Rude staff. No greeting, spoke to me as he was writing without looking up. Asked him for a quick arrangement in a vase, and he couldn't do flowers in a vase. Noticeably annoyed when I didn't know what some terminology he used for flowers wrapped in paper meant. Go to the nice people at Freyers instead.

Flowers were ordered and an expedited fee paid for delivery before noon the next day. Not only did they miss before noon, they delivered more than a day late. Not the first time. My suggestion- go elsewhere if getting delivered on the right day matters.

In a world where most could care less about customer service, my faith has been restored. I had ordered flowers for a dear friends birthday only to learn they did not receive them. after being assured they would be delivered. I called the next day and spoke with the florist's answering service and requested a refund.vowing to never use their service again.

A few days later I received a call from the owner, who received a call from the neighbors next store who were out of town that the delivery was left at the wrong address (new driver error). A belated birthday basket of plants was delivered today with a note of apology. I can only say, Thank You! And I will highly recommend your business to all.

What horrible service. I would give them 0 stars if I could. I ordered a deluxe arrangement online with a balloon and a box of chocolates. Paid extra to have delivery before noon. Arrangement was nothing like the picture on line ((was supposed to have roses and colorful flowers - what was received was white daisies and some greenery). No chocolates were received and delivery was made at 1:30pm, not before noon as requested and paid for.

I called Country Florist a few days and spoke to someone who was going to pass along the msg and give me a call back. 2 days went by, I never got a call back. Called again, this time some answering service picked up (was during the day). Apparently they are too 'busy' to answer the phone at the store and have their calls routed to a service.

Left another msg asking for call back and still have not gotten a call regarding the situation. I decided to go with a local florist as I believe in supporting local business, but turns out they really didn't care to do a good job and retain local business. I'll be calling again tomorrow as well as contacting my cc company to dispute the charges. I tried working with them, but clearly they are not interested. Their loss!

Avoid at all costs. Placed an order online, and no one can confirm delivery. Called 3x with no answer. Useless.

We just hosted a brunch reception for our son and daughter-in-Law to be at the Bedford Post Inn. We had Gretchen and Michael do the floral arrangements and delivery. Their suggestions and style were spot on for the venue. They made sure the center pieces wouldn't be too obtrusive as to block each others view but still add a special elegance of color to the room.

Well done! They coordinated their delivery with Anna at the BPI and the room looked fantastic! It's now Wednesday and the center pieces still look marvelous. Thank you for making our event that much more special!

My daughter ordered flowers for me for Mother's Day and was not told until Mother's Day afternoon that they could not delivery the flowers after all, and that they would be delivered on Monday, the day after Mother's Day. When, by 1pm, she had not heard from me, she texted me asking if the flowers came-told her that they hadn't, and it really sort of ruined the whole prospect of a Happy Mother's Day wish.

She tried to call them but nobody answered the phone, and their voicemail box was full. The flowers did eventually arrive, and 50% of the flowers were wilted, with brown edges on some of them. I would be hard pressed to trust them to provide 1 arrangement, much less hire them to do a wedding. The above review was from several years ago but I realized when I went to post another review that I'd never posted it.

Today I would have given them another bad review, because they delivered, after Mother's Day, something that bore no resemblance to what my children ordered for me-they ordered flowers, and a plant was delivered instead-and I'd like to know which customers have the privilege of having the correct item delivered in a timely way

Awesome flowers always! They have everything and it's fresh and lovely. The cut flower arrangements are beautiful and they last much longer than flowers I used to get at other places. They are always the absolute best. Everyone is very helpful- I explain what I need the flowers for and they select them with me, giving me information, and helping me make it balanced and beautiful! Gretchen and Mike take pride in their shop and it shows!

I received a call because the woman delivering the flowers to my apartment could not find my unit number. She was rude and very upset and inconvenienced. My apartment is clearly marked.

This florist just delivered to me something that didn't, in any way, resemble what my kids ordered for Mother's Day-they wanted cut flowers in a vase, and The Country Florist brought over a plant. And apparently they do not deliver Mother's Day flowers until the day after Mother's Day, because there is no option to have them delivered prior. This is the second time they were delivered late, but since it was a plant, at least it didn't look like it sat out in someone's car overnight, unlike the last arrangement I received from them.

Having had right knee replacement my sister used FTD to send flowers upon my return home to cheer me up. The order was out of her control FTD chose Country Florist. Knowing that I'm not fond of pink she picked the perfect bright and sunny arrangement which was beautifully arranged in a vase with a cheery ribbon. Arrived ready to display lovingly in our bedroom.

The number of flowers was as numerous as the varieties of shape and textures. It was NOT chock full of fillers. Sending her a photo she said it was exactly if not better than what she chose. Here it is a week later and I freshened up the arrangement that remain quite fresh and I'm still enjoying them. Very pleased that FTD chose Country Florist to fill my dear sister's long distance order. We are new to the area but I will be sure to use Country Florist of Yorktown!

I placed an order for a wake and selected the Teleflora "Shining On" arrangement, in the deluxe size. This was an $82 arrangement and with taxes, etc, ran us over $100. It's important to know how much we spent because the photo I received from my sister of what actually was sent to the funeral home was an arrangement filled with cheap flowers and a giant messy bow that in no way approximated what was ordered. Also, I had written a specific note to be on the enclosed card and it was not included; just a generic "our thoughts and prayers are with you" pre-printed card with our names scrawled underneath. Massively disappointing.

I wish I could give this florist a zero. I ordered flowers for my wedding in 2014. I just needed some bouquets. All went well. My daughter is getting married in June 2018 so we went to the country florist to make an appointment. We walked in on Saturday the day before Mother's Day to MAKE an appointment. Michael chastised us for walking in on one of his busiest days.

He gave us an appointment for Friday June 23rd at 6:30. We arrived at 6:25 only to find the store closed. We called the phone number and it went to a national FTS customer service rep who kept saying the store is closed. We crossed the road to the Yorktown Diner where his wife waitresses and she said "HE IS STUCK ON THE TRAINS". What trains? Why no calls? She then rudely turned and walked away. Don't even bother this this business!

This florist is lucky Yelp does not allow a zero star review. One star is way too much. I ordered a gorgeous bouquet fro Teleflora for my mother, to be delivered the day after Mother's Day. She sent me pictures of what was delivered and I was appalled. I ordered the Dressed to Impress Bouquet (Deluxe). The website describes that sized bouquet as being 21.25 inches tall by 18 inches wide.

And while I fully accepted the substitution policy when I ordered, I NEVER expected the bouquet to be so small and sad looking. There were blooms and and fillers completely missing from the bouquet, AND to make matters worse, the flowers that they did include were not fresh and were browning at the edges. I am so upset, I have requested a full refund from Teleflora (which they granted) and have consented to have the flowers picked back up from my mother's house.

Everyone do yourself a favor and steer clear of this place. They obviously take no pride in their work, nor do they seem to care about customers. I'm adding pictures as well, so that everyone can see the shoddy work that went into filling my order.

Mourning the death of a family member is hard enough. When wanting to place an order for flower arrangements to be sent to a funeral home, you kind of want to be able to call a place and get assistance. I had a disgusting lady answer my phone call who instantly had an attitude. Absolutely did not answer my question on pricing, but instead sucked her teeth and was very rude.

I had to repeat myself twice and even asked for the website so that I can look up the information myself without having to bother her. She then gave me more attitude. After containing myself long enough, I nicely told her get customer service was horrendous and thanks a lot for her "help". As I hung up I could hear her screaming back at me like a maniac saying some nonsense.

As a business owner I was flabbergasted by the fact that anyone would let this woman answer the phone at their establishment. And if that was the business owner I spoke to, then they should be ashamed of themselves! It is so horrible that you would treat customers like this. Especially when a family member just died, and we're coming to your business- for a flower arrangement, which it's intended for. Instead one is treated rudely and disrespectfully even before the conversation had started. If I could give less than 1 star I would!

Horrible, rude woman at the shop. I was so happy to receive flowers and I had to call because they left the signature off; she was so rude about the whole thing and totally unhelpful. So many good florists around, would never use them!

I tried to call and place an order for flowers and the person was rude because I could not hear her. She actually hung up. When I called again there was no answer and the mail box was full. Don't bother. The other reviews were appropriate. A waste of time

My husband died and I got a basket delivered from The Country Florist of Yorktown. I was not called to let me know, and it was left outside so the animal had a feast, I was left with a lot of mess. I called, no apology, will bring another one. when they deliver it again they wanted to give me the little fruit bowl plastic they sell at the grocery store with a green pineapple in it and refuse it I called I was told that the owner would call me never a call I call them again nothing finally I called the people that send it to me because I know they spend over $ 100.00 dollars they couldn't do anything about it.

You would think that when your going to terrible time would to be nicer to you not them I will never get anything from them and I will tell all my costumes not to go there. They got the money I never received anything

On this past mothers day, I was stopping by the country florist looking for some help about finding some flowers. Id figure give some business to the little guy instead of buying from A & P. I wish i had gone to the A&P and I will from now on and I live in yorktown. I walk in and say hello to the employees and wish them a happy mothers day. I approach what I assume is the owner and tell him Im looking to spend between $10-$20 on an arrangement.

Just some simple flowers to give an acquaintance. The owner had the nerve to tell me my budget was not alot of money. How rude! I look to spend some money locally and I receive this attitude and this is not my first vist. I have received this multiple times before. Do I walk in and say it looks like someone died in that horrible decor of a flower shop? No I don't. It actually amazing to see they are still open! Keep up the crappy job!

Sent a bouquet to a sick friend today. I bought the The FTD Sunny Sentiments Bouquet listed at $29.99 on their website. I decided to also include a $5 balloon. There were taxes and delivery fees totaling $15. I paid over $50 to have flowers and a balloon delivered. My friend received the beautiful flowers, but not the balloon. So I called The Country Florist of Yorktown and the woman on the phone who answered agreed "oh yes, looks like they forgot the balloon, " and then spiraled into, "but you paid $29.99 for the flowers and we actually sent a much much nicer arrangement." She continued "I mean arrangements don't leave here for less than $40." She made it seem like because they allegedly sent a nicer bouquet that I should just forget about the $5 I spent on the balloon or I should feel bad about the price that I paid directly from their website?

I asked to be reimbursed or have the balloon sent over. The woman replied, "My driver is done for the day, so maybe we could send it tomorrow. I'll have to leave a note with my manager" and then promptly hung up -- Ok? If you're not comfortable with the prices you're charging, maybe change them? Worst customer service ever. Beautiful arrangement, but I will not be ordering flowers from this florist again.

On October 20th, I received a call on my home phone saying that no one was home but that flowers were delivered and left at my home. The sender did not realize that I was away on vacation. Fortunately, I had checked my home messages from my vacation so I called the florist to let them know the situation. They were so gracious and accommodating. They indicated that they would pick up the flowers that they had delivered and would deliver a new, fresh bouquet upon my return from vacation.

True to their word, they delivered a gorgeous fall bouquet. I alerted the sender and he was very happy to hear that all of this had worked out since he did not realize I was away. He said, "that's a really great florist!" I would have to agree.

I ordered flowers through Teleflora and 'The Country Florist' is who they used. I received and e-mail stating my flowers were delivered, yet the recipient never got them. They just received a sticker on the door to arrange another time for delivery. Without waiting for the call to arrange a better time the florist shop put the flowers back on the truck the next day to be delivered.

The recipient called and said they would not be home that day and the following would be better. I called 'The Country Florist' to confirm as I kept getting different stories from Teleflora, and right at the beginning of our conversation she seemed extremely annoyed and was very nasty. I was concerned about the flowers being 3 days old carted around in the truck and wanted to find out what happened.

She was extremely rude and said the recipient screwed up. Really? She then asked if I wanted to cancel the order, and I said no I needed flowers sent. It got to the point where she said she was rejecting the order and I would have to call Telaflora. This was the WORST experience I have ever dealt with a florist shop, and I would never recommend them or order from them. I called up with a question and got a very bad attitude, and this is inexcusable and very poor customer service. They deserve no stars.

My Fiance called two weeks prior for an appointment, and was given today's date to come in by a man on the phone at Country Florist. The date was for today, Friday, 6/11/10 at 5pm. However, the man must have wrote down 6pm since my Fiance was traveling from Poughkeepsie, because when my Fiance called to confirm this afternoon (at 12 Noon), a woman answered at Country Florist, and she explained my Fiance was penned in at 6pm.

The lady kept going back and forth on how she would close the store if my Fiance came at 5pm, then 6pm, and went on and on about maybe moving the appointment till Saturday, which my Fiance didn't want to do. The woman at Country Florist was giving my Fiance an attitude this entire time. Highly Unprofessional. I guess this woman wanted to get home early on a Friday night.

She was arguing with my Fiance if she should close the store at 5 or 6pm, when my Fiance politely said no reason to close the store for me, etc. Finally, my Fiance told the women at Country Florist she would be there at 6pm. So the woman at Country Florist BEFORE HANGING UP THE PHONE goes "UGGHHH! OH MY GOD!" My Fiance called me back hysterical crying, and I told her to call back and cancel the appointment and let the woman know WHY she was canceling.

The woman at Country Florist denied she gave my Fiance an attitude on the phone, and my Fiance told her she heard what she said before hanging up the phone. So she canceled and hung up on the woman at Country Florist. I don't know who the man was who booked my Fiance 2 weeks ago, but I doubt he'll find out about this situation unless he reads this review. Horrible Service, Horrible Workers.

I know it's Friday and all, but was it REALLY worth losing a customer over the horrible service this woman provided!? I guess the people that work at Country Florist care more about leaving early on Friday's than they do about their business. If you want a Florist, go some place else, these people could obviously care less about their appointments and customers. The Country Florist of Yorktown = Epic Failure.
