I am not usually the type of person who writes bad reviews, but today I decided to write this review because I really feel like everyone deserves a good treatment. I scheduled an appointment with the sales representative, Tiffany Bell. I wanted to see if she could helped figure out what type of Tent I needed for my sister's wedding. She asked me about a budget, and I honestly just said $1000 to start, and she immediately said "oh no we don't have anything, sorry bye" and she hanged up.

Little did she knew I was able to increase my budget to $8000. I was really disappointed with her customer service. She needs to treat people with respect. Please Marquee Rental. Do not hire people like her. She will definitely destroy your reputation.

Second wedding at our home with Marquee. Amazing service, addressed a few concerns quickly! Our Sr Sales Rep Tiffany Bell was very knowledgeable and extremely efficient. She represents this company very well! Staff was courteous and respectful of our property. Great job!

Marquee could not have done a better job! Rented a clear 30'X45' tent with flooring, tables, chairs, and linens for our daughter's wedding on Cedar Creek Lake and it was absolutely perfect! Daniel is an over-the-top professional and Valerie made certain that we didn't miss a beat! They were the foundation to an awesome wedding! Thank you SO much!

Oh boy. Where to begin. The Austin location is so disorganized and difficult to communicate with and couldn't keep track of our account. We rented a tent, and split the cost with another couple from the same weekend at our venue. However, when we contacted them they didn't know who we were and were perpetually confused. This wasn't too big of a deal until the day before our wedding, when they were late to set up the tent for the other couple.

I got a phone call from the venue coordinator telling me that the clear tent was "hideous" and that the other couple was upset and wanted it to come down. Marquee insisted that it was moisture that had made the tent opaque (with one clear panel [new] clearly showing the contrast) although all of our other trusted vendors had never heard of this and told us it was simply old and faded. Marquee was very argumentative and defensive, making the whole situation that much more stressful.

We opted to not have the tent, at the urging of our other vendors, and it's been a nightmare dealing with them ever since. We had compared quotes from several companies while planning, and while Marquee was still insanely expensive, it was less expensive than the others. However, the reduced cost was not worth the headache - never mind the fact that we paid for a tent that we never received.

We used Marquee Rentals because they came highly recommended by our Planner and they did not disappoint! They were timely with the deliveries, everything looked perfect! They also thankfully had some misting fans available when we realized how hot it was going to be on our wedding day and were able to add them to our order the day before. They also were one of the few places who carried BBJ linens and offered a HUGE selection of linens. Highly recommend Marquee rentals for your event!

I am an event planner a very large venue in downtown Austin, TX and I work closely with Marquee on a regular basis. I work with Ann Evans and she is remarkable. Her customer service skill is beyond stellar. She is quick to respond and goes out of her way to make sure I'm taken care of. even when I need things last minute. Marquee is a little more expensive than most of the rental companies in town, but it's worth spending a little extra money to get the service you receive.

This review is for the San Antonio location. My husband and I met with Lisa H. in March to pick out tables, chairs, steak knives, and troughs for our June wedding. I finalized and paid for my rentals according to Marquee's contract with no issues; They had no problem taking my money. We felt that the rentals were definitely overpriced, but since Marquee was the only place that had what I wanted, we bit the bullet and proceeded to rent 8 tables, 12 benches, 20 chairs, 3 troughs, and 80 steak knives for $1300!

We opted to pick these items up instead of paying a $400 delivery fee. The tables I received had dried stuck on food and stains on them. The chairs I received were covered in dust and most of them were badly damaged. I received two different sets of steak knives that did not match. I had to spend several hours cleaning these items on the night before my wedding.

Several of my guests commented on the terrible condition of the chairs. I'm dreading seeing them in my photos. I hope I don't end up having to pay my photographer to fix chairs in my pictures. I contacted Lisa after my event and let her know that I was not satisfied with my rentals. She agreed that the items never should have been sent out in that condition, and told me she would speak with her GM.

I never asked for any sort of refund, my message simply stated that I was unhappy. After speaking with her General Manager, she told me there was nothing they could do to make this right for me. After they received my Google review, Lisa contacted me and offered me a $300 credit. I accepted. It took her over a week to process this refund, and I had to email her to remind her. Always check the condition of your rentals and complain immediately. Even if it is 2AM the night before your wedding.

My company uses Marquee Event Rentals in multiple locations, and this one is sub-par compared to their other branches. They made multiple errors to our contract and they were slow to make changes. The most annoying issue was that they did not set up the tent correctly. When the fire marshal came to inspect the tent, they had placed the tent in the FIRE LANE by only a couple of feet (see image).

There was a water barrel right beside the red curb. We gave ample space and provided a diagram for the tent's placement which seem to be ignored. When we asked to have the tent moved to avoid a penalty from the fire marshal, the sale rep told us we would incur additional fees to have the tent crew return to the site---which is ridiculous since we didn't place the tent improperly. Luckily the fire marshal let us slide, but needless to say it was completely avoidable. Overall, I was disappointed with the service because I thought it would be smooth sailing.

Let me start off with saying this. Laura, who helped me plan all my rentals is a doll. Marquee has lots of variety & options. The day before the wedding the first crew came out with the lighting. They were hard workers. Super polite. If something wasn't right they had another item delivered to them (the crew lead didn't like the wall of my cake tent because it wasn't in good shape so that was replaced & there was a couple string where the bulb didn't work so they had them replaced).

They did put all their lights on one of my shop's outlets & melted it though. Buuuuut. The crew that showed up with our rentals were HORRIBLE! They didn't have the ceremony or reception diagrams that I had submitted to tell them the placements. So I got them one from my phone (it's all I had). They began to set up my ceremony chairs incorrectly & when I told them it was wrong they said "Maybe you should move them myself." (Insert my very first brideszilla moment) Move it myself?!?

I paid for them to do this. I had to draw out the aisle so they'd understand while the team lead looked on like this wasn't his job. Luckily, his crew understood & they began shifting the chairs around. I came back to check on the situation later & they had set the reception up wrong. Team lead guy didn't want to move again so I had to drag the tables myself. Again, his crew followed my lead.

I had the wrong cocktail tables (they were ones that didn't need tablecloths so since they were wrong they didn't fit into our theme), I had too many 6' tables, they set my cake tables up on uneven land which resulted in the grooms cake falling to the ground & almost losing my cake (Me & a couple other people caught my cake as it was sliding by grabbing the table) which resulted in a super early cake cutting & rushing.

My bar was set up in the wrong place, too. After telling them to move it I went to get ready & never saw the situation again. It was never moved. They set it next to my chicken coop?!? I was refunded $300-ish dollars. Which was kind of a slap in the face. That $300 was basically the overage of tables & the wrong cocktail tables. However, I'm out: 1. The repair of my electrical socket/outlet in my shop. 2. The cost of our grooms cake that we never got to enjoy.

Marquee was very easy to work with. We went to their show room and picked out our linens. It was exactly what we were looking for. Some of the other rental companies we looked at did not have all the products in a show room. Some of the linens were only available to view in a catalog. I wanted to make sure the shade purple of the linens was accurate, as pictures can be deceiving sometimes.

Leading up the wedding, we had to make an adjustment to the quantities needed. It was incredibly easy to change the quantities with a simple phone call. We chose to pick up the linens and deliver them to the reception location, as we thought the delivery cost was a bit steep for only needing to be delivered a few miles away. We left for our honeymoon and another person was able to drop of the linens with no issues. We highly recommend Marquee.

Using Marquee for a wedding rentals was one of the best decisions we made! They were easy to work with and very customer focused. We were planning the wedding from a few states away so really appreciated the email and phone conversations that helped us make sure we had a beautiful wedding and reception!

I used there San Antonio Branch for a Company events in San Antonio. the items and service were great, but 3 weeks after the event my credit card get s charge of over $270 I request to know why and was told the error would be fixed and my credit card would receive a credit. one month later still no credit or invoice as to why my card was charged. I have disputed the charge with the credit card company. pay in cash if you can, giving them credit card information just opens you up for un warranted charges after everything is said and done. Our company will not be using this company in the future

Marquee Rentals, Amberley Adams - Amberley with Marquee rentals worked meticulously to get us what we needed for our special day. She was always available and very patient with the dozens of changes we made to our order throughout the wedding planning process. The item that we feel completed the look of the reception were the beautiful dark wood vineyard tables. They have a great showroom to choose from and their team, especially Amberley, are very pleasant to work with.

Prepare to lose your entire security deposit if you don't use your tent. Marquee gets my only negative review for my entire wedding process. The company pressures you into booking tents early "because they need to secure labor" and require a 50% deposit. This 50% deposit "holds the tent and the labor" but is non-refundable if the weather is nice and you won't require it. It's a difficult pill to swallow when you pay an $800 deposit in case it rains on your wedding day and not get a single dime in return if the tent isn't used.

Basically $800 down the drain and Marquee pockets the profit. The "labor they secured" isn't paid, so Marquee keeps it all. Sad to see a company take advantage of people planning important outdoor events like this. It basically boils down to a scam. On top of this, their customer service is extremely poor and unprofessional. I had to call back 2 times and remind them to send the final contract and the person sounded very annoyed I was bothering them. If you're thinking of booking a tent for an outdoor event, just take that money and burn it, at least you'd get some entertainment value out of it.

I see some of the less than stellar reviews already on here but I can only review based on my experience with Marquee and it was so easy! I rented wine glasses, a table, and a lectern from them for my wedding and they were one of the few vendors I didn't have to worry about. Always answered my questions, payment was easy, items were as described. A huge relief when planning a stressful wedding!

I would advise anyone needing rentals to steer clear of this place. They originally had my delivery date incorrect. I called and had them correct it. Then, I get a call the day before my wedding, because they delivered on the incorrect date. When I explained the situation to Chelsea, not only was she not helpful (explaining that I need to pay $700 additional dollars to have our items delivered on a Sunday), but she gave me attitude as if it was MY fault.

I paid the additional money, because I felt I had no choice at that time. To top it all off, all of the dishes they delivered were dirty. The catering staff had to wash EVERYTHING prior to being able to use it. Then, they did not pick up the items on time, which was supposedly what $400 of the $700 was for. DO NOT USE THIS COMPANY!

Tracie is and has been such a great help to me when ordering. I have ordered from Marquee several times for personal and also for business use with my catering company. Not only have they accommodated delivery when I have been running behind an unable to make it to their shop, but Tracie has been extremely helpful and patient as I have had to go back and forth on reservation items. She helped keep some of my costs down and was always quick on her responses, which I love! Thank you and keep up the good work!

Do not go here or order from here. I went to Marquee's linen sale this week and was incredibly surprised by their lack of customer service. Not only did they not help me, the lady who was working on my total when I asked for a quote could not have been more unpleasant, rude, and unprofessional. She literally rolled her eyes at me and when I asked questions about their different options, she responded with, "This is the kind of thing you should know before you even get here." It's abundantly clear that because they essentially have a monopoly on the rental industry in Austin (or others just may be more familiar with them), they have a complete disregard for customers, customer service, and plain respect.

Even though it may be a bit difficult, I'm taking my business elsewhere. I'd rather go linen - less to my wedding than work with a company who has a complete disregard for proper human interaction and respect. Not to mention who's prices are ridiculously high. If I could do it over, I would have saved myself the time and effort of going over there. Take your business elsewhere if you can!

Just got off the phone with Marquee and am sort of shocked by the rudeness. Ive rented from them twice in the past for my big parties. The lady was complaining bitterly about how busy they were! I asked if she would add more items to my order and she was annoyed and rushed. When asked if she could deliver on Friday she replied "Absolutely NOT!" Her attitude was that she was doing me a huge favor just by talking to me. Yikes.she seemed less angry when focused on getting my credit card and getting my order prepaid.

At one point she actually said, "Go to the web site and figure things out exactly, then call me back!" (stop wasting my time) I called another rental place on 183 and was treated like gold. All the info was explained and many cool ideas about my party were suggested. AND they rent dance floors! They're not the only game in town! On the positive side, Marquee always has shown up exactly when promised and the workers do a super job assembling the dance floor. Very professional. In addition, one of the other ladies on the phone.the younger one, seems quite normal and pleasant.
