Los Angeles Wedding Photographer - Yair Haim

Yair is an amazingly talented photographer. His photos are timeless and they will be something we will treasure for the rest of our lives. Whenever we spent time with him, we had so much fun and he made us feel very comfortable. Not only are his photographs beautiful, but he is a great person. Everyone was impressed with him the day of our wedding and he worked with all our vendors seamlessly. We are so happy to have hired Yair and have him at our wedding.

Yair Haim did an excellent job on my wedding photography, and I would highly recommend him. Our original wedding in Carpinteria, CA was canceled due to COVID, so we ended up having a smaller wedding in Malibu, CA. Yair was flexible and was able to switch the date and come to the new location without charging us extra. He was extremely easy to work with.

He showed up on time, was pleasant and funny, and had lots of good suggestions about how to arrange the timing of our wedding so that the light would be optimal for photos. His photos were incredible!

My husband (fiance at the time) and I were very excited to work with Yair for our wedding in June of 2020. We enjoyed our introductory phone call getting to know him and learning about his photography style. However, once the pandemic hit, we had to postpone our California wedding. Yair happily agreed to photograph us on our new date. About a month away from the date, we were informed by the venue that due to state restrictions, the wedding could no longer take place.

I started planning ANOTHER wedding and this one would be held in Indianapolis, my hometown. Indiana's venues had less restrictions than those in California. Despite offering to pay for the thousand dollar flights for both Yair and his assistant to be there, they decided it was not in their best interest to travel. We completely understood their hesitation and knew that we would need to find someone local.

After confirming that Yair was not coming, we started having problems. ***He wanted to keep all of the money that we had already paid him. Almost $3000.*** ***My husband and I know that Covid impacted businesses everywhere, but that doesn't mean Yair should keep our hard-earned money for NO SERVICES PROVIDED.*** ***We had a handful of phone calls and e-mail communication throughout the wedding planning process.

There is no reason that he should have kept our money. It was not the right thing to do.*** ***He had a VERY heated phone call with my husband and mentioned how he was in the army almost as a threat. EXTREMELY UNPROFESSIONAL. He mentioned how he couldn't wait "to just be done with us." *** ***He sent us 1 of the 3 payments we had made back to us, but we have yet to see the other 2 totaling to almost $2000.*** TO MY BRIDES: If you are planning a wedding and the pandemic is still present, PLEASE reconsider choosing Yair Haim Photography.

I cannot in good conscious recommend using Yair Haim photography. While his photography skills may be high quality, his true character showed through during the COVID pandemic. He kept money he had not rightfully earned and ATTEMPTED TO INTIMIDATE ME from recovering this money by informing me he is FORMER SPECIAL OPS. He lost his temper in a discussion about a repayment plan and yelled at me for minutes on end while I calmly asked him to try and understand our position.

Our wedding was postponed and then canceled due to govt restrictions, yet Yair refused to fully refund us our rightful payments. He kept the security deposit AND over $1000 for services he did not perform for a wedding we did not cancel (the govt prohibited the venue from hosting). We understand his keeping the security deposit per the terms of the contract, although many other partners had more of a heart and either fully or partially refunded the security deposit. However, not reimbursing the additional payment is inexcusable.

Nearly as inexcusable as his attempts to intimidate paying clients. Do yourself a favor and find another photographer who has the quality of character to match their photography skills.

Not only is Yair an absolutely talented professional, but he is thoughtful, thorough, and really just a cool guy to be around. The latter is extremely important if you're like me and are super awkward in front of a camera. From our first call, I knew we were in good hands. Yair spent well over an hour asking us about our preferences, ceremony details, and more.

He covered topics we hadn't even thought about. When I finally met him in person on the day of the wedding, it felt like I'd known him forever. He didn't hesitate to tell me I had a piece of food stuck in my teeth, which I appreciated! This review is long overdue (our wedding took place pre-quarantine) -- sorry, Yair, but thanks for making the day that much more fun!

Professionally, I own my own wedding coordination company, and I have had the honor of working with Yair many times! For years, Yair has told me that he was going to shoot my wedding (even before I even had a significant other). When I finally got engaged, I didn't hesitate. Yair was my first and only choice:). I knew going into my BIG day that Yair was the best of the best, but my fiance had no idea.

I cannot count the number of times during the day and after that he told me how much he loved Yair and Rhaniel. Then, we got our pictures. AMAZING! I can't even begin to describe how amazing Yair is! He is, without a doubt, the best photographer around. My husband and I chose him to shoot our wedding and engagement photos. He is so professional and so genuine, it's really obvious he truly cares about his clients and what he does. He knows exactly what he's doing, which made us feel so comfortable because not once did we question him.

On the day of the wedding, he had the timeline down perfectly and made sure each shot was perfect. He was so great with our entire bridal party and guests that everyone had the best time taking so many photos. We had the absolute best experience using Yair as our wedding photogorapher. He made the day SO fun and he was so quick, making sure we got every shot we wanted and a zillion more we didnt know we wanted. The photos just came in and they are UNREAL we can't believe it. This review is so incredibly overdue! I still can't get over how amazingly beautiful our wedding photos turned out as well as our engagement photos. Yair was fantastic and has a wonderful attitude and personality that makes you really comfortable. Thanks to him we an relive our wedding every day through our photos. Yair is so much more than just a talented photographer! I started planning my west coast wedding from the east coast which wasn't easy. I spoke to Yair on the phone and he was extremely generous with his time. He confidently explained so much to me about the wedding industry; I learned so much from him in just that first phone call (and ended up taking many recommendations from him for my other vendors).

We set up an in person meeting and he quickly became the very first vendor I selected during my planning process! He was there throughout the planning process (very quick to respond). when I was in a really tough spot choosing a planner, he recommended a planner to me that I ended up loving and choosing! He's assertive yet kind and keeps the mood positive throughout the day/night.

His knowledge and strong sense of direction will allow you to relax on your special day, you will get good shots, you're in the best of hands! Thank you Yair, our pictures are tasteful, timeless and beautiful. so many to choose from!

He's an absolute doll! He was recommended to us by our wedding planner (XOXO Weddings) and I can see why. He was well worth what we spent for the beautiful photos he took. He is incredibly sweet, organized, flexible, and professional. He has an array of awesome cameras and photography equipment to get the best photos he can for you. He included bringing an assistant to our wedding, which we loved, so he could get pictures from multiple angles simultaneously. Plus, this ensured that he always had someone there to provide any sudden equipment changes. Further, this is his business, so he doesn't work for a larger company that he has to please, nor does he have other photographers that work under him that may not provide the same level of quality. For someone who's great to work with and provides amazing photos, my husband and I highly recommend him!

My husband and I are so thrilled that we chose Yair as our engagement and wedding photographer! Yair was absolutely amazing and we love our photos. My husband and I have never taken professional photos before, and are not particularly good in front of the camera. Yair walked us through everything and made us feel so comfortable. I was glad that we decided to do an engagement shoot with Yair because it helped for us to know what to expect on the wedding day. Yair made our wedding day less stressful because he knows exactly what to do and has no problem herding and directing everyone!

Our photos came out spectacular and better than I can could have imagined. They're romantic and I feel like they capture us perfectly. Yair is also very knowledgeable about everything wedding-related, and gave us great advice about our wedding day that went beyond photography. Simply put, Yair is an incredible photographer and he exceeded our expectations in every possible way. My husband and I have never posed professionally and I, in particular, am incredibly uncomfortable in front of cameras. However, after our engagement photo session with Yair, we knew we were in good hands. His direction and kind demeanor helped us to relax and enjoy ourselves.

In turn, our engagement photos turned out to be FANTASTIC. So many people told us that they looked like they could be for a magazine spread! He also went above and beyond on our wedding day, which consisted of 4 different locations and a huge wedding party. He rounded us up and systematically got all the important shots of everyone at the various locations.

He was like a sweet Israeli sheepdog herding us around to get the best shots! Everyone loved working with him and we were all grateful to him for guiding us through the day and getting great shots! My husband and I are thrilled with our beautiful photos. THANKS YAIR!

I can not say enough amazing things about Yair. From the start, he was on track. I don't live in the area so we had a few phone calls during the planning process to figure out details and timeline. He was extremely responsive and very organized. On the day of the wedding he showed up on time and got straight to work. He was fast, so efficient and above everything he was was meticulous with detail.

His creative vision truly shows in his work. I haven't seen all of the final pictures yet far but from what I have seen so far I am just blown away. I even asked him to be sensitive about my husband's military uniform so Yair photoshopped certain things off of his uniform so that we could share some pictures on social media. He captured the feel of the day so well that when I'm looking back at these pictures it's like I'm reliving it. He is worth every penny and I would recommend him to anyone.

I would give more than 5 stars if I could! As another reviewer wrote, you can stop looking for a wedding photographer now that you've found Yair, because he is simply the best. He was professional, efficient, timely, and always puts you first as the bride & groom. From the minute Yair arrived, things went smoothly. He anticipated the optimal timing for photographing every part of our wedding, and masterfully did this in the background without ever seeming intrusive or in-the-way.

He made every effort to photograph our wedding just as we had hoped, and the final photos we received were exactly what we wanted! Yair made sure my makeup was perfect, that we got photos with all of our special guests, he even coordinated our dream photographs on the beach before our ceremony! He communicated effortlessly with all the other vendors at our wedding, including our coordinator and DJ.

I think it's also important to emphasize that with Yair, you're not just getting a wedding photographer - you're getting a wedding PRO. He doesn't just stand there and take photos. No no. He knows exactly how weddings work -- the timing of events, how to make you feel comfortable and look natural, and he anticipates and prevents any problems from happening.

His ability really impressed me and my family. I would also like to thank his assistant Bianca, who did a FABULOUS job with not only snapping some lovely photographs from different angles, but also she was enormously helpful with any last minute back-up things that needed to happen (coordinating the walk-out, getting us a drink, checking on the DJ and schedule, etc.).

We found Yair on The Knot. Initially he caught my eye because he had the same last name as me (and we are not related!) and he had great reviews. He was flexible and easy to work with during the planning stages. We actually first met Yair when he and Ray showed up on the big day. And we were very impressed! From first to last he knew exactly how he wanted to shoot us.

He understood the pressures and demands of our day and worked within our constraints. The pictures came out absolutely perfect. He was very adept at dealing with outside pressures and working with our other vendors (Videographer and Coordinator) to make sure everything was captured just the way we wanted. Yair was timely, accommodating, attentive and incredibly professional. We would recommend him to any couple without any hesitation. I knew right away, from seeing Yair's photo's, that I loved his style. Yair has a natural gift for photographing the perfect picture. During our engagement & wedding photos, Yair knew how to position us, make us feel comfortable and capture the perfect shot. He made us, the couple that's not so naturally "lovey dovey" with each other in public, feel very comfortable and captured amazing photos. Yair is unbelievable! His talent is astounding! My fiance and I are in awe of his skill and photos. We are so lucky and blessed to have found him for our wedding and our recent engagement photo shoot. I cannot even fathom how any other photographer can compare. Yair is the BEST! My husband and I absolutely loved working with him, and most importantly, we love our photos! He was so professional and such did such a hussle the day of to make sure he got all the shots we wanted. He has such a beautiful eye. My husband loved his work because his style is so timeless and classic. Even though we are both millennials with hipster tendencies (haha), we weren't interested in the more trendier, artsy style you see out there these days.

We wanted those timeless shots that captured us and the beauty of the day - and it's exactly what we got. We also got so many compliments from our family and our wedding party about how professional he was and how impressed they were with the way he was able to direct everyone in a fun way that made for great shots. A wonderful person and a talented photographer!

Yair was amazing. It was almost like having another wedding planner, he got his shots on time and encouraged us to have fun with our wedding. He got along with all of the bridal party and captured us all horsing around after the ceremony. We will be recommending his services to anyone who wants an amazing photographer to catch their special day.

What a nice guy! We were vacationing in Los Angeles and decided to some couples photos as well as maternity photos with Yair. The whole communication process with Yair beforehand via email/phone was very smooth and fast, because Yair understood exactly the type of look and setting I was looking for, and he suggested interesting locations to accommodate my artistic needs!

His prices are very reasonable for the time spent on our shoot, his focus was not on the time-spent and the little tiny details but was focused on the happy couples experience and tried to capture that in still motion. Most importantly, he really made both of us, especially my husband who's never been photographed like this before, feel SUPER comfortable and at ease, and just happy = The whole day was like hanging out with an old friend, and we finished the day feeling fully satisfied with the photos taken and our general mood.

As for the end results, Yair gave us sample photos and high resolution photos very fast and within the promised time of anticipated wait! We were very ecstatic with the shots, the colors, and the style of the shoot. He also offered to edit them more carefully if we choose to blow certain ones up into canvas. Lastly, I really like his energy during the shoot, and shooting us while jumping on top of rocks, peering through rocks and branches and leaves. this type of creative energy really gave some of my favorite shots of the day. Yair is a very creative photographer, because he wasn't afraid to work with a new environment and its random natural props. Combined with his good technical knowledge of working the sunlight and the lighting in general, we are 100% happy we chose Yair to work with us on our special vacation day!

If you're looking for a photographer who takes amazing pictures and will do everything he can to make your day perfect, it's worth talking to Yair. Meeting Yair was like catching up with an old friend. He made us feel very comfortable and his pictures look like they came from magazines. My husband and I are not exactly experienced in front of a camera, but Yair was able to explain which angles and poses are the most flattering.

He is obviously enthusiastic about his work, and his excitement is catching. He is also understanding-he listened when I said I didn't like a certain pose and didn't dismiss my ideas. Talk to Yair if you're looking for a photographer who is talented, kind, creative, and friendly!

We just used Yair for our March 2013 wedding and we loved him! From our first meeting with him he was very warm and friendly and made you feel at ease. At our engagement shoot my husband and I were a little uncomfortable at first being in front of the lens, but Yair helped put us at ease and we ended up having a great time! Yair also gave us some tips and tricks throughout the session on how to pose and stand that really helped our pictures turn out great!

At our wedding he was great again! We needed someone that could organize everyone into place to take pictures.etc, and he did just that! He also suggested certain props to bring with us to the wedding which we used and the pictures came out beautifully! There isn't much more that I can add to all the wonderful reviews he has here, so you just have to call him and try him for yourself;-.
