Cassandra Storm has been a photographer since she was 14 years old and established her photography business in 2004. Her 16 years in business have lead her around the globe photographing everything from a triple organ transplant from her stringer days at the York Dispatch to documenting an Indigenous Quechua Wedding in Cochabamba, Bolivia. From her early days of photographing sports at the University of Pittsburgh to her volunteer days with Now I Lay Me Down to Sleep to over 200 weddings before she turned 30, her career has spanned a lifetime of opportunities, experiences and adventure.

It's why I buy local, support small business (especially women and minority owned businesses). I am a small business owner and love working with my fellow entrepreneurs as we chase our dreams together. Rooting for the underdog is why I am so passionate about rescuing senior dogs. I love the idea of second chances and am not often political beyond being a righteous feminist but I will repeat loud and proud, "Please adopt, don't shop, " when it comes to adding a pet to your family.I also teach trauma sensitive yoga to incarcerated teens (most of whom are in foster care) at the A.N.G.E.L. Center for the Children's Home of York.
Why should a new customer buy your products or services when there is always someone who will offer what you do cheaper online? How do you convince someone you have never met that they should be invested in your business and be loyal to your brand? How do you translate the friendliness of your customer service and personalize your company?
I have owned my photography business for fifteen years and I understand the struggle of being a small business owner, managing my day to day operations along with the demand for the constant marketing of fresh content on social media. It is no longer "enough" for an entrepreneur to create a great product, provide excellent customer care, give back to their community all while being an empathetic and inspiring leader to their employees.
