Gates Four Golf & Country Club

We love having events at gates four! They are always such amazing supporters of the community and the chamber!

Great course! Just found out that it is now open to the public. The greens are in great conditions and the fairways are ok. It is still early in the season so, I hope they get better.

We went to their Summer Concert 1st Friday of every month. It was fun. Atmosphere was amazing. Staff was polite & friendly. Recently priced food and adult drinks.

The clubhouse was absolutely beautiful. The food was tasty, the servers quick and helpful. The restrooms are clean. It made our event absolutely wonderful!

Since my daughter started on the golf team at her school my experiences here have been nothing but amazing. The staff is helpful and so sweet. I enjoy just sitting around waiting for her to be done with her lesson. When it's nice out there are rocking chairs you can sit in and just enjoy the scenery. I would recommend anyone who likes golf to check this place out if you haven't already.

I have been fortunate enough to have played this Golf Course a few times over the last five years. They put new greens in a couple of years ago. While this has always been a great track with great facilities the new Greens have taken Gates Four Golf Club to an even higher level! I recommend Gates Four! You won't be disappointed.

Loved it, Now feels like I am Trapped in here. Great Golf course, wonderful Gate Guards, However everything will change come 11/1. Not as Happy as I was about Gates 4

I happen to live in the G4. I golf here on a spotty basis because I like to try different courses. Gates Fours course is very well taken care of for the good portion of the year. The course is also short enough I recommend walking it if you can. Now, as a resident I am not a member. This is because the amenities are not good enough to put down a coupe grand a year. My highest recommendation is to add a gym to the club. I would buy a membership the day it opened.

Had to post a follow-up to my 12/13/13 review. Used Gates Four again to cater our holiday office party last night and everything was terrific. Now we're up to 80 guests, so the bar had to be set a little higher. Also tweaked the menu to provide even more variety, more dishes. Food was great, delivery impeccable. Everyone loved it.

This was by far the worst venue for a large event I have ever been to. The "ballroom" was a tiny room with an even smaller dance floor. We sat at an unsteady FOLDING TABLE where every time you barely bumped it all the drinks would nearly spill. We paid an astronomical amount per person for this event. The worst part of the entire evening was the food.

By far the most disgusting meal I have ever had. The mashed potatoes were straight out of the box. Instant mashed potatoes at a country club? Really? The chicken was like drywall, so dry and grainy you had to drink glasses of water, plural mind you, to try and get it down. The steak was pure fat and covered in a tasteless brown gravy. The frozen vegetable medley was okay, but then again how can you really mess up frozen vegetables? I'm sure it wasn't for lack of trying with this kitchen though.

If you wanted to have a drink to at least TRY and make a night out of this event and you do not make six figures a year, prepare to take out a second mortgage on your home. That's right at the insanely high dollar amount spent to rent out this venue no drinks were included. In one word: AWFUL. Get your money's worth and go to ANY other venue in North Carolina.
