Services
La Contenta Golf Club is a Semi-Private 18 hole golf course located in Valley Springs, California. Set in the rolling foothills thirty-five miles east from the City of Stockton, La Contenta Golf Club challenges you with out-of-bounds stakes lining fourteen holes and water hazards coming into play on nine holes.
This par three is harder than it looks. Downhill, with a large green, and surrounding bunkers make par a great score on this hole. Short uphill par four that can yield many birdies with a good drive in the fairway. Uphill second shot to a green that you can't see makes getting it close to the hole difficult.
Josh Criswell is originally from Angels Camp and attended Bret Harte High School. After graduating he began his golf career at The Golf Club at Copper Valley (formally Saddle Creek) and worked his way up to the Assistant Golf Professional. After 8.5 years there, he worked at Greenhorn Creek and now is back at La Contenta.

Perfect golf weather and the pace of the play. We finished the round in less than 3 hours and 25 minutes for the first time at this course. Fairways were a lot cleaner than during the summer thanks to good maintenance work by the crew. Bunkers were filled with ample sand. This golf course made a very quick and big from the terrible shape from only 4 years ago when the former management neglected and abused the field.
Thanks for the great change they made. There are still some areas where more work is needed, like the lakes/water hazards, cart paths, restrooms and the parking. We will list this golf course as one of our favorites. Thanks.

This place has delicious food. We ordered the Bacon cheeseburger with onion rings and a Club sandwich with fries. I would recommend this place. Very clean inside. Friendly service in person and on the phone. We ordered take out but you can eat indoors as well. If you like to golf you're right there.
