They fed me plastic! I went in to Nancy's fancies to buy edible glitter for some desserts I was making for a party. I let the owner know several times that I needed edible glitter. She actually sold me plastic glitter. Several days after the party I noticed tiny tiny writing on the label that said not edible. I called the Celebakes company to confirm what the Techno glitter was made out of, and it is plastic.

I called Nancy Fancy's back to let them know, and they could care less. The woman who answered the phone was rude and told me that the FDA would soon be approving this glitter as edible. Which is impossible since it's pure plastic! No responsibility and no regrets on their part. I will not be using this store again.

Terrible customer service. I was just in there with my two year old trying to hold her and not let her get down and get into everything. I had one package of cupcake holders to purchase and I was asking about filling balloons to which the lady told me she can't give me a price unless I bring them in tomorrow. She then asked me if she can help someone else first so I thought ok she is going to give me a price she then tells me again she can't do it.

So why did she decide to help someone with 10-15 items in her hand and no toddler and not ring up the woman balancing a toddler a wallet and only 1 item to purchase. I told her forget it and left. How inconvenient and totally rude terrible customer service I will never go to this messy unorganized store ever again

This is a great place to shop for unique gifts and accessories for all occasions. It has quire a selection of items to choose from. You can spend quite a while just browsing the aisles. I was able to find my gifts and some birthday decorations all in the same store. Great little shop!

I'm a total last minute kind of person and Jody went far and beyond to make my nieces birthday extra special. Great customer service. Will definitely use her again for future! You will not be disappointed.

I have always loved this place for all of my baking/cake decorating needs. I was able to find the perfect decorations to add to my cupcakes, from the liners to the sprinkles. Great assortment of everything and I have been coming here for years and will continue to do so; truly a local gem.

I absolutely love Nancy's fancy's! I've have been going here for years for all of my baking needs. I just recently started a pastry business and they have gone above and beyond to help me get ingredients and supplies I need. Their customer service is amazing and I wouldn't go to any other place for my baking supplies.

Love love love this place! Not only do they help you out with questions they also assist you in problem-solving. Always been extremely friendly and they always go out of their way to make you feel comfortable. I love that they have a variety of things from baking to decorating for a party to balloons to rental of a cotton candy machine! I've been here a couple times and my children have taken their classes. Very family-friendly, I highly recommend them if you need an inspiration or if you have questions and their prices are fantastic!

Jody arranged and carried out a fabulous 13th birthday party for my daughter! We talked a few times before the party and she customized it to suit the birthday girl and her friends perfectly. Everyone started with a very yummy undecorated cake, and ended up with a personalized (and delicious) masterpiece to take home. Jody and Albert were super helpful and made sure everyone had a great time. And the store has everything you could possibly need to make masterpieces at home too.

I have been shopping at Nancy's Fancy's for over 20 years. I have seen several management changes but have been able to always get what I needed and assisted by friendly and knowledgeable staff. Throughout the years with the changing economy, times and technology they have managed to keep their supplies current with new and exciting items that are Pinterest worthy. People can be hard to please, customers can have unique needs but Nancy's Fancy's has strived to please

Jodie is been so helpful, I started my little baking business and she's been so great to me alway happy, she really takes care of her costumers. As her costumer I can say that I really trust them. Every time I need a edible image I just give her a call and I pay on the phone. never had any trouble with her store. Never charged me over. One time I forgot a few things and she give me a call letting me know that I forgot my stuff in her store. i been shopping in this store for a year and half and I can really recommend it. there the best, Jodie your a angel saver thank you so much.

Just keep the same way you been Trade your costumer always respectful, friendly and honest thank you for all you do. In life we have to deal with people that don't appreciated anything. I'm glad your doing so good ones again thanks for everything

Nancy's Fancy's has the best selection for baking goods, balloons and special event accessories. I have always received the best customer service. If you can't find something, just ask and they will help you find it or order it if they don't have it on hand. Jodie is SO knowledgeable and is always willing to brainstorm if you have an upcoming event and need ideas.

I am a steady customer and have never had a problem with pricing as stated by another review. They have quality products, not Dollar Store level. They even carry live flowers for special occasions! who knew? Check it out!

DOUBLE CHECK YOUR RECEIPTS WHEN SHOPPING AT NANCYS FANCYS. THE OWNER WILL RIP YOU OFF! I usually do not write reviews but this will be my exception. I'm a cake decorator, I own a small baking business, and I have been shopping at Nancy's Fancy's for at least 8 years, and when it sold a few years ago it went straight down the tubes, and it's only getting worse.

The other day I went in to buy some royal icing flowers and some other things that I needed, Jody (the owner ) Was at the counter just getting off the phone and complaining about someone who owed her money and was having issues getting a check from them, I laid my stuff in the counter and she proceeds to ring me up, now I watched her pick up each item and ring it up, didn't seem like I got a ton of stuff and my bill came to $75. Paid for my stuff and left the store.

When I got back to my kitchen (only minutes away) I decided to check my receipt and my partner and went through it with a fine tooth comb, we discovered that Jody The Owner had over charged me, in fact she had over charged so badly that she added items that I did not even buy. I had 1 item at 2.99 she charged me for 6. In fact I think she kinda just made up prices.

She over charged to the tune of $27, and let me add, that her receipts are not itemized so it's a challenge to check Price to item. We collected everything that we had bought went back to the store and started to address the issue, I tried several times trying to explain to Jody what had happened, she kept taken the receipt from me and interrupting me.

I kept asking her to let me explain and listen to me, she kept on, I totally lost my cookies on her, I'm ashamed of my behavior but I have never been treated like this. I have to admit I did make her cry, but she kept making excuses of what happened, and made feel like it was my fault, I told her that you look right at those prices and still rang up what you wanted, you over charged me $27.

She did refund my $ and I so Apologize to her for making her cry. We left the store and got in my car. She left her store cane running out and ask me about the cake boxes, I told her I did not buy cake boxes today, she thought that was the problem. She totally believes I cheated her. Today 7/22 she called me to tell me that I'm 86 from her store.

That is fine with me. Makes me wonder how many people she has done this to. IF YOU EVER SHOP IN THERE DOUBLE CHECK YOUR RECEIPTS TO MAKE SURE SHE, THE OWNER, IS NOT RIPPING YOU OFF.

My granddaughter s birthday was coming up and I cannot be there. My son told me she loves this store so I called and they helped me surprise her and it was fabulous. You ladies are the best, thank you so very much from a grandma in southern Virginia

If your having a party big or small, you have to go see Jody. She will trick your party out. Jody did my daughters graduation for the budget I could afford, and it looked like a party for the rich and famous. Ask her for her chocolate fountain, it was a big hit.

Man oh man do I like this place. Jodie and her staff are so helpful - they'll even give advice about building a large cake. And the store is so well stocked, especially for us home bakers. Sometimes I just go to look to see what tools might inspire new projects. I like the classes they offer too.

Since new owner has stepped in the store has become even better. They are knowledgeable and always great customer service. Lots of new products and shelves are always full. I enjoyed going before but it is now my first choice when I need something before other stores. If you haven't been in in a while you should definetly stop in and see what I mean

They were so helpful today when I didn't have a clue about decorating my son's birthday cake with fondant icing. They gave me the confidence to plunge right in and I'm so pleased with the results! Wish you could see it!

What a treasure! Especially for the baker. I teach culinary arts and Nancy's has everything you need from the esoteric to the mundane. The service is great and so are the classes. If you have checked in since it changed hands, do yourself a favor. The new owner has done a great job.

New owner Jodie saved the day! I was scrambling for a cake and she was able to make it with super short notice! Jodie and her staff were very attentive and sweet. Jodie shared her plans for new supplies coming in and her excitement for classes. Cake looked and tasted great. It was a basketball court with a giant basketball in the center. She also made cupcakes with the boys jersey numbers on them!

Great idea! Boys loved it and parents ooh'd and ahh'd. I know this place had a bad wrap before Jodie took over. She's been there since January 2017. Definitely give her a chance. You won't regret it!

A year or two ago, this place used to be pretty good. They had a good selection, their prices felt fair, and the employees were mostly helpful and friendly. Unfortunately, my last few visits have not been good. Most recently, I stopped in during the week to pick up some items for my daughter's birthday party, including a flavored filling for the cupcakes I was baking.

I asked at the front about costs for renting a helium tank, but the woman who was working didn't know how much they were. (When your store windows are emblazoned with "we rent helium tanks!" shouldn't the staff have the necessary details?) Okay, never mind then! Guess I'll just buy balloons and have them filled on the day of the party.

Fast forward to a few days later when I open the filling to put it in the cupcakes. The moment the lid is off it smells AWFUL, like some kind of soapy chemical smell. I tasted a tiny bit and nearly gagged. I made my husband taste it and he said it tasted rancid. So I put something else in the cupcakes and took the filling back the next day when we went back for balloons.

I took the filling up to the front counter and the woman said "I'll have to ask my manager." Okay, understandable, so we start picking out balloons while she goes to the back. She comes back up, doesn't say anything, so I took my 13 balloons to be filled up to the counter. Then she tells me "oh, we like a one hour warning." Okay.why did no one mention this to me when I came in asking about helium tanks three days ago? Also, it's a whopping thirteen balloons. "I might have to stop and serve other customers, since I'm the only one working." Didn't you have to go talk to your manager in the back five minutes ago? Also, there are maybe two or three other people shopping in the store.

After filling a few balloons, she suddenly realizes she's not the only one working, and pages her manager to the front to help. They both work on filling the balloons and start complaining to each other about how much they basically hate doing it! "Remember that time someone ordered 150 balloons, then came in and asked for 50 more? I couldn't feel my fingers!" Gee, I'm so sorry for making you do your job.

After they finished with the balloons, the first woman rang me up. I asked what her manager had decided about the nasty filling, and she said "that's how it's supposed to be. It's a new product we just started carrying and we've had a lot of complaints but that's how it's supposed to be, there's nothing wrong with it.

But she'll give your money back." I made a comment about how I used to be able to get lemon, vanilla, and coconut curd at my grocery store so I had never used their fillings before, and she interrupted me to say "yeah but those weren't made right, they didn't have preservatives and they had to be refrigerated so they all spoiled." What?

They had to be refrigerated after opening, yes, but I never had a spoiled one, my grocery store just got rid of them when they remodeled and shrank the baking section. I paid and left, and as soon as we were outside, my mom and I exchanged a wide-eyed look, wondering did that really just happen? Isn't it considered bad form to complain about your other customers in front of customers?

Bottom line, this place has gone seriously down hill in terms of customer service, prices, and stock. I would have cut them some slack on the nasty filling if they'd at least been nice about it, but I won't keep giving my money to a place that makes me feel bad about asking them to do their jobs!

I love going to Nancy's Fancy's. They have such a great variety of things and the best quality melting chocolate. They have everything you need for baking and parties, and stuff you didn't even know you needed. I took a candy making class and learned a lot of really great tips, plus got yummy samples to taste! They also have great customer service.

Everyone who works there is incredibly helpful and friendly. You really feel like they care about helping you, which is hard to come by in stores now days. If you tell them what you are making they will give you advice on what products are best for that.

Went here to find wedding supplies, would have been better off going to the dollar store, I can get better things at Walmart for way cheaper mind you. Was highly recommended from my mom when she got married over 27 years ago but I can clearly see it all went down hill from then on.

I have been to Nancy's many times, for a variety of different baking and decorating supplies. I remember coming here with my grandma and mom for stuff, way back in the day! Although I can find many useful things here, I have noticed in my last 3-4 trips that they have severely reduced their stock. Almost everything I needed was out of stock. Although I have always received helpful assistance and good customer service, I left disappointed today to see the plethora of "Time to Re-order" tags along the wall, and also knowing I'll have to order online instead of supporting a local business that has been around for a long time.

I know I'll still continue to shop here, it's really the only local option for me for this type of stuff. I hope to see a much better job re-stocking in the future, though!

I recently took the candy making class and had a good time. I learned a lot and was able to make candy at home the next day because they had everything you needed all right there. They offered a truffle making class soon after and that was great! There are some things that are a little higher in price but since there's such a big selection, I didn't mind paying a little more for one stop shopping.

But don't get me wrong, not everything is pricey. I can't spend too long in there though. My mind starts going a million miles a minute with all of the ideas I get when I'm there! My husband says I'm only allowed to go if I need truffle supplies. He's no fun. :

My previous shopping here was abysmal when I went again in May of this year it was significantly better. I dealt with two entirely different people who were friendly, kind, and helpful. Being that it was only one shift experience, it wasn't enough to entirely overcome the crazy rude experience I had a while before, but it was a huge improvement.

Enough at least to encourage me to try again sooner than later. (BTW, they were also unboxing merch at the front still, but were eagerly serving customers first. Much better Fancy's!)
