The mission of the historic Kenwood Community Club is to promote community in the general Kenwood area and to preserve the unique and historic Kenwood Depot. Through sponsorship of community-based events at our historic and iconic train depot location ~ affectionately referred to as "The Depot" ~ the Kenwood Community Club pursues the general goal of enriching and enhancing life in the Kenwood area, promoting community camaraderie while at the same time preserving our unique and historic asset.

As a nonprofit organization, we rely exclusively on financial donations and the generosity of area residents, at a variety of membership levels, designed to allow some degree of financial participation from all.

Constructed in 1887, the stone depot at South Los Guilicos (from the original Spanish Land Grant) was ready and waiting when the first trains began arriving in 1888. It was a small but impressive structure, built in Richardsonian Romanesque architecture of locally quarried basalt stone and one of only two stone depots of that era in the state.
The obvious question is, "If you live in or around Kenwood, why wouldn't you?" Many people who don't live in Kenwood join the Kenwood Community Club just to support our historical Depot.
The Depot is available to rent for meetings, classes, dinners and parties for up to 60 people indoors, 150 indoors and outdoors. Note: The Depot is located in a quiet neighborhood and is not suitable for events with loud music either from live bands or DJs. If this is a requirement for your event then another venue would be a better choice.

Had so much fun with a small group of teenagers who enjoyed good food, cornhole and dancing on a beautiful winter's evening!

A very historic place in Kenwood. Very warm, and inviting. Wonderful place to have a event. Nestled in the beautiful Kenwood wine country. Very private. Highly recommended!

Still love this place. Quiet beautiful scenery. Nobody ever bothers us. We just eat in the truck or on the side of the depo. Its like the ocean. But no cold. No ocean. Not too fare to drive

I loved this little venue! There aren't nearly enough photos of this place online. This was a gem of a find. It is a converted train depot. There are gorgeous hardwood floors and a huge fireplace that you can light. They have the original ticket window which serves as a bar. I was in love with the idea of having a cocktail hour outside under the entrance way and with tents with guests coming up to the ticket counter to get a drink.

They have a great outdoor bbq if you are doing a more casual event. There is even a "backyard" area that you can use. It needs some fixing up, but for someone creative, its perfect. We ended up having our wedding elsewhere but I will definitely be coming back to do a party here sometime.

The Kenwood Depot is a charming wedding venue located in beautiful Kenwood, California. It was once a train depot that has been converted into a venue just perfect for a wedding/reception. We had a little over 70 people at our wedding at the Kenwood Depot and held both the ceremony and the reception there. As we got married in March during a rainy weekend, our wedding was held indoors, but we did order a tent to be erected outside so our guests could mingle outside after the ceremony and have drinks and appetizers while we set up the tables for the reception. Debbie, the Depot Manager, was awesome to work with.

With venue prices outrageous in Wine Country, it was a blessing to find the Kenwood Depot, which not only was more affordable to rent, but also provided tables and chairs as part of the package. I would recommend the Kenwood Depot to anyone looking for a venue which will hold around 70-73 people, seated at tables, inside.
