I cannot express how amazing my experience was shopping for my dress! I had Sharon as my sales person. She knew exactly what I wanted even when I didn't. It was my first time shopping for my wedding dress and she spoke with me for five minutes before the appointment started about what I thought I may be looking for. With just that five minute conversation she found my perfect wedding dress in one try! Sharon is amazing, kind and attentive. I would definitely recommend any bride go to Gown Gallery.

After exhausting every bridal shop in KC I came to the gown gallery. I had tried on so many dresses that it was exhausting. I was more confused about what I wanted then when I first started shopping. I completely lucked out with the help of Sharon Miller. Let me tell you she nailed it with the first dress she presented to me. I purchased my reception dress here too.

I truly valued all of Sharon's help and input, she is a pro!. We had the designer (Eve of Milady) do some custom modifications, which came out perfect. Apparently my wedding photographer purchased her dress here too because I noticed she also left a review. 5 starts is an understatement. Will post photos after my wedding day. Gown Gallery is the Kleinfeld's of the Midwest.

My experience at the Gown Gallery was fantastic. From the moment I entered the doors, they made me feel like my appointment was important. Sharon was my consultant and made the process so smooth. I didn't try on a dress I didn't like that day, but Sharon ended up picking out a wild card that I chose for my wedding day. I absolutely recommend.

I said I'm down with the gown! I'm so grateful for my bridal consultant Nicole and The Gown Gallery. I flew in town to go wedding dress shopping with my mom and my sister, and went to 4 shops around the city. I was disappointed that I was going to leave the trip empty handed. My sister called the gown gallery last minute and Nicole said she would stay late just for me!

I told her my vision and she pulled so many gorgeous dresses, each one better than the next. She knew exactly what she was doing and saved the best last. I would have never picked that dressed myself, but it's perfect. I feel like the most beautiful bride in my dress and I can't wait to marry my Cory in it. This shopping experience was such a pleasant adventure. Every single employee went above and beyond to try to help us find the perfect dress. We did not know if an appointment was necessary or not, and they didn't hesitate to accommodate us. The ladies were very friendly, attentive, and treated us with the utmost respect and excitement. They made our experience one of complete enjoyment and success. I am so thankful and grateful to Nicole, and all her wonderful coworkers, for their help and kindness.

I highly recommend the Gown Gallery. Robin is so friendly and wants to make sure you feel beautiful in your dress. She is excellent at her job and has amazing customer service. Their seamstress, Barbara, is nothing short of an alterations miracle worker. My dress turned out amazing and beautiful and was as flattering as could possibly be. She's so nice and amazingly talented.

I live out of state and did not have the opportunity to meet the wonderful people at Gown Gallery. We were in a bind and needed a larger dress for an expecting bridesmaid. After finding Gown Gallery online we were excited to see that they may have the size and color in the style we needed. Communicating via, text and phone we were able confirm availability, ensure dress was in excellent condition as it was a new sample, and arrange expedited shipping.

The dress arrived well packaged, just as described and on time. Gown Gallery saved us from a disaster when no other Bridal Retailer could or was willing to help. We highly recommend them.

Went to Gown Gallery to find a mother of the bride dress. I worked with Robyn, and she was amazing! She was patient with me, as I was really picky and unsure what I wanted. She picked out lots of great options and was extremely helpful! This is my second gown from here, and I've had a great experience both times! I wouldn't hesitate to recommend the Gown Gallery!

One of the best places to get a dress hands-down. They even help out the men who need a tailored suit! The staff is extremely friendly, helpful, and attentive. I always love the experience in this building because the vibe and the design has been set up so welcoming you feel at home. Definitely would recommend! P.s. while you are getting fitted, you have a wonderful view to look at!

After my sister found her dress at The Gown Gallery, I couldn't wait to try on dresses there myself. And what an amazing experience! My consultant went above and beyond during the pandemic to help me feel safe and comfortable and find the dress of my dreams. Alterations were quick and easy and my dress was in perfect condition when I picked it up before the wedding. I can't wait to find an excuse to wear it again!

Sharon at Gown Gallery saved the day. This store and everyone who works there, especially Sharon and Barb, are truly wonderful to work with. My original dress from another shop was ruined and in a last minute flurry to find another dress, Sharon knew just what to do. After a brief description of what I wanted, she appeared with the dress of my dreams, and it was able to be ordered and tailored on time. Sharon and Barb have a wisdom and grace that clearly comes from their extensive experience as well as what felt like a passion for what they do. Gown Gallery has both the most stylish and stunning dresses but also some of the kindest professionals that my mom and I met throughout the whole wedding process/ rigamarole.

I had never tried on wedding dresses, and had the perfect fit in 5 tries. Eboni made me feel so comfortable, listened to my thoughts, and also helped me put all my ideas into the perfect dress that turned into something better than I could have imagined!

I loved everything about the experience I had finding my wedding dress! Eboni & Elizabeth really listened to what I wanted & found what i wanted right away! I could not have asked for a better experience. Due to Covid, there was a limit on the number of people you could bring, but they were accommodating to us FaceTiming everyone that couldn't make it. Overall absolutely wonderful experience!

I have never experienced such horrible customer service. The only good thing I could possibly write about the Gown Gallery was that Robin was a fantastic salesperson. She really should go to a different shop to work. We ordered a dress in August of 2019 for a wedding on July 11, 2020. We were told it would be available in February, then after several voicemails and emails from both me and my daughter, it would be shipped the first week of April.

Still nothing. They never called to give an update and wouldn't return any calls or emails. The dress finally arrived on June 15th. This was after I finally made contact with the designer and she put me in touch with her contact person. I would never recommend the Gown Gallery to anyone and have told everyone I know that is in the market for a wedding dress to NOT go here!

I had an incredible experience at The Gown Gallery while looking for my wedding dress. Eboni was AMAZING. After looking at a few pictures of specific designers and listening to what I wanted, she pulled a handful of really great dresses. It was obvious that she has a lot of experience because she totally nailed it. I loved every dress she pulled and ended up finding my dress after 6 dresses. I went a few other places around KC, but The Gown Gallery was by far my favorite!

I loved my experience at The Gown Gallery and definitely recommend it to anyone looking for their dream dress! Robin was my consultant and she did a fantastic job understanding the dress I was looking for. She made myself and my group of 5 family members feel comfortable and at ease, and she was quick to offer options and ideas for how dresses could be altered or customized.

The orders consultant and seamstress were fantastic as well (I didn't get their names unfortunately!). Even though they work with so many brides every day, each one of them made me feel like I was special and they were genuinely excited for me. We didn't get coffee or mimosas like we were hoping, but the customer service made up for it. Highly recommend!

I was very disappointed with my, what I thought was a private appointment. I went with a couple of my bridesmaids for their dresses. There was a mom who had come in because her daughter just had a fitting, but she wanted to look at mother of the bride dresses. She was told to make an appointment, but she still got let in just to look through. The selection of the dresses weren't as good as I thought, even with being able to order in whatever color I wanted.

My consultant was in and out of the room during our private appointment, she didn't really help us too much. By the time she asked if we needed help, my girls were about done trying on their dresses. I understand that I didn't get my bridal gown there, but I felt rushed, and disrespected. If the consultants are trying to make a sale, they should be more attentive, and mine was not.

Although all my bridesmaids weren't there, the two that were with me, felt the same way and weren't happy with the selection of dresses. They didn't have much of plus sizes either. We were told to order online and they only order certain sizes, but we felt like there should be more plus sizes in the store. Unfortunately I will not be returning even though I was told to come back to schedule a 2 hour appointment, bring the rest of my girls and it'll be more fun.

We were also told if we did that, we could cater mimosas from affair and I asked if they paid for that and they said no, we had to pay for extra catering. I'm sorry I'm not trying to pay for more catering when I already have an expensive wedding to pay for. When I got my bridal gown, we got mimosas and champagne during and after I found my gown. I was told bridal gown appointments were really nice with this place, I just wish they cared about the bridesmaids appointments as much as they did the bridal ones.

I'm not one to post many reviews, but this was one that needed to be said. Robin was absolutely incredible and made dress shopping feel so easy. I was so anxious when I walked in because dress shopping is honestly nerve-wrenching. But Robin made 4 of the pickiest gals (my mom, grandma, sis and I) feel at ease and walk out without an ounce of stress on our shoulders anddd with smiles on all of our faces.

We walked out of there both happy & confident that we picked the right dress and wouldn't have to worry about anything between now and the wedding because Robin has us covered. She made sure we got the best dress for the best deal and has been making sure that we are taken care of every step of the way. I absolutely 100% recommend the Gown Gallery and 110% recommend Robin. You will not be disappointed.

I really enjoyed this place! Beautiful and unique dress styles, Moniece was my consultant and she really understood my style, she was very sweet and made this event fun, helping me find the right dress quickly. I highly recommend her! I'm really happy to have found my dream dress!

I had an appointment yesterday with Moniece and had a fantastic experience. As soon as I met her, I knew that we were on the same page and I could put my full trust in her. She chose beautiful dresses for me. I felt comfortable and beautiful in everything I put on, and the group that came with me had fun too. I was able to try on a large variety of dresses because Moniece was efficient, yet patient, and I appreciated that.

It seemed like she genuinely enjoyed being there. Additionally, the Gown Gallery offers food and drinks from the restaurant downstairs and I thought that was a great touch. The building is beautiful and has great natural light (which makes sequins and beading on the dresses shine even more). I have no doubt that you will love this place and the employees.

I worked with Robin Sweet and she was nothing short of AMAZING! First, the salon itself is in a prime location in the Crossroads. Second, we were greeted by Robin as soon as we entered and were offered hot tea and water for our consultation. Last and most important, she took the time to view my Pinterest, ask me questions, and the rack she pulled met every requirement I had given her - including my budget. She was honest with her opinion and is just very professional and kind. I highly recommend The Gown Gallery and Robin!

I can't begin to describe how The Gown Gallery is by far amazing! I had my first appointment with Robin and she heard everything that I was looking for and what my entourage was wanting to see! Robin took her time to make sure every detail was perfect in the dress! She helped me in so many ways and guided me through the endless sea of white. I left my first appointment with finding a dress, but wanted to think about it.

I go back to again work with Robin and it's like we became best friends. Robin is so kind, knows what she is talking about and really cares for what her brides are wanting. In the end she helped me find my dress. I found my gown at The Gown Gallery thanks to Robin!

I got my wedding dress from here and could not be happier with it. However, I would like to share some complaints. First, when I was trying on dresses, my saleslady Gwen brought a bunch of dresses for me to try on. Great, except for the fact she had me try on several dresses I clearly told her I did not like. I was patient at first, but eventually asked her why she was having me try on these dresses I so clearly would never choose, she simply said "Oh we just got them in and I wanted to see them on someone." Let me be clear about this. Gwen had me trying on dresses that I had already clearly informed her I was not interested in, seemingly in an attempt to make a commission. Next, I ordered my veil the same day as my dress.

At my first fitting, they had the color of my veil wrong. Apparently, the "designer" of the veil happened to be there that day and I was told that they would correct my veil to what it was supposed to be in the first place. I had my hair trial today, and my veil was supposed to be available for me to pick up according to the Gown Gallery. It was not, and I was given a "loaner" veil for my hair trial.

It has been MONTHS since I have ordered and paid for it, so it makes no sense why it is still not in. Everyone I have spoken with at The Gown Gallery has been very friendly. It just does not seem anyone knows what they are doing there, and though I love my dress I found there, I would not recommend this place.

The Gown Gallery is in a really beautiful building downtown, and the interior is modern and cool, with a fantastic view of downtown KC. They have an excellent selection of mid to high end gowns and personal consultants for each bride-to-be. I was recently the guest of a family member who is engaged, and obviously very excited to say "yes to the dress", but unfortunately The Gown Gallery fell flat.

Upon walking into the boutique, we were asked to sit down and we were offered water. We sat at a table for 13 minutes waiting.with no instructions, and nothing to do, when we were finally told our consultant was finishing up with someone else and would be with us shortly. We sat for 15 more minutes and eventually our consultant joined us. This would have been so much better if we'd had a book of dresses to look through or offered a refill on the water.anything would have been better than awkwardly sitting in the middle of a room with nothing to do.

When our consultant finally joined us, she was very "business-like", and didn't seem very happy for our sweet bride at all. I understand that people buy wedding dresses every day.but brides want to feel special, and her entourage wants to have fun with her while she tries on her potential gowns. At one point we told the bride we didn't like a dress she was wearing, and we were actually scolded a bit by the consultant.but that's why she brought us with her!

This was not a fun and exciting experience for any of us, and we did not end up purchasing a gown here. The bride told me later she didn't feel like the consultant listened to her likes and dislikes very well. The Gown Gallery has gorgeous dresses, but the experience overall was not pleasant, and our bride ended up finding a dress elsewhere that day.

I will gladly update my review after my recent experience with Gown Gallery. They redeemed themselves! I purchased a bridesmaid dress for an upcoming wedding in June and decided to give Gown Gallery a call for alterations. I was a little wary because of the experience with my wedding gown (see previous review). On my first appointment to have the dress pinned for alteration, the seamstress Pam was quick and precise.

It was a breeze to schedule a follow up appointment, and 15 minutes after walking in the door, I was done! Each time I've called, someone is there to answer the phones. This was one of the ways I felt Gown Gallery could improve, and they certainly have. Everyone I came in contact with this time around was helpful, genuine and friendly. The dress turned out lovely. Pam did a wonderful job and it fits like a glove.

There were no issues this time around and I could not have been more pleased with my experience. I will continue to recommend this place to all my girlfriends and would definitely use Gown Gallery again for any upcoming weddings.

Gwen was awesome. We had 2 martinis before our first appointment and bought a dress we immediately regretted. Gwen cancelled it, and we found the perfect dress the next week. Today, it came in and we live the dress and gwen even more! Going back next week for the bustle alteration.and mother of the bride trunk show! Thank you gwen!

They have gorgeous dresses but had a terrible alterations experience. Knew they would be on the pricey side, but was willing to pay more to make sure my bridesmaid dress was altered well. Unfortunately, I did not get what I paid for this time. Paid $130 to have the dress hemmed, bodice brought in, and the shoulder slightly adjusted. Along the way, the front pleating was mangled and I was told by the seamstress that "that was the look the designer was going for" and she wouldn't be able to change it without ruining the other pleats.

There is NO way the designer intended for the front of the dress to look like this. I ended up having to try and salvage the front of the dress myself. Would not go back for alterations ever again, be warned!

I had an appointment with the gallery to try on bridesmaid dresses for my step-sister who lives in Austin. I am not quite sure what I was expecting or if my expectations were set too high, but when I arrived I was deflated. The display of the bridesmaids dresses reminded me of a rummage sale. The lady helping me looked busy enough and seemed nice enough but was running around completing other tasks.

She pulled a few dresses for me and put me into a dressing room that was reminiscent of your average department store. I asked for something to drink, all she could offer was water, which I found on the table as I was leaving. My friend helped me in and out of the dresses and took pictures for my step-sister. I left after speed-trying-on the dresses after a half an hour. Again, perhaps my expectations were too high, but I certainly did not experience any level of superb, personal (or anywhere near it) customer service during my visit.

From this experience, you may as well go to a Davids Bridal, save yourself some money and are likely to receive better service, which is a sad statement for someone who is deliberate about supporting local businesses.
