Services
A: Yes, but we STRONGLY advise you make an appointment to ensure that we have a consultant available. A: A standard rental period is three days, as most of our orders are on a Friday - Monday basis. We accommodate weekly and long-term rentals as well. Please contact us for a quote for specific dates.
At Georgia Roussos Catering, we rely on our partnerships with other vendors to produce a successful event. It all has to come together to meet and exceed our client's expectations. I cannot say enough good things about Port City Rentals-they are simply the best at what they do. We have collaborated with Brad and his team for dozens of client events over the years, and they have gone above and beyond for us each time.
We are seeking a catering equipment manager. This person will be in charge of all catering equipment (China, Glassware, Flatware, Equipment, etc.), going out to customers during the week, and making sure returns are made by the date specified by the event coordinator. This also includes cleaning the equipment once it returns back to the warehouse. They will also maintain inventory and record any broken items.

As wedding director, I was disappointed with the quality of the products delivered to a recent event at a local Mobile venue. Several chairs were broken and chairs were delivered with signage taped on them from a previous event. The tables were so old thankfully tablecloths were used to cover them. The comment was made several times that Port City was certainly providing items with all profit because the items had certainly seen its share of events.

There was no help with set up so be prepared to place chairs, cushions, arrange/move tables, etc. if needed. (this may be a service that requires extra $ so not sure on this). It is my understanding Port City is the only vendor allowed to provide goods for this venue. If so, the venue may want to consider adding some competition.

We had a great experience with a bouncy house/water slide combo rental for my sons birthday party. They made it very easy to coordinate drop off and pick up. The men who dropped off and picked up the bouncy house were great! Would definitely recommend!

We rented a tent for a 4th of July event. We put caution tape on straps and stakes so they would be extra visible since there were kids at our event. When they showed up today to take the tent down, they cut the tape off and left it all in the yard, even though there was a dumpater 50ft away.

First off, I would like to ask whatever happened to good customer service? The young lady that answered the phone was very rude as if she didn't want to help. I inquired about chair rentals and backdrop stand. If you've ever worked in a business where customer service drives your company, you should know this makes a big difference to the people.

I just rented a dance floor from them for my wedding last weekend and they were the worst vendor we worked with. They did not show up for our venue walk thru and were not friendly nor accommodating at any point. We decided to contact them the week of the wedding to see if we could rent a tent for a rain plan and Erin C essentially chuckled at my mom on the phone to tell her they didn't have any tents to rent to us, allegedly. I'm not sure if they're this rude to everyone but there are a lot of other rental company's to choose from in Mobile and I won't be giving them a dime in the future.

The staff is so friendly and responds with such promptness. I couldn't have asked for a better rental company. Online payments made everything a breeze and when I needed chairs and a table added there wasn't any issue or confusion about what was needed. Plus they offer Sunday delivery without and upcharge!

Port City was so prompt with responding to every email that I sent them and sent exactly what we were after for our wedding day. They deliver on Sunday without any additional charges and that was HUGE for us as a lot of the other rental companies do charge you an additional fee for Sunday deliveries.

This place was very good on communicating and making sure I had what I needed, Taylor Crute was nice and answered my emails but this all changed once I paid in full for my wedding rentals. The emails and phone calls started to turn to her being very snippy for simple request like "what time will you be there the day of my wedding to set up?". My venue and other vendors were wanting to work around my rental company in order to make sure the set up went smoothly but I had to ask for days to get this simple request answered and just got attitude from Taylor Crute.

To top it all off, they threatened to not deliver my rentals less than 16 hours before my wedding because my step dad went with another rental company for the tent we needed because of the rain possibility on our wedding day. If I knew this is how I would be treated, I would have went with Mobile popcorn from the start, but didn't realize they did rentals till the day before my wedding.

Then to top it all off they were late delivering our rentals and sent one person to unpack and set up a chairs and tables for a 100 people and the tables for inside the venue. My groom and groomsmen had to help unload because there was no way 1 delivery man would have set up in time. Avoid this place at all cost for your big day, go with mobile popcorn instead.

I've already spread the word with every new bride I come across to not rent from this place. Update: After receiving an email from Taylor Crute blaming me for taking advantage of their company and blaming me that they are now reevaluating their tent policy. They report me to Facebook for my truthful and honest feedback on their company.

Port City Rentals is the ONLY place to work with in Mobile, AL! Taylor Crute is by far their best employee and most helpful planner. I wish I could give six stars because Taylor and the company are flawless!

I have read some of the reviews posted by other people and I have to say that I am pretty surprised by them. My experience with Port City Rentals has been amazing. I hired them to setup a corporate dinner with very short notice. When I walked into the store (I didn't have an appointment) the woman working at the front desk (I think her name is Michelle) greeted me and was very friendly.

There were several other customers in the store and I had time to look around. Eventually the other people left and Michelle not only helped me to choose a color scheme, she also helped me with my layout and number of chairs/tables I needed since she was very familiar with the event's venue. On top of that, the day before our dinner the weather was supposed to be terrible.

With only one day's notice I was able to arrange to have a large tent setup by the company. The guys that did the setup were quick and moved all the furniture exactly to my layout even under the tent. For anyone having issues with emails not getting answered, I really do suggest calling as these people seem to be swamped all the time! I will definitely use them for next year's dinner!

I thought Port City Rentals did a decent job. I never had problems with communication. However, if I want something done, I don't email people. So whenever I went into the store, I was always helped perfectly fine. The chairs for the wedding ceremony were exactly what I was expecting. The only thing that threw me off was the cost to rent chairs. But, I have never done this before, so I'm probably extremely out of touch with prices. Overall, I was pleased. They set everything up and took it down when they were supposed to, so I was a happy bride.

We used Port City for our wedding and reception. They were a huge source of stress. The response time to emails and phone calls is slow. You have to practically beg to get anything accomplished. A couple of times they were actually rude in response to simple questions. In the end all the equipment got delivered, but it was a huge hassle. Oh, and if you want a white aisle runner, don't use theirs. It's pathetic.
