We hired Hire-a-Host to bartend our wedding and they were exceptional! They made the planning process incredibly easy and stress-free and the event went off without a hitch! The bartenders went above and beyond and even walked around passing out bottles of water to people on the dance floor! Can't recommend their services highly enough!

Hire a Host catered and hosted a post wedding brunch at our home and we are so very happy we hired them. The planning went so well (even with all the last minute changes!) and the staff who worked at our home the day of the event were professional and tireless. They truly allowed us to enjoy our party, especially after a weekend of wedding related activities. This is the 2nd time we have used their services and we won't hesitate to enlist Hire A Host again!

Thank you Hire A Host for an amazing wedding experience. We hired them to set up, maintain and clean up our wedding buffet and they did an amazing job. They even picked up our food from the restaurant, which was a huge help. Communication was great from both Mara and Gail. The staff showed up with smiles on their faces and did a great job of having everything run smoothly. They were right there to clear out any dishes or assist in any way. Would happily work with them again.

I recently worked with Hire a Host on a client's wedding day and truly enjoyed my experience! As a wedding planner, I work with several different vendors on a wedding day and have come across numerous catering companies that provide similar services and I have to say that Hire a Host exceeded expectations. While our client used multiple catering companies for their wedding day, Hire a Host was the main catering contact executing service for the day and they did such an amazing job.

All of their staff was professional and genuinely seemed to enjoy the work that they were doing. When it came time to finalize the room for guest arrival, they even helped me light candles. Katie was wonderful to communicate with on the day and leading up to the day and Julie & Jeremy were awesome to close down the event with as well. We are event planners based in California and were planning a destination micro weddings for our clients at a private estate on pretty short notice. We knew we needed a great staffing company to help the event run smoothly and we are so happy we found Hire a Host! Right from the beginning, Gail was so helpful and organized. She made sure she understood our exact needs, the timing of the wedding and that we were staffed accordingly.

We could not have asked for a better staff! They were right on time, so kind and professional. They made sure that every guest was served right on time and cleaned the entire event and kitchen space at the end of the event! We would give them 10 stars if we could. Hire a Host provided some rentals for my wedding as well as serving staff and a catering "supervisor" since I wasn't using a traditional caterer. The staff was amazing. They were so quick and everything went so smoothly. I mean this in a great way - I didn't even know they were there. They do everything so quick and smooth that you don't even notice them, you just know that everything is going the way it should be!

I couldn't be happier with them from a staffing perspective and would highly recommend them. The coordinator I worked with at Hire a Host was Gail who was lovely -- very knowledgeable and super flexible and willing to work with my wedding planner directly.

We have used Hire a Host to help us at a large family Christmas gathering for about the past ten years. The relief we have experienced as compared to when we used to do everything ourselves was tremendous. Emily, our regular host, is now considered a part of the family and when she couldn't be there last year, everyone asked about her. She and other hosts we've used over the years fit in seamlessly, tending ovens, taking coats, serving wine, cleaning up, and truly have allowed us to attend our own party and catch up with family members. It's a great investment in yourself during the holidays or other important events!

Hire a Host are simply fantastic. I worked with Hire a Host for my wedding (October 2018), and Katie was my event planner. She is an excellent listener, hearing my vision and grounding me in how we would bring it to life with thoughtful and clear suggestions. The day of the wedding Katie and the Hire a Host team were flawless - I never worried about how the venue was setup or the flow of the night because they just did it. Hire A Host helped us to give our daughter the wedding of her dreams! We used them for our son's wedding too! Katie is amazing! She is creative, patient, professional, friendly and so knowledgeable about all things related to creating a perfect event! Katie and her amazing team at Hire a Host helped create a magical wedding for our daughter! The customer service is incredible! Katie was always there for me answering emails and phone calls for months! She created a beautiful dessert table for us (I actually cried with joy when I saw it) and ordered all the fantastic food and beverages because she knows so many vendors I didn't have do a thing!

The bartenders and servers and support staff were so efficient and friendly and fun! Someone from H a H was there from start to finish making sure our wedding reception was perfection and it was! We have already referred Hire a Host to our friends and we recommend you call Katie and her team right now if you are planning a special event!

We've had a butler/server staff person from Hire-a-Host at our largest annual party for many years. They've always sent someone wonderful. This year, our host took the cake! She was amazing! She graciously offered drinks, refilled glasses, picked up glasses and plates, refilled serving dishes with food, beautifully set out and served the catered part of the meal, and even washed glasses and dishes as the evening went on so our cleanup the next day was minimal! We highly recommend Hire-a-Host.

I had one person come out to help serve a small dinner party. They served drinks, served dinner, and did a major clean up job while myself and guests chatted. I can't believe how easy it made my night. For a large-ish cocktail party there were two servers. In the beginning one was mainly a bar tender and the other served drinks and hor d'oeuvres then both worked the room. Again, I was able to enjoy my own party. Hire A Host makes having any type of gathering as stress free as possible. They are on my repeat list when I need help entertaining.

It wasn't a good start, first off it took weeks for the worker to get back to us after we contacted them. She then kept pushing for us to have 3 helpers to come out for the wedding. We really only need two because our wedding is on the smallish side but we gave in to having three because the person we were working with kept insisted we needed to have three.

We finally started the process and had a contract in the works when a fee was added that we weren't informed of at the time of discussing the contract. Because we weren't informed of this service fee my fiance updated the working contract & sent in a deposit. Hire a host accepted and cashed our deposit (after we sent the updated contract).

They did not have to accept the contract or cash the deposit but they did anyway. Three whole weeks later we get an email stating that the fee is "standard" with absolutely no other explanation as to what it was standard for. We questioned the contract & told them fine, we will pay the 500 dollar fee but 3 workers are just too many people for our wedding.

Later we get an email stating they will no longer work with us. We then ask if we can speak with the owner because we don't want to cancel the contract, we still would like help and all the things we were planning on renting from them and we are willing to pay it, it's just we have questions and frankly customers asking questions shouldn't be an issue.

The owner called my fiance and was quite rude & said it was our fault that they will not work with us. When my fiance pointed out the huge amount of time we lost (because their worker took almost 3 months to draft a contract & then almost a month to tell us they weren't working with us after they cashed our deposit) and that it might be difficult to find another company because they might all be booked the owner stated "What? you have a year!" 1) no we don't, our wedding is in almost 8 months. 2) people start planning weddings long before this.

We are both very upset. This isn't about money for us, it's about the fact that we question something & was basically scolded. It's also about the time wasted. It's going to be very difficult to find someone in such a short time. They could of straight up told us a month ago they didn't want to work with us & return our deposit but they didn't.

I was hosting a party for my Husband's 60th Birthday and thought I'd be able to manage the event on my own. I had hired a caterer and there were 25 guests coming to our home. Two days before the event, a friend of mine was raving about having used Hire a Host for all of her events. She shared the contact with me and I called with only three days notice to see if they could help me at my party.

They were amazing! Scheduled me in right away and then sent the most wonderful person to help me. I will use them again in a heartbeat. I was able to enjoy my Husband's celebration and my host took care of all of the grunt work. Reasonably priced and amazing. Yay for Hire a Host. I'm so glad I found you!

My daughter and her husband hired you to help with a backyard wedding reception last night. Jennifer and Noell did a fantastic job! They kept everything flowing, were friendly and good sports about a tiny work space and left only after all food was packed up and into the fridge and dishes were done. They made it easy for us to enjoy visiting with the guests instead of worrying about the food.

Well, using Hire a Host was a godsend for me! Tammy was marvelous! She just knew what to do and when to do it in the kitchen. She helped us this past Sunday (8/21/2016) for a post wedding BBQ. She was calm, had great judgement, and was very polite and pleasant to have in our home. About one hour prior to the picnic dinner, my husband was bit by a dog when he was out running.

He arrived home with blood running down his leg. Needless to say this was unexpected. Tammy took over in the kitchen and I was able to help him clean the wounds, etc. I was also exhausted from the wedding and having her to help serve and clean up was one of the best decisions I made surrounding the wedding festivities. I will DEFINITELY book Hire a Host again and will recommend your business to my friends!

What a FANTASTIC host we had in Emily! I give her a 10! This was the first time I've used your services, and she blew us away! Everyone at the party was talking about how awesome she was! I will definately use her/you again! She was charming, helpful, constantly "doing things".when she wasn't helping with prep stuff, she was refilling (and remembering what people were drinking!) drinks, doing up dishes, wiping things down, ANYTHING that I looked around and noticed "needed to be done".she was one step ahead and also noticing and taking care of! LOVED YOUR SERVICES.if she's anything like the rest of your staff.color me impressed! Will definitely use your services again for my next home party!
