchen and dining area as well as washer and dryer in the bathroom closet. The bathroom was huge! Large tub and seperate shower stall, lots of floor space. probably the size of my kitchen at home lol. We requested a cot and it got delivered no problem. If you have the $$$ to stay here you can't go wrong.

Have stayed here twice so far within the past year and while you cannot beat the views, the location, the food, the pool service (Kyle is awesome) or the comfy beds, there are just a few things that could be improved upon. First: Housekeeping is quite overzealous. They come by every hour on the hour even when you have a Privacy sign on the door. They actually ignored the Privacy sign on my son's room and went in and cleaned the room anyway. Luckily no one was in there at the time. It's quite risky to just walk into a teenagers' room without permission.

They even threw away his Wagyu steak leftovers from the night before, which he was planning on eating when he got back from the pool. He was super bummed. The hotel did offer a $75 credit for their error, and while my wallet was happy about that, my son did not feel satisfactorily compensated (since that money went in my pocket instead of the steak in his belly).

My advice would be to make sure you put away anything you care about, because even the privacy sign doesn't stop this housekeeping crew. They really love to clean! Second, they have a tendency to double book their cabanas. Or at least, to give your reserved cabana away if you are not there within 30 minutes of reservation time. They called us to confirm that we were coming and even though we said yes we will be there after breakfast, by the time we got there someone else was already getting settled in our reserved cabana and they had zero intention of giving it up. Third, I called down to the concierge at 930 on Saturday morning.

No answer. So I called the front desk and they advised that she doesn't come in until 10. Okay, fine. Little odd for a vacation beach resort where people may want to get going on their activities a bit earlier but, whatever. So I tell my boys to meet me in the lobby at 10 so we can ask her to help set us up with parasailing and banana boat ride and possibly some bike rentals for the day. 10am, still no one at concierge desk.

So I go to the front desk. She should be here any minute. Tick tock. Ah there she is. "Hi, you must be the concierge! I was wondering if you could help us set up some activities for the day." Her: "Yes, of course, but I just got here so I need about 15 minutes to get settled first." My eye started to twitch. I told her thank you but no thank you and we walked out and winged it and still had an epic day.

Call me old fashioned, but when you start work at 10, you should be ready to START WORK AT 10. Meaning if it takes you 15 minutes to get set up then you should arrive at 9:45. Perhaps she needs to take some tips from housekeeping and their enthusiasm for their job.

Great spot, overlooking a gorgeous beach. Wi-Fi is pretty unreliable though so we did not use it. The restaurant downstairs is phenomenal - although we went across the street for lunch and breakfast because it's a lot cheaper. It's not an inexpensive place and I really don't like resort fees because I just feel that they are pennypinching. Aren't you paying enough for your room without those add-ons? Still, it's a special place. Maybe they will add a wooden walkway down to the beach for those of us who don't like walking in the sand.

As soon as Florida reopened we made a bee line to Sandpearl Resort. We were so excited to return! Our last visit was 5 years ago and it was as if time stood still when we arrived. Everything was clean, beautiful, and classy. The staff remains focused, friendly and helpful. So what is it like to vacation at Sandpearl during a pandemic? That answer is two fold.

One is about Sandpearl. Upon arrival, the valet were wearing face masks, they paper your seats, take your luggage and open the resort doors. The last time I was there valet parking was complimentary if you were a guest, now they charge $25.00 (plus tip!). The moment you step through the doors social distancing floor markers are everywhere. At check in, they are wearing face masks.

They give you a brand new pen to sign all of your paperwork and tell you to keep the pen for sanitary reasons. Your paperwork includes a short COVID19 survey that asks approximately 20 questions about you, if your symptomatic, etc. What I found remarkable was that the questionnaire targets the person checking in, not the rest of your group? They are not required to fill out this COVID19 survey.

Why not? Our room was beautiful! We had a pool gulf view. Sitting on the balcony was relaxing and the sunset views were priceless. Just as we remembered it. We had two incidences that should have never happened to us. It was a problem that was overlooked twice in a row. The only reason why I'm not spelling it out is because management graciously fixed the problems beyond our satisfaction.

This resort gets 5 Stars for their customer service. The second part of this review is about the people. The resort was doing their part but the guests seemed unaware that there's a pandemic going on. The elevator space was constantly full and uncomfortable. The pool area was extremely crowded. Every single chair was taken. The pool itself was full of people and children shoulder to shoulder. Drinks and food was being served by Tate Island Grill (emphasizing the handling of food & money).

There was absolutely no social distancing in place and no face masks. The mindset was vacation mode. FYI The beach was just as crowded. Checking out was easy. But before we left we wanted a few drinks ToGo. Their little cafe use to be a Starbucks the last time we were there. Nope, its gone! We tried to order an orange juice, a frappe and a Keto friendly coffee.

The service, communication and the drinks themselves were awful! TIP: go next door to get coffee and breakfast. Our overall experience was positive. We will definitely wait to return when there's no longer a contagious virus. If your going to travel during this pandemic you have to make the decision to be ok with the majority of people around not doing their part.

First trip for my sister, her boyfriend and I to Clearwater, LF and out of our homes in 3 months in general. Could not be happier or pleased with the customer experience service we had, especially with Elaine and Dan, and the overall resort experience. Beautiful resort, attentive staff to ensure we had the best experience, even though we were during a pandemic.

And wow - what a resort. Photos of the rooms, beach and pool areas, etc. don't do it justice! Highly recommend staying here! Thank you, ELAINE, Cody, Dan, Jordan, Andrew, Price, Axel and Elaina for making our stay SO lovely!

This is a very lovely place. When I got there, I was super hungry and had to jump onto a sales call. I grabbed some peanuts that were in room service. After a few bites, I realized they had expired 8 months ago. When the hotel texted to check up on me, I mentioned the food. They were so kind about it and sent me up some fruit and avocado, which was an AWESOME gesture!

The hotel overall was really nice: - Check in was a breeze (and I needed it to be because my plane was delayed. I was in and out in a few moments and there were even welcome drinks that I didn't partake in) - The lobby is lovely - There are great food options at the marketplace downstairs, even for low carb options (olive / feta cheese - YUM!) - Turndown service is great and includes chocolates - the BEST PART!

One night I told the maids I didn't need the service because I was going to bed early, but she still handed me the chocolates.;););) - The bed is sublimely comfortable - Room service is amazing - it's connected to the high-reviewed restaurant next door and was SUPER good and very fast. - The beach in the back is beautiful and they have lots of different games to play and things to do. I went here for a conference and asked the organizer if we could come back. It was a great experience!
