Rude owner. Overpriced garbage on the walls. The response from the owner only reaffirms the rudeness I experienced. The East Village deserves better than an overpriced junk shop.

Rude owners. Poor selection. Overpriced. Why is this place still here? Time for change

Nice art gallery, however, bad return policy. I was unable to return a necklace, l bought. I was under impression that is 30 days but it is only 7 days from the date of purchase. I am disappointed, because l really liked the place and was looking for future business but not in that case. I asked for exchange of the product and was denied.

Bought a beautiful necklace for my mother at this gallery. The lady that helped me was so kind. You can tell there is good energy here and their jewelry is so pretty!

The art may not be one hundred percent of the time top notch. The Hellada gallery has a lot to offer. Especially on second Saturdays, from 4 p.m. till 10 pm. Ask around for other events they usually have. A terrific place for interacting with and meeting other like-minded artists.

I was welcomed into this place with genuine smiles from the owners. They are wonderful people providing an extremely valuable service to the community. We all need real art more than ever today and a place that happily promotes it. I enjoyed an artist reception on a Saturday night with live music. I learned so much at the free art class on Sunday afternoon and look forward to the open mic on Wednesday evening. I am overjoyed to have stumbled upon this place. This is one of the top places you must visit in Long Beach!

I'm leaving an update because I'm tired of reading people writing inaccurate information. I was there when one of these woman came into the shop complaining about the jewerly. What she didn't mention in her comment is how she handled the jewerly. The silver was tarnished and looked like she wore on the shower multiple times. It was in horrible condition. Ladies jewerly breaks when you don't care for it.

When you buy jewerly it is your responsibility to care for it after. For the business amazing art, welcoming to all. There are some odd ducks there but they are true artist and love to be unique.

I had a great time visiting the Hellada Gallery. My friend Camilla Marie Bray has a few pieces here on display entitled B_east of Burden. I enjoyed viewing the work of other artists on display as well. The gallery itself is located in Long Beach's Art District which is downtown. This particular art gallery is located on Linden next to very nice restaurants and across the street from a wine bar.

I like the feel of the gallery. It's small but there are two rooms filled with art from local artists. They had live music which was excellent. The only challenge I had was parking but that's everywhere in Long Beach. I eventually found a parking space after driving around 10 minutes. However, it was worth it. The art was fabulous. The music was fabulous and you know the wine I had was fabulous too. If you are looking for something fun and engaging to do for the weekend, visit Hellada Gallery!

Do not buy jewelry from this shop. I bought a ring and the stone popped out. They fixed it and then the other stone broke and I was told by the owner Maggie "well i don't know what you want me to do opal is a soft stone" I have had this ring for literally 1 month now and paid $90

I felt like this could have been a shop that I would recommend to my family and friends. Unfortunately, the ring I purchased was not made well and fell apart twice after wearing a handful of times. The first time I was understanding and I gave the store a second chance since I like to support small/local businesses. However, the second time it was clear that the ring was just poorly made.

I was so embarrassed that the birthday gift I gave was so subpar but to make it worse the owner blamed my friend for breaking it. I was shocked at her response and blatant disrespect. Obviously I will not be returning and do not recommend this store for their lack of quality and decency.

While I enjoyed many venues during the art walk, the highlight was definitely the atmosphere at Hellada Gallery. There was live music, ample food and drinks, the opening of Tom Scherschel's new painting show "Clouds" ( excellent), and a fascinating show of young people's art in the back gallery. A stimulating and diverse set of offerings. Hellada, a community treasure for over 20 years, is a true center for the local art community, and a testament to its tenacious founder, director Marek Dzida. A memorable night.

Hellada is the BEST! They create an atmosphere of creativity and acceptance. We play open mic every Wednesday and it's always a great time! AND Maggie sells gorgeous jewelry. This might be my favorite piece so far. Happy Birthday to me!

Even though it was Thursday, there was a five piece acoustical band playing percussion well "I Heard It Through The Grape Vine". Who knew in NYC! A mature lot, (they are the best kind) (wow, autocorrected to beast king), they debate naming themselves The Miscreants, maybe. So nice a space for open mics, which is apparently on Wednesdays. Displayed art is serene, not the frequently pretentious "ain't I great".

I usually would be sure to stop in on Second Saturdays Art Walk. I'm not certain what happened to that. Does one have to be in the know to know what is happening in Long Beach. Pick up pieces of paper flyers? I tend to do that, so. They will have a screening of "Plastic Paradise " 4/29/18 6p.m. $5 suggested donation

Love coming to this gallery. They have open Mic on Wednesday night. I love the fact that the owner creates a place for artist to gather and entertain the community. I stumbled on this place during my walk and try to stop by Open Mic Night when I can. Great group of fun people.

Excellent location and gallery. Lot's of eclectic things going on including screening of independent films, events, music and more. Acting classes are now being held there. The East Village is one of those neighborhoods where creativity flows and is growing to be a very special place. Support the arts, visit this place. You may find that it will inspire you in ways you never imagined. -The East Village Studio of Acting

Came to my friend's showcase and reception on a Sunday afternoon. It was an a-ok location and the gallery is quite small. I wasn't impressed by anything too much around the place. One great thing is that there's a very cute cafe in a walking distance.
