Heritage Garment Preservation Amazing job on my dress, perfectly preserved and so nice to work with. They sent me emails to update me on everything that was going on with my dress as it went through the step-by-step to be prepared, planned for, cleaned, preserved, and then shipped. They are the best of the best. I would recommend 100% if you want to keep your dress after the wedding!

My daughter bought a beautiful Lazaro wedding gown (3201) for her wedding that had much lace and beading. She is selling it, so we wanted to clean it, but wanted to make sure that the cleaner used the utmost care to preserve the lace and beading.

I purchased my wedding dress on stillwhite, a second hand retailer. When the dress arrived it had minor yellowing around the skirt, some mud where the skirt it hit the ground, and a snag of lace here and there. I was a bit distraught as I was not informed of any stains on the gown. I sent it to Heritage hoping they could restore the dress to its original condition.

When the dress was returned to me, it was immaculate! I mean every single stain was totally lifted. So yeah, I would absolutely recommend using this service, I could not be more satisfied.

I just got my dress back and Heritage Garment Preservation did an absolutely amazing job! They had great communication from the beginning, were really nice, answered all of my questions, helped me select the best packaged for my dress that included cleaning and preservation (the Heritage Couture), and caught some things I had missed on my dress during their intake assessment. 10/10 would recommend.

For reference, I sent my Enaura dress (that included and illusion neckline and a ton of beading) to them 4-ish months after my wedding. It had had rips to the sleeves (fixed), a dirty hemline (cleaned) and the bustle had been broken (also fixed). The bag that it came in was also very high quality.

I couldn't be happier with Heritage Garment Preservation! I left it to the last minute and was scrambling to find some way to preserve/clean my wedding dress after my wedding. Three days after my wedding, I moved 4500 miles across the globe and didn't have any way to take it with me on the plane - so when I say I was scrambling, I really mean it! I did some google searching and I am SO GLAD that I found HGP.

Not only did they do an INCREDIBLE job, but they were SO great with communicating and keeping me updated. I was worried about cost because the bottom of my dress also got significantly dirty on my wedding day, but HGP was very, very reasonable. I give them 14 stars out of ten!

Overall a great experience with Heritage Garment Preservation. All the ladies are knowledgeable, helpful, and professional. I ended up getting two wedding dresses and a veil persevered from across the country with out any problems. My sister in-law referred the company to me and has also used them for her gown and veil. Highly recommend their honestly and services.

I highly recommend Heritage Garment Preservation! I planned to send my vintage wedding dress to a dry cleaner in New York with whom my seamstress had a long-standing relationship. Unfortunately, they closed in late March because of COVID-19. I contacted Heritage Garment Preservation in a panic and spoke to Suzanne who kindly explained HGP's cleaning process (they inspect your gown upon arrival, write up a unique treatment plan for your dress, use products that are environmentally friendly and communicate with you throughout the entire process of your gown care).

She was so friendly and patient. Soon after, my dress was off to Texas. This was a giant leap of faith because I live on the East Coast. Sending my wedding dress to Texas seemed crazy at the time but it was the very best decision! Once it arrived, Amanda, one of their cleaning specialist, expressed several serious concerns about my dress but assured me that they would do everything they could to restore it to its original beauty.

In a little less than two weeks, my dress was returned to me and it is so beautiful! I cried tears of joy as I was unpacking it. I'm so thankful to the HGP team for the outstanding work they did restoring my dress.

Prior to receiving my gown, communication was excellent. However, none of that necessarily mattered when I received my gown and it was not preserved in the way I had ordered. They offer two preservation styles, and I received a box with my gown in it rather than the hanging method I had requested. As I still wish to hang my dress (as they make a big deal on the website of differentiating the two styles and describing their process).

I have since tried emailing the company three times, and called and left voicemails to request a call back, and I have heard nothing back from Heritage Garment Preservation. Very disappointed in their lack of follow up here.

A big thank you to the folks at Heritage Garment Preservation. I sent my daughter's wedding dress and the veil she had borrowed to wear at her wedding to be cleaned. I needed the veil back so a friend could use it. The Heritage folks went out of their way to get that done and get it back in time for my friend to use it. Easy to communicate and quick to respond. Thanks.

I did tons of research on gown preservation companies for my Kenneth Winston wedding gown, and I am so happy I entrusted my gown to Heritage! I just received my dress back, and it is just as beautiful as the day I bought it! I opted for the Essential package - hanging method (so I can sneak peaks at the dress in the closet!) Heritage did a fantastic job getting the makeup off of my beaded bodice, cleaning the dirty hemlines, and even fixing a few holes in my tulle skirt!

The customer service team is also very easy to work with - and very accessible! I had a few questions prior to placing my order, and all of the service representatives I talked to were happy to help and extremely knowledgeable about the process. I will say that the price was a bit more than I was hoping to pay, but "you get what you pay for" and Heritage was above and beyond and did an amazing job. If you are looking for gown cleaning and preservation don't think twice just use Heritage!

My mother saved the christening gown used for all four of her children, earliest being 1948, last christening 1953. The yellowing was very heavy and dark on the bonnet, slip, gown and a coat that had a very fragile, transparent outer layer of material with a complex design pattern of small flowers and stems. I was able to get most of the yellow out of the bonnet, the slip and gown by soaking in Oxy Clean. However, it was impossible to get the yellowing out of the coat, the fragile outer layer shredded.

I found Heritage Garment Preservation online. All I can say is thank goodness they exist. They certainly came to my rescue. I explained the situation and the damage I had done and asked if they could help. After receiving the gown they said they could get most or all of the remaining yellow out of all 4 items (they got it all out), and their seamstress could replace the coat's sheer outer layer with a similar or identical material.

She would also replicate the small flowers and stems on the outer sheath, and repair a few areas where the lace had separated on the gown. To say I was very impressed with the seamstress' skills is an understatement -- the entire outfit was beautiful, placed in a preservation box with instructions for future care. You could not tell the outer layer had been replaced.

The flower and stem design were perfect. Only those very familiar with the original outer sheath would be able to tell, and only with a very close examination, that the flowers were so very slightly larger, and that a cotton rather than a contrasting silk thread had been used for the stems. Heritage cleaning, repair and preservation of all items was outstanding.

The price was outstanding as well for the amount of work and attention to intricate details made in this repair. I will most definitely keep Heritage in mind if I ever need gown restoration, preservation, and especially if I ever need detailed and intricate sewing in the future. Amazing job, I very highly recommend.

When I was planning to get married my mom wanted to show my fiance the veil she wore when my parents got married 42 years ago. It was then my mom found out that the veil had been stored in a shopping bag for 13 years by the person who borrowed it and when my mom saw the condition of the veil she was visibly distraught. The tulle had tears in it, the was discolored, and the head piece had been damaged.

I contacted Heritage Garment Preservation and they guided me their process and made recommendations based on my needs. They also provided updates and recommendations based on the condition of the veil and helped me determine the best course of action. This was incredibly helpful because I had no idea where to start or what was required to restore the veil.

When I received the veil back it was presented very nicely in an archival storage box along with care instructions and it looked amazing. My mom was beyond thrilled to see it restored and placed in storage box that will prevent it from being damaged again. Thank you so much!

I sent my 80 year old wedding dress from NYC to this company in CA. I needed for them to clean, replace buttons and fix any antique pearl fixtures on the waist line. This required a company that specialized in antique satin - also this dress had some stains on it. It came back to me in such perfect condition that I was left in awe of this dress. I highly recommend this company especially to those wanting to bring back antique dresses to life for any special event.

To all the beautiful new brides or brides to be. Heritage Garment is a detail oriented, thorough and professional company who will provide you with excellent service in a timely manner. They preserved my wedding dress 5 years ago and it still looks amazing! These ladies will also go above and beyond to make sure you are happy with their work. Your dress will be a well preserved memory for a very long time. I would recommend them to everyone in need of garment preservation. Thank you for your excellent work Kathy and Carmina!

A friend recommended I use Heritage Garment Preservation to have my wedding dress cleaned/preserved. When I first spoke with Heritage Garment Preservation I was told that my dress would be safe. They told me that I would ship my dress to them in CA, they would sign for it and do their work, and then they would ship it back to me in Massachusetts, at which point I would have to sign for it.

That turned out not be true. I returned home to find my wedding dress sitting outside my apartment building, essentially in the parking lot. No signature required, not even left in my building. I was very upset, but lucky that i had gotten home early and it wasn't raining. When i contacted the company to tell them what had happened they told me to take it up with FedEx. Really?

I paid them close to $1000.00 for their services but they didn't care at all about what happened when my dress was sent back to me. They choose to work with FedEx but had no interest in speaking with them about leaving wedding dresses outside without a signature. Definitely not impressed with this company. Update: After my initial correspondence with the company about my dress being left outside, a second employee, Carmina, contacted me and appeared to take the matter seriously. She had done some research on what happened with Fedex and she was taking the time to speak with Fedex about what happened. I adjusted my rating based on this.

I have a collectable teddy bear with an ivory silk, heavily beaded dress that was stained. I just received her back from Heritage and she looks magnificent! I'm so pleased with the results it was worth every penny I spent to have her back in top condition.

Heritage Gown Preservation had outstanding customer service. The owner, Ginny, was so helpful in explaining what services would work best for my gown. I really felt confident in handing over my gown to their services. They communicated with me every step of the way. Carmina in Customer Service was so responsive with quick answers to every question. My gown turned out perfectly and is now a treasured family piece.

If you love your gown, this is the only way to treat it. They will care for your gown as if it was the Mona Lisa - seriously. They even send you home with museum-style gloves. My dress was a long ballgown style which dragged in the grass and dirt at our vineyard wedding, and not a trace remains. It might even look better than it did the day of the wedding. They have a great website where you can check on the status of your gown, and truly are in it for the love of what they do. Highly recommended.

I took my vintage, lace wedding gown to Heritage Garment Preservation to be cleaned and restored for the future. In a matter of minutes after filling out an initial inquiry form online, I received a call. Throughout the whole process, Heritage Garment was very responsive and they were even willing to meet me on a weekend day so that I could drop my dress off with them.

They are quite knowledgable and I had no concerns trusting them with my vintage dress. All my questions were answered and I was kept up to date on the status of my dress throughout the restoration process. My dress came back in wonderful condition and I'm so happy to be able to pass it on to a family member in the future. I would highly recommend trusting Heritage Garment with your dress!

I had two daughters married in two years, and Heritage has taken care of both of their dresses. The first dress has been cleaned meticulously and came back in a beautiful cloth garment bag, complete with an embroidered tag and gloves for handling the dress if necessary. The second dress is being preserved currently and I have no doubt it will arrive in the same perfect condition! Also, Kathy rescued us from a dress emergency. It was not fitting properly and she remade the bodice in just a couple of days. Amazing talent, skill, and beautiful results. We went from tears to smiles. Highly recommend!

Heritage did an absolutely fabulous job preserving my Marine Corps Dress Blues. For $199 they cleaned and preserved my blouse, jacket, pants, skirt, and cover (that is hat for you non military folks). There were some makeup stains on some of the garments (cover and blouse) and some mold that had gotten on the front of the jacket while hanging in my closet for too long. All stains were removed and the uniform looks better than new.

Heritage did an amazing job on my wedding dress - fixing a hem tear and cleaning the dress in general. I love that they offer the option to get your dress sent back in a nice hanging garment bag, rather than stuffed in that cardboard box with the thin plastic window. I liked the idea that any time I wanted to, I could just open the garment bag up and see my entire gown. Out of all the wedding dress preservation companies that I researched, Heritage offered the best options.

HGP did an amazing job on my dress! I didn't know for sure if I wanted to preserve my gown and I am SO glad that I did! My dress looks just as good it did on my wedding day and I hope my future daughter is interested in wearing it. I got the Museum Method and I love it! If you have a closet with a little extra space I think this method is perfect.

I can show my friends my gown or just take a peek when I am feeling nostalgic : I thought the price seemed a little high at first, but when once I shopped around I realized it wasn't and now that I have it back, I know it was well worth it!

I searched high and low for a reputable place to preserve my wedding dress which was hand made with lace from my mothers wedding dress. I came across Heritage and they cleaned my dress for a second party we were having after our destination wedding, then I took it back for another cleaning and preservation. I would highly recommend these guys, they are professional, they did a great job and they liked my dress so much they wrote a blog about it. Don't take your dress to just anywhere, it is worth the cost - take it to Heritage!

Highly recommend: They did an incredible job with my gown, veil, corset, and garter! I was a pale bride who decided to have a first-time spray tan 3 days before my wedding. It was also an outdoor wedding, so needless to say -- sweat, spray tan, dirt and a downpour during our exit turned my lace ivory gown and garments into what I thought was too large of a task.

They did an incredible job, and I was even impressed to see my corset was like new (To be honest, I haven't taken my gown all the way out of the museum method bag for fear of ruining their folding handiwork, even though they did provide white cotton gloves to do so). My gown came in a specially-designed box that allowed it to hang in the box during transport.

I loved the personalized label on the bag, as well as the care they put to a protective barrier of specialty paper between the Swarovski crystals on my belt and veil away from the delicate lace.

I am the type of person who reads review after review to find the perfect place/product. I highly recommend this place. I arrived there with my wedding dress and was greeted warmly. They explained the process in great detail. I sat down with a consultant and they wrote down all of my information. When I left, I remembered that I had I forgotten to mention that I had taken a survey which would have given me 20.00 off.

I emailed them and they said it would be no problem. Throughout the process I received emails letting me know what stage my dress was in. When I picked up my dress, they remembered about the 20.00 and I got 20.00 off. They explained how to handle my dress if I ever want to take it out. They provided gloves to handle the dress. They not only preserve wedding dresses but other garments as well.

Highly recommend them! Every bride is nervous about preserving their dress. mine was no exception, exquisite silk and antique french lace. My designer in LA actually found them (I live in San Fransisco) after researching places for me up here and said they were definitely the ones to use. No regrets, they did a perfect job, found and cleaned the spilled champagne and fixed a rip in the lace that was undetectable to my eye! Excellent service, nice people.

Heritage Garment Preservation saved my wedding day! They are a garment preservation company, but I ended up purchasing a wedding dress off the rack and found out from the dry cleaner I took it to for cleaning and alterations, after I paid them and got the dress home, that the dress could not be dry cleaned. (I also had to redo the alterations they performed, but that is for another review.) I called Heritage Garment Preservation, in tears, and explained my situation - I live one town away from them - and they took my dress in, washed it and removed all of the spots BY HAND - I was so grateful and the dress was PERFECT!

Totally worth the money, plus they gave me a coupon for preservation which I haven't quite gotten around to yet, but I will definitely bring it back. Absolutely wonderful, professional, caring people who know what they are doing.

Heritage Garment Preservation did a beautiful job cleaning and preparing my wedding gown for long term storage. I was nervous shipping my wedding gown across the country to be cleaned, but I can confidently recommend this company as professional and trustworthy. The communication here is good. I called the shop before I sent it to ask a few questions and then sent an e-mail asking the status since it had been 8 weeks.

I was met with prompt and friendly responses. The service is by no means speedy. It took nearly four months from the time I shipped to the time it arrived safely back at my doorstep. They did, however, let me know when they started work on my gown and when they shipped it back to me via e-mail. I chose to have my gown preserved by the "museum method" which keeps your gown safely away from plastics and acid.

It hangs in a closet just like the rest of your clothes. They will personalize the cotton garment bag for you and they provide cotton gloves with which you can touch your gown. It's important to keep body oil off the cleaned garment, but this type of preservation allows you to see your gown anytime and to periodically inspect it. Their website is quite helpful. http://www.heritagegown.com/ I did a lot of research and Heritage was the company that stands out from the rest. They know they are dealing with the most important item of clothing in a woman's life and they treated me and my gown with respect.
