We cannot say enough wonderful things about Richard and Rockhill Plantation! Planning, communication, flexibility, and finally, the beauty of the venue were impeccable. We booked this venue before anyone even knew what COVID was and the original date was supposed to be July 2020. Richard was so wonderful in helping us navigate what was going on with state requirements and ultimately having to reschedule for July 2021, despite what I am sure was an uncertain time for him and his business.
He really did put our needs and comfort first- meeting with us and determining the safest way forward. When we finally got to July 2021and the big day it went flawlessly. Our event coordinator, Erin, who worked with Rockhill Planation was exceptional and Richard who DJ'd the event was amazing. Both of them felt like family and integrated themselves flawlessly into the day.
They seemed to be aware of what we needed before it even occurred to us. In fact, many months later, I am still hearing from family and friends about Richard's clear expertise in keeping the party going and making sure there were no lulls in the receptions flow. Erin, for her part, anticipated every possible contingency. You almost always hear about some sort of mishaps or "that one relative" at weddings- we had none of that because Richard and Erin were on top of it. Richard and Erin worked amazing with all of our vendors, from catering, to the florist, the officiant, and limo and shuttle drivers- Richard and Erin made sure that any issues were dealt with behind the scenes and had no impact on the festivities. (On that note, I will say I strongly recommend that anyone using this venue consider booking a shuttle service to take guests to and from the venue, as it is located on a country road- just to save yourself the worry of people not having to drive.) Lastly, the venue itself was beautiful, we scheduled the wedding for 6pm on July 10th 2021, so we were worried about heat and/or rain. Thankfully, the day was beautiful but in addition, the venue has many flowering trees that made the views beautiful (and cut down on our florist bill for those who are budget minded). Richard allowed us to bring a few outdoor games (cornhole) and we had ice tea and water stations in a couple places, so the grounds really felt like a comfortable, family gathering.
We had close to 100 people in total and at first were a little concerned about space in the reception hall. However, that turned out to be a needless worry. There was plenty of space for dancing, dining and conversation. The patio in the back was the perfect hang out place for drinking and catching up- you could see all the dancing and activity but the music on the patio wasn't so overpowering you couldn't talk.
The large lawn area was perfect for the younger guests to run around and play games. In short, I am so thankful we found Rockhill Plantation for our daughter's wedding. We couldn't have asked for better people to work or a place to make wonderful memories.

My wife and I had our wedding on Halloween. The entire property is beautiful and will impress those you invite to your ceremony. Richard and his wife are an amazing team did an amazing job hosting/planning/DJing for our event. They are also well know. They set us up with all the best catering, bartending, flowers, party decorator etc for the event which took a lot of stress off our back. Thank you rock hill for an amazing day that my wife and I and our family will never forget. The Milana's

We recently had our wedding at Rock Hill and it was nothing short of amazing! Richard will take great care of you not only as the venue owner but also as a DJ. The grounds were absolutely gorgeous with a perfect indoor/outdoor layout. We received numerous compliments on how well done and beautiful our wedding was! We could not have had this amazing day without using the wedding coordinator Richard suggested. Caroline went above and beyond working with Richard and the 2 of them helped us celebrate without having to worry about anything. I happily recommend Richard and Rock Hill for any event you may have!

We had such an amazing and beautiful wedding day at Rock Hill Plantation! The owners were so personable and friendly. The property is gorgeous, as well as very well-kept and spotless, both inside the house and outside. It has a classy/elegant, yet southern charm to it. We would highly recommend Rock Hill Plantation! The venue was so lovely.

Rock Hill Plantation House is an amazing venue. There could not have been a more perfect place for our daughters wedding. The property and venue are not only beautiful but spotless. Richard the owner was available during the entire planning and wedding day. Caroline the day coordinator was exceptional. The wedding went off without a hitch. Guest continue to tell us, it was one of the best weddings they have ever attended. We also recommend Richard as your DJ. He is so fun and keeps the party going. Highly recommend

My husband and I visited a lot of venues before Rock Hill, and there is something about this place that made us fall in love! The owners are incredibly kind, accommodating, and take excellent care of the plantation home and grounds. The bridal suite is HUGE and offers plenty of "picture perfect" moments during your big day. My favourite part was something we felt a lot of venues overlook: this place has a Mancave!
A lot of venues kinda.stick the groom in a corner "till he's needed" but this venue will take care of your groom and his guys too! That was super important for me. Amazing time at our wedding, everything was beautiful, and I wouldn't change a thing!

I highly recommend Rock Hill Plantation. Richard is absolutely AMAZING to work with! He is very professional, but at the same time, laid back, extremely helpful, friendly, funny and just a great guy. He is also an awesome DJ. My husband and I got married on New Year's Eve and we had a very unique wedding where it was more of a NYE party with a brief ceremony in the middle. Richard was very accommodating and just as excited to help us figure out all the details of how the night should go.
I would text or email him at random times (day/evening, weekdays/weekends) with questions and he would always be quick to respond. He honestly took so much stress off of me as a bride trying to plan the wedding. As for the wedding itself, it was beautiful and just what we wanted. All of our guests commented on how beautiful the venue was and how great the DJ (Richard) was. So to all the brides out there, do yourself a favor and book your wedding at Rock Hill Plantation! You won't regret it!
