Really nice place in a beautiful location. The place has only a handful of rooms on a descent size property which gives it a bit of an exclusive feel while sitting outside enjoying fresh air with beautiful views of the bay. They offer good customer service and the rooms are very comfortable, many with good views of the bay.

Clean, comfortable and charming. Wonderful breakfast & great service. Would definitely stay again!

Beautiful rooms in a lovely home, oerched on some of the best real-estate in Santa Cruz county. Beautiful gardens, serene ambiance. Loved the Lilac Room!

The Monarch Cove Inn was adorable! The Ocean View room was lovely! I would say the views from the Ocean View and the Lavender Room looked the same, but the Ocean View room has great privacy. The continental breakfast that was served was way more than I expected and was delicious. Would come back!

This is a nice B&B with nice staff in a nice location in a nice neighborhood with nice rooms with nice beds and pillows etc. and nice breakfast, but with certain less-than-nice room features. There are no electrical outlets with easy access next to the bed, the shower stall is very small, the sink is very low, and the toilet is a very tight fit even for thin people and especially for tall people.

I have stayed here twice, and I'm always ready to go back. The staff is wonderful, very nice breakfast service to your door, and the accommodations are so charming that it's hard not to fall in love with it. The location is amazing, basically on a cliff overlooking Monterey Bay and the ocean. And it's such an easy walk to Capitola village, with its beach, great little places to eat, wine tasting, little shops, bars.

This is our second stay and I have to say it is as nice as our first. I love the history and Victorian architecture. The location is perfect. If you are looking for a peaceful and beautiful retreat, this is it! The staff is very nice and accommodating. The spacious rooms offer period decor and are very clean. The grounds and views from the rooms are amazing! Sincere thanks to the Blodgett family for keeping the traditions and continuing standards of this magical place on the California Coast.

Most peaceful and breathtaking place I have ever stayed at. Also, A+++ for the Dog Friendly environment and staff. The history of this place alone was worth every penny. I loved waking up every morning to the humming birds and monarch butterflies every morning. Definitely, will be going back every time we are around. Thanks again for everything!

Peaceful Zen GEM Liked On arrival the lady who greeted us was so welcoming & gave us an upgrade because they weren't full, she said this was customary if they had room, luck for us that they did. We liked that it was in a neighborhood with houses & very quite away from the town but still walking distance to all that you needed.i This is not hotel rooms, it is cottages of different sizes to suit all set in beautiful gardens.

Our cottage had a beautiful draped bed with a seating area & table/chairs where we had our continental breakfast that was amazing, fruit, granola, yogurt & pastries. The bathroom was huge with bath & shower, beautiful marble. The cottages are on a cliff overlooking the Ocean, there are steps & a path leading down but sadly we didn't have time to explore that as it was raining when we there in Dec.

We definitely will be returning to this amazing Gem. Disliked The rain on the evening we stayed because we couldn't walk down on the beach in the morning. Next time we won't go in Dec, saying that it is usually a good time to go.
