Classic Bakery

I'm so sad to have to give such a low review but I'm disappointed in our experience at Classic Bakery. I have ordered many custom cakes through the years from Classic at their previous location before they got a little fancier and high tech. I never had issues in the past. However this last order makes me want to try another bakery out next time.

When we walked in the bakery is nice, however the staff has no knowledge in anything when you ask them a question. It's always "I don't know, I'm not sure, we will have to ask". Finally I finalized the cake order. When my friend went to pick up the cake, she quickly noticed my sons name was spelled incorrectly and got it fixed. The order sheet had the name spelled correctly so I'm not sure what happened.

Also the cake was completely done differently then what we discussed and what was written on the order form. Lastly, the inside frosting was different then what my order form said as well. Clearly they have gotten a little too big and their service has gone down. I didn't even bother calling, not worth it as they cake was eaten but when I pay for a custom order I expect it to be done as the form was filled out. Ps their pricing is crazy high for what it used to be. Their cakes tasted soooo much better back in the day!

This place never lets me down when it comes to cakes. I refuse to use any other bakery for cakes because they are always so helpful and nice in the store (and the sweets are tasty). I've had the pleasure to use Classic bakery for my sons birthdays (cakes and pastries)! I've also had the honor to get pastries suggestions from Areen last year for my sons first birthday.

The cakes are delicious and every guest who has tasted the cake at my house have loved it. Thank you Classic bakery for bringing your passion and family legacy to my home table every year. We can't wait to pick up the second cake of the week tomorrow!

I've gone to this bakery several times in the last 6 months and not once have I been disappointed. From their cakes, to their cookies and baklava, everything is delicious. Next visit I'll definitely be trying their gelato on one if their flavored waffle cones! I recently ordered a birthday cake for my brother through their website to see how that would work out.

It was perfect! The cake was ready on time, not a long wait when I went to pick it up AND it was delicious! My chocoholic brother (who recently moved back to the area and didn't know about Classic Bakery) was amazed by their cake

I love the signature fruit cake here and keep coming back for it for all my celebrations! I've only heard good feedback after my guests try it - it's not too sweet and is incredible.

This place is pretty popular. We ordered a small black forest cake worth $27. The pastries are also good specially the Custard Napoleon. A lil bit pricey but really good.

I've been going to Classic Bakery for over 20 years! The name says it all. It is classic in every way: services, product, taste, design, cleanness and more. Every time I order special designed cake it has always being the center of the party and the talk of the party. I have never ever been disappointed. Thank you Rubic and staff for your dedication and delivering superior product! I'll follow you to the moon and back!

This is our go-to place for all birthday and special occasions. Not only do they have amazing cakes, their customer service is great. Their cakes are always beautifully made and delicious. They also have a great selection of baklava, Persian desserts, and Armenian bread. Not only are they great for cakes that serve multiple people, they also have a great selection of small pastries for when you need a variety for a dessert bar.

I'm not quite sure how I feel about Classic Bakery. I liked that I could place an online order in advance. The things I did not quite enjoy: the Greek Easter Tsoureki (bread) I ordered was cold and felt pre-made (as in made days before). The Portokalopita was ok in taste, but pricey for what it was. My pickup order was for 12:00pm and I purposely showed up at 12:24pm to give them time for my order; I thought by then my order surely would have been ready and I could grab and go.

The employee couldn't find my order and then took about 10 min for my order to be filled. Lastly, it would have been nice to get a bag considering I pre-ordered $100 worth of goods. Verdict is still out on this one

The strawberry cake & the assortments of pastries was all so good! The cake was light & not overly sweet. The assorted cookies & baklava was all so good! I highly recommend this bakery and will definitely be back.

We had ordered our son's 2nd birthday cakes and cupcakes with a Mickey Mouse Roadsters theme. They went above and beyond on these! They were delicious, moist, on time, professional and packaged for easy transportation. We had also gotten some of their cake slices and Greek pastries which were absolutely divine! I love their easy and convenient location too! Found a real gem of a bakery and can't wait to keep ordering more from them!

We had the mango and strawberry shortcake fillings and they were incredible. The quality of the cake was gorgeous and we were able to bring in our own flowers. The end result was spectacular! We have found our go to bakery for life.

This Bakery deserves to be hailed the reigning purveyor of baked goods! Their Classic Strawberry Shortcake is unrivaled in taste and presentation. Some profess it is the best cake they've ever had in their entire life. Family-owned and operated; I have yet to enter without receiving a warm welcome. For Valentine's Day this year I stopped in and purchased five Cake samplers (Strawberry Shortcake, Coconut, Vanilla Bean, Raspberry Passion, and Tiramisu) for less than $12!

For this exquisite level of craftsmanship, a "steal" is an understatement. Do yourself a favor and pop in one day to have an espresso and check out the nouveau flavors of Baklava available. The Bakery is set back a bit from the designated address, so it's very easy to drive past. But once you find it, you will never seek out another local Bakery again!

The cake was beautiful! Definitely redeemed themselves from my previous cake order that was not such a good experience. Despite that I decided to give them another try (because I come here a lot and the cakes are usually good) and I am happy I did. The cake was exceptional this time.way better than expected. Classic Bakery supplied the beautiful wedding cake for my daughters wedding this past weekend. It was absolutely gorgeous and everyone at the wedding commented how delicious the cake was. Thank you Classic Bakery for helping to make my daughters special day perfect!

My family and I have been getting cakes from here for over a decade. Recently, I got the Oreo cake for my son's 5th birthday and it was delicious. I sent a photo of what I wanted and they made it exactly the same, I only added the extra decorations on the top. The cake was light, moist and airy without the extra heavy creams. Everyone loved it. Classic bakery always provides in a pinch. Needed a last minute cake on a Sunday. As all other bakeries were closed. Classic was open and had quite a few delicious cakes available. We've had their tres leches- amazing! One of the best! Mango and now raspberry non custom cakes- amazing! The sponge cake is fluffy and taste great. The icing is not to sweet. The mango/raspberry filling is on point. Sweet enough and light in texture. Easy 5 stars and a our go to bakery for cakes!

11/22/2021 arrived 4:55 PM (5 minutes before they close) and the staff was very friendly vs trying to rush us out. I would recommend this bakery as the cannoli's, tiramisu, cream puffs we're very good. I lived in an Italian neighborhood of Boston where we had about 3-5 (Italian family owned) bakeries. It's been a long time since I have had pastries as close to those places in tradition, taste and flavor. (cost/freshness, courtesy, look and cleanliness of the bakery, - it was a pleasurable experience good bakery goods clean friendly easy parking so = a 4-5 star review

I will definitely use this bakery again! The cake was exactly what I ordered and the service was great. I loved being able to send an image and have it put on the cake. The price was reasonable.

The miniature cake slices are a great way to sample a wide variety of the options Classic Bakery has to offer. We're working our way through them slowly, but so far our favorites are the black forest, raspberry, and carrot. The bakery also had a wide variety of other pastries available at the counter, so we'll be back soon.

Absolutely wonderful! We came in to pick up a cake for my uncles 85th birthday and Classic Bakery smashed it out of the park. For a day of surprise cake, they decorated it beautifully and helped us choose a cake that everyone would be able to enjoy. Excellent service, delicious cake, and friendly staff! Very impressive job.

The cake was airy, fluffy and delicious! We got the mocha and it was a huge hit! Ordering online was easy, I went to pick it up the next day and the place was packed! (I did go to pick up on Saturday, on Fathers Day weekend so that's expected) All the employees were delightful and all the customers looked super satisfied. I bought this cake for my friend who grew up with a mom who's a professional baker and she said this was one of the best cakes she's ever had! I'll definitely be getting all my cakes here from now on.

The little cakes were delicious. The cream puffs were delicious. The cookies were delicious. The staff were super nice. The baked goods were sold by weight, seemed like they just combined it all so I think there's just a bulk weight price. That made it easy. Liked the whipped-cream based/lighter icings they use. The tiramisu cake & the cream puff in particular was very good.

Definitely would return! People definitely not following the line and trying to cut in where the bakery cases are so watch out for that- not sure how they could really police that further since there are already signs on the cases and arrows on the floor. I guess folks are just eager to get to the baked goods.

I stopped by around 11am on a Sunday to pick up some cake slices to bring for a birthday lunch. The place had no patrons, only one leaving as I was parking. The store is very clean and had a more airy feel than their old location off Frederick Ave. The setup was nice and worked well with directing a specific flow. The gentleman that helped me was great.

He was patient while I struggled to pick out flavors. I ended up with tiramisu, chocolate with mint frosting, Black Forest, strawberry and red velvet. A box of 10 slices cost me $21. He packaged them well, taking care not to disfigure the delicate slices. The cakes were so good. Moist, not overly sweet, and did not have a ton of frosting (which I prefer).

While Tiramisu is my typical go to, I really enjoyed the Black Forest cake. The middle layer frosting had a hint of cherry. Their strawberry cake was also nice. It was the lightest of the cakes I got. I highly recommend this bakery. I look forward to picking up other treats next time I'm in the area.

I've had cake from these guys on multiple occasions and it's never disappointed me. The ingredients they use always make a difference and it tastes amazing. Not too hard, and not too crumbly, the consistency is solid. I recently got a pastry box to try different flavors and my favorite was the carrot cake. It was moist, perfectly sweet, light cream, and delicious. It can be a lil pricey but it's def worth it. Also have gotten cookies from here and they are solid. Can't wait for my bday so I can order a big cake from here.

I have been ordering cake for all occasions from Classic Bakery and they are always great! However, I would not recommend the Valentines Day special, which costs me ~100 bucks for a cake and this badly wrapped rose. This rose really ruins my Valentine's Day!

This bakery is always my go to when my family member is having a birthday. The cake is not only gorgeous but taste so goodddd! My favorite by far is the nutella cake, moist and so yummy!

This is my go to bakery. I usually order online and select when I want to pick it up. It's always ready by the time I come in and always perfect. I've tried multiple flavors throughout the years and it's always good. It's usually not packed in there when I go to pick up. And they have cute cards and candles available for purchase. The staff there are always friendly and nice.

I wish I could give 3.5 stars. I've tried 3 cakes from here, and I can say that you'll enjoy their cakes if you enjoy mostly filling and less cake. It works well for the Oreo cake, but not so we'll when you want a chocolate cake with peanut butter cream filling and it's 30% cake, 70% cream filling. What got to me this time was we wanted a Star Wars quote on our father's day cake for someone's very first father's day, and they botched it.

I checked my order form to see if maybe I missed a mistake on there, but nope it was entered correctly on the order form. The quote is, "I AM your father, " not "I'm your father." I understand that space was limited, but it's a quote. We all had a good laugh about it but I can't help but let it get under my skin just a little for a $47 cake.

5 star service and baked goods all around! So I was in desperate need of some tasty macarons for mother's day, and did not want to drive all the way to DC/VA to my go-to shops. So a very good friend of mine strongly recommended classic bakery. Convinced that I needed these macarons in my life, she made a special phone call.and within 2 hours, I had the most delicious macarons I have ever tasted: almond macaron with a white truffle raspberry filling.

The texture was absolute perfection, and taste was luscious and rich without being overly sweet, AND I could taste the almond and raspberry notes very well. OMG.classic bakery, where have you been all my life?! I also decided to purchase their signature fruit cake, which was also delectable and not overly sweet.simply perfect. As far as I know, they do not offer macarons daily, but seem to have it during special holidays, or you can always make a special order/request in advance. Yelp peeps. I highly recommend!
