I paid 59 dollars plus taxes for this cake, I was very excited to eat and enjoy it with my daughter but the cake was dry and had pieces of dough that did not cook well, it was my first time there and it will surely be my last time, you can see that a child could write happy 19 birthday better

Stopped in for dessert after lunch. Pretty good selection and reasonable prices. The bars (blondies, brownies) are huge-at least twice as big as what you'll find at most cafes for the same price. I got the funfetti Oreo blondie, and it was delicious!

We used Edible Art for our wedding and we were thrilled with the result. We had a specific design in mind that involved custom molds, and they took it and knocked it out of the park. Also, it tasted great!

Edible Art continues to be our favorite bakery to order cakes and cupcakes. The cake ordering process was easy and quick. I was thrilled with my daughters Paw Patrol themed birthday cake. I often order a larger cake because family members will try to sneak a slice home! :. Thank you Edible Art team!

Our family has enjoyed Edible Art for many years. My absolute favorite is their Almond Amaretto cake. Last year, I was thrilled to receive it for my birthday. Unfortunately, the excitement ended very quickly when we sliced into a dry cake with overly sweet icing. There wasn't a hint of Amaretto to be found. Surely this must've been the creation of a new, inexperienced baker on staff.

Despite my disappointment and high cost of the cake, I did not complain to the store. Recently, we were looking for cupcakes for an upcoming event. I purchased three different flavors to get an idea of what we might want. The Almond Amaretto was good, but the icing was overly sweet again. Surprisingly, the White Chocolate Strawberry tasted like a vanilla cupcake with vanilla icing.

More surprising, the Raspberry Mojito tasted like a vanilla cupcake with vanilla icing. We won't be ordering from Edible Art. I believe their best years are behind them.

The design that I requested was executed perfectly and the taste was heavenly! The perfect amount of density and flavor! The purple icing had virtually no aftertaste. It was so nice and pretty! I received prompt and courteous customer service and they were able to accommodate with my pick up! Thank you so much for being a part of my nieces 21st birthday

We had a groom's cake made for our son's rehearsal dinner. It was one of the best cakes (almond flavor) that we have had. The decorations (a Vegas theme) were beautiful. We had so many compliments on it! We also bought a gluten free cupcake for one person, and it was also a big hit! Thank you for a great job!

Edible Art Bakery is the absolute best! I use them for special events like birthdays, anniversaries, and most recently, a retirement party. The cookies were not only delicious but they were beautiful! They were delivered in a special box so they arrived perfectly!

Came in for a coffee, was a little disappointed as they only had a couple of options. However this is a cake and dessert place first. We ended up ordering tiramisu. This was very delicious and at a good price. If I had custom cake needs I'd give them a shot. If looking for coffee, then go elsewhere.

So very disappointed. We have used Edible Art for years for cakes and special treats. I stopped in after work this week and spent over $50 on cupcakes, cake slices and macaroons. Was very excited to bring the treats home to my family. Every single item was stale or overcooked. The macaroons were so hard you couldn't even bite into them. The cupcakes were dry and had no taste. Even my all-time favorite almond pound cake was stale. Sadly this will be the last time for us at Edible Art.

Wonderfully moist and tender cake with the perfectly just enough sweetened buttercream frosting! I'm constantly looking for cake wherever I go and now I've found the place. Unfortunately, I don't live here and just visiting. My partner who normally doesn't like buttercream frosting really liked this frosting. This is what cake dreams are made of and I wished I lived here.

The cake was actually tasty, but the customer service awful. My daughter and I walked in and the young lady working had her back turned from the door. She quickly turned around starred at us and said NOTHING! Nothing at all, wow what great customer service. My daughter nudged me to speak, because she knew that I wouldn't have otherwise. My mother had wanted a cake from here for her 70th Birthday, we've had it don't plan to do it again.

You would think with these prices they charge and I knew the price before but you would think the customer service would be awesome. Must have a lot of business and don't need nor want returning customers. Cake --5 stars Customer Service- is there anything below 1

I ordered a cake here some years back, it was short notice for my daughter's birthday. Anyway they were very helpful considering this was my first decorative cake ( MAC cake). Now I will say this was my first experience with fondant and I am definitely not a fan and neither was my daughter, but the cake itself was beautifully made and it looked exactly like the picture. The cake itself was very rich, I actually came back for the cupcakes, which are very rich as well ( a lil too sweet) but they are beautiful and taste wonderful.

We loved the lemon and blueberry cake and the gluten free lemon and blueberry cupcakes that Edible Art created for a lemon themed Bridal Shower. The bride and guests raved about them. Edible Art was very patient and flexible with our order. I highly recommend them for your event's bakery needs. They are outstanding.

Read about the reasons to NOT use this bakery. 1. The staff does not have their customers best interest in mind. They all tell you different prices and different information. You may be told by one person that the price is lower and that they need a certain amount of notice and then another person that that notice is too short, they can't find your paperwork; AND then tell you they can do it after leaving you on hold forever and the price is over $100 more.

Not good for anyone that is meticulous in having events just right. 2. The art looks pretty, but the cake itself is not great. 3. The employees are not sincere. There are many other bakeries that can do the same thing for half the price and the cake itself is much better quality. $400 is astronomical especially for the poor service. Do yourself a favor and go somewhere else.

This establishment is known for i design cakes. For my mom's 80th birthday, I eagerly awaited the cake I selected. Upon ordering I was informed the numbers in my selection were not available and that was understood. Below is their website depiction of the cake ordered and the photo beneath it is what I received. There is a marked difference between the two cakes. I am beyond disappointed. My dissatisfaction has been expressed to this establishment and they have not acknowledged my email.

We requested a double tier and groomsman cake for our wedding day and Edible Art nailed it! We chose the chocolate and lemon cakes (I don't even like chocolate cake but this chocolate cake is sooo delicious!). For the groomsman cake i requested an Alabama "A" to surprise my husband on the wedding day. It was absolutely perfect and the best surprise! It was delivered on time and the team was so easy to work with throughout the entire process!

Just moved to Raleigh from NYC. I'm *obsessed*, to put it mildly, with cake & cupcakes. Amazingly happy our temporary home was near this place as a welcome to Raleigh. I'll rank their cake & cupcakes with the best of the best. And their flavors add to the mix. Their red velvet is so moist & I love that they do an American buttercream instead of cream cheese icing on the red velvet.

Beyond that, they have everything from regular chocolate & vanilla to "fluffernutter", "churros", Amaretto strawberry, etc. flavors. Once settled in the city, I don't think we'll be as close (around the corner :)) to this place. But I'll drive here they are so good.

Not worth the money. Cupcakes were dry. We came after eating and they were dry and the frosting was so rough. Food lion has better cupcakes.

Never ever have I bought 24 cupcakes and just placed in a box to carry. They usually place liners/dividers. Stopped by there Sat morning walked to CO where my gathering was going to be at noon. When I opened the box to place them on a platter to finish decorating I was mortified. They all bunched up stuck to each other and the side of the box. There was no way I could make them presentable.

I had no choice, but to run to HT and buy a cake for my event. Nevertheless I had to throw them away. My husband and son managed to grab a cupcake before I tossed them and added they where very dry and the frosting was extremely sweat. Such a disappointment

Mindy and the team at Edible Art Bakery provided us a wonderful cake to celebrate our wedding day with. Due to food allergies, our cake had to be dairy-free and gluten-free. Edible Art Bakery completely delivered! The cake tasted amazing even with these restrictions, and looked beautiful during the photos and cake cutting. We ordered a two-tier cinnamon swirl cake with vanilla faux-buttercream; we are looking forward to eating the part we saved for our one-year anniversary! The team delivered the cake during the day-of and made coordination seamless leading up to the event. Strongly recommend!

My new husband and I recently worked with Mindy and the Edible Art team to create our dream wedding cake. From the beginning, their team was so helpful in bringing our unique design to life. We chose Edible Art in part due to their convenient location to our reception venue and also due to their longstanding reputation in the area for wedding cakes.

We chose a chocolate and vanilla marble cake with buttercream filling and fondant icing (due to the structure and design). While originally nervous about the fondant for a wedding cake, we were happily surprised at the freshness and flavor. All of our guests raved over how much they loved our cake! While we were given the option to save the top tier of our cake for our first anniversary, the bakery provides a fresh one for free to their wedding couples.

We also love that we can stop into their storefront when we are in town to have a piece and reminisce on our big day whenever we'd like! We couldn't be happier with the service we received and cannot wait to order our next cake from Edible Art!

NONedible art? Three strikes- you're OUT! Wow, well can't blame this on COVID! Have purchased cakes from here for over 20 years, from their downtown Hillsborough St location, to near Meredith College, to their current North Hills bakery. Not sure what's happened over the past 3 years but it's not good. From sporadic dry cakes, to messed up decorations to incorrect cake deliveries. Anyway, we keep hoping for improvement but it hasn't happened.

Just yesterday I picked up an 8 inch round for a hefty price only to discover it was only 7 inches and decorated TOTALLY incorrectly. OK, so decorations can be off, but to try to pass an 8 inch cake off as a 7 inch cake? It was so obvious it was small, my teenage son noticed it. Shameful, quality control is nonexistent there now- not sure what's happened.

It used to be decadent and worth the price- a special gift, not so much anymore. Don't waste your money, time or calories- all you'll end up with is frustration. Sadly, it's not the experience it used to be.

Insensitive; An "all lives matter" approach just to protect your cheap, and apparently dry, cupcakes will not cut it in this age. All lives matter when black lives matter. Think on it as you bake.

Here to let the world know that your cakes are super dry and overpriced. I also want folks to know that the owner is the "all lives matter" type. Take your business elsewhere! They do not provide good desserts and you shouldn't give your money to low-key racists, period. They tried to delete this post from their Facebook but we are faster.

I have loved your cakes for decades. Every birthday, holiday and even our wedding cake came from your store. I've followed you from location to location to location and have bought from all of them. Even Your original store on Hillsborough (the location by the Capital). I have to say your post today about All Lives Matter struck me with a great deal of pain.

As a store that is owned by an LBGTQ owner with a black son, I was stunned and shocked by your words. My husband and I love your products, but after your post (that was removed), we will no longer support your store. We can't. We will tell our friends who will tell their friends. I'm sorry we had to break up this way.

Maybe I had the "one-off" experience but.worst custom ordered cake. Ordering was easy (all online) but that was really the only positive. Picked up our $70 cake to see the top / icing was all cracked. They showed me & had no issue with me accepting the cake like that. I asked for them to fix which they quickly did. Moving along, staying positive until.we cut the cake. LOL! None of the 12 party guests took more than 2 bites. It was atrocious. Maybe I'd suggest asking for a taste run before ordering anything from here.

Went again today & the almond amaretto cake slice was perfect! Wasn't overdone or dry as it was last time. Really moist & delicious. I was so pleased! However, I ordered a vanilla cake slice with chocolate frosting & was really disappointed. It is way over cooked & the cake is very crumbly & dry. If you try to get a forkful it ends up breaking up & falling off the fork.

I ended up throwing it out because it's not good at all. I took a picture of how dark the bottom is. I also am not sure why the vanilla cake was 2 layers but the almond amaretto was 4 layers. I would expect consistency as far as layering on the cakes. All in all, I wouldn't spend $6 on another cake slice here. Not worth it.

The Cupcakes are very expensive in the world of cupcakes, but they were AWESOME! The only thing I can say is I wish I would have bought more! My customers loved them and so did I!

Loved the selection of cakes and the seasonal cheesecake brownies. I had the white cake with chocolate frosting- probably a little too sweet. Loved the filling, but probably a little less sweet buttercream frosting. I thought it odd the red velvet cake doesn't have cream cheese frosting. That's not really something in the recipe the baker should feel free to adjust- it's a necessary ingredient

I want to actually give another half a star for the helpfulness of the staff.but not worth 3 stars. I called to see if this place made Petit Fours and was delighted when the woman who answered said they did. I ordered these 3 weeks before Christmas so I could be assured of having the treat in time. I felt confident that this being a bakery, they would know what a petit four is.fyi, they don't have a clue.

For those that aren't sure what I am talking about, a petit four is a French pastry that is a SMALL square poundcake pastry, maybe 1-2" square, usually vanilla with a light glaze and some festive piping. What I received were mini heavy cakes, each about 3" tall, with a heavy thick shortening based glaze.in other words, 12 of the most dense and disgusting pastries I have ever tasted.

I will be honest.as this is a holiday I am not exactly able to call the bakery to cimplain as these were to be a christmas treat. The cost of these was very prohibitive making it HIGHLY unlikely I would be willing to give them another chance. If you are in to thick dense cake-ish pastries.thisnis a bakery for you. If however you are familiar with french pastries. BUYER BEWARE! This place doesn't have a clue what they are!

I was reminded of how delicious their cakes are a few weeks ago at a birthday lunch. I stopped by the other day after picking up my race packet for Race 13.1 I purchase the vanilla amaretto slice. First off the slice is humongous. Second it's sinfully good. I've been eating on the generous slice of cake for days. I'm already planning to stop by on Tuesday when I'm there for a sneak Preview particularly since slices are 1/2 off.

Tuesday's at Edible Art. Really the only day to ever go cause it's HALF OFF all slices and cupcakes! This cake is to die for! The absolutely best pound cake and buttercream frosting you will ever put in your mouth.
