Worse course around NoVA. Fairways are a joke. Looks like a desert with some cacti. I can't believe they even think about charging green fee like a descent course while it's not even worth of $25. Fix the course first and charge more.

Such a wonderful place to have a wedding or any event. The bartenders and wait staff were superb. Classy. Elegant and down to earth. A beautiful setting with artifacts throughout the facility and you can see the beautiful golf course from the balcony. It was a cold rainy day but the portable fire place kept us warm. Planting of space to park and the bathrooms were spotless. Enjoyed the experience.

For being mid February the course was in good shape. Greens were slow but in great shape.

If I could give it 0 stars, I would. The pace of play is unacceptably slow. It took 3 hours to finish 9 holes, and was only able to play 15 holes, in FIVE HOURS! The Marshall was asking if it was slow behind us. That doesn't even make any sense! The club house is nice, but the fairways are beat up. The bunkers should be GUR. I won't be playing this course again, and wouldn't recommend it to anyone. It's a shame because the layout is pretty good.

Played here last weekend. Almost all tee boxes were dirt. Hardly any spots to tee off in grass. Same with a lot of the fairways. Grass less areas and not in very good condition. The greens were one of the positives, other than that nobody fixed their ball marks so there are bumps. This was my first golf experience in Virginia, so I don't know if this is typical for the area, but there were no rakes in any of the bunkers or on the carts, so it left for some bad lies in the sand. The driving range was very subpar, as you hit off of mats, and woods/metals were into a net. This was a bit frustrating as the greens fees were $84.

We had our wedding reception here recently, and honestly I couldn't have asked for a more perfect day. The team at Old Hickory Golf Club is truly amazing. The attention to detail when setting up the decor just blew me away. Michelle was really incredible - so patient, flexible, super organized, and accommodating of all our requests, even at the last minute she learned that my mom and sister were vegan and designed a special dinner just for them!

We've received so many compliments from our guests saying that the food was really out of this world especially the coconut shrimp and lamb lollipops). Robin was also fantastic! She got us drinks the entire night;) and made sure that we enjoyed ourselves. My husband and I would give Old Hickory 10 stars if we could, and would gladly pick this venue again for any other event.

To Michelle and the team - you all were truly phenomenal, thank you so much for your help on this important day, and thank you for making it the wedding party of our dreams :)

I like the course layout a lot, but it might finally be time to move it off our rotation. A few weeks ago they called me a couple of days before my tee time to tell me they could no longer honor it as they had a tournament and they needed the tee time back. They gave me a 2 for 1 (which I can't use on Fri-Sun mornings), which isn't massively usefel for me.

I returned last week to play on a Friday - we were off at 7am and at 9am we can into a tournament at the 9th - 2 groups stacked up on the tee box. The back nine was so slow, in the end we had to walk off the 17th after 4hrs 50 mins. No communication/heads up about the tournament. It's a shame as I like the course, but I don't have time to deal with that given I only get to play a couple of times a month.

Greens and fairways burned. Fairways were littered with goose feces and dirt patches. Rode in a cart but not a great layout for golfers looking to walk. Certainly not worth the price point, it's a shame that courses are taking advantage of people looking to play a round of golf and still can't keep up with the course conditions.

I am very disappointed and a bit sad to have to do this because Old Hickory has been one of my absolute favorite courses in the NoVA, but it is really bad out there on the course. Tee boxes, fairways, rough, fringe, and worse yet the greens were all in terrible shape. Pace of play was 5+ hours - waited on almost every single shot - and there seemed to be ZERO interest from the course to help nation a decent pace of play.

I cannot think of a scenario where I would go back and pay $80+ to go thru that again. I hope that within the Raspberry Mgmt Group there is someone who can assist this course in getting up to the standards of Bull Run, Raspberry Falls or even Blue Ridge Shadows.

Very sorry to ha e to post this, as was always one of my favs around va. But played yesterday and course was shocking, greens were reasonable, but fairways bunkers and ts brutal. I have noe problem when a course has had problems after a hot summer. But not a word from pro when I booked or even when we arrived. Not even a offer of free range balls. They are still charging top rates. Won't be back for a long time. pity

PLEASE DO NOT WASTE YOUR MONEY! This course once was amazing and for some reason forgot about the course. This course is in terrible shape. Awful tee boxes, poor excuse for fairways, and below average greens. This course needs to charge no more than $30 to play here. It's almost disrespectful to charge full price knowing how bad of shape this course is in!

Played Old Hickory on Sunday 05/11/20. Had not played it in years. It's consistent with other Raspberry Golf Managment properties - run down, no maintenance, still charging premium price because they can. The course was probably "overbuilt" initially, when that was the style of the times and the amount of maintenance required to keep it up would be unsustainable.

It shows. The starter told us on #1 tee, that we were in luck because until Sunday they had been playing all bunkers as ground under repair. $92 -- all bunkers, ground under repair. One bunker had been totally dug up and just left, most others had the felt from the bottom underneath used to keep the sand in place protruding through. It was kind of a dump.

Course routing it fine. It gets a little claustrophobic in spots as you're weaving through McMansions. Pace of play was shockingly great! I'm guessing this was a COVID19 unintended consequence, as everyone had their own golf carts. Would I go back -- maybe. It's just difficult to pay top dollar for a less then premium experience. It's a $60ish dollar golf course now. The days of $92 for Old Hickory should be over.

Overall a great golf experience! Pace of play can be a little much at times, however playing in the afternoon solves that issue for the most part. The course has a great layout with a mixture of shorter and longer holes with firm fast greens. Would recommend stopping by if you are in the Woodbridge area.

Played today. The course is in bad shape. In large areas on each fairway there's no grass, although it looks the bare wispy parts have been visited by the slit seeder, there are parallel grooves sliced into the ground. Still it will take time to recover. As has been noted, some of the tee boxes are ratty and burned out, while others have better coverage.

Overall it looks as if the tee boxes and fairways were hit by fungus. The bunkers were thinly covered, rocks and pebbles in among the sand. Greens were in decent shape except the fringes also suffered burnout. Also - I know not many courses invest in the cart paths, but the rough and un-maintained condition of those added to the overall sense of decay.

Sad to see these courses that used to be so grand descend to such a sorry state. We had $60 coupons for the round, but would never pay the rack rate at this point. Maybe in the spring.

Played today if I could give it less than one star I would. Tee boxes messed up. Fairways were a disaster ground under repair in the landing area for 3 or 4 holes. Greens were no better. Paid more to play here than most courses and there is no doubt the condition of this course is the worst I have played in Northern VA. Avoid this course at ANY price.

The most miserable golf course in Prince William County. No starter on a Friday morning, cart path only on a 100 degree day, sand traps filled with water, greens burnt, 5+ hour round (twosome). The price this course is asking for the quality is an absolute rip off.stick with FG. The driving range looks like something out of a horror movie.seriously scary.

I cannot believe they even have the audacity to post the superintendent and pros name on the scorecard. I would be embarrassed.really. Do you guys need a $1000 loan to take that embarrassing half destroyed net down? Maybe get a range mat thats not sunk into the ground or weathered? Where is the money going? Where is the wedding money going? Not a dime has been put into that range. And open your damn snack bar, it's 100 degrees outside, we are thirsty! Give it a few more years, this course will be closed.what a dump.

I won a free round for a foursome at a scramble golf tournament last year. So, I and two other guys played this course today for the first time. Overall we were very impressed by the landscape and beauty of the course and the surroundings. The staff was very friendly. The greens are super fast from what I'm used to. Definitely couldn't play this course without a cart. Since this was a complimentary round I don't know how much of a value this course is, but I would definitely like to return.

The golf course was in great shape and the staff was friendly and helpful at every turn. The lies in the fairway were excellent and the greens were true.

We had our wedding at Old Hickory Golf Club. Everyone said the food tasted amazing. We had an open bar with premium liquor and when they ran out of Southern Comfort, Robin arranged to purchase additional bottles from the ABC store which made our guests very happy. Michelle helped us select the appetizers, entrees, etc. The coconut shrimp appetizer is to die for.

She also helped us with coordinating the cake, DJ and photographer and layout. The entire staff was exceedingly helpful and they accommodated all of the dietary restrictions.

Old Hickory has outstanding staff, but current the vast MAJORITY of the course, including ~ 50% of the fairways have been overcome by some sort of black fungus. Greens are also in bad shape. Play there is definitely impacted. I would project it will be a year of so before this changes. Hope it comes back.

The staff is absolutely polite. Great food and wonderful golf. The bartenders make you feel at home. The only bad thing is the golfers that play so slow here at times, not the course fault. The layout is very interesting and this course is the best in Prince William County.

I have played Old Hickory for numerous years and always find the course enjoyable to play. The pace of play can be horrible and the range is a mess, but the course conditions and quality of the staff make up for it. The course is much too hard for most amateurs and there are way too many white stakes. Plan on a long day! The food in the clubhouse is awesome and they have a good selection of apparel in the clubhouse. Overall.beautiful place to play in Woodbridge!
