She captures people, their work, and their most important life events (including weddings), and accepts commercial bookings on a case-by-case basis, with an emphasis on food photography and culinary events. Based in Alabama, Julie can often be found working across the Southern U.S., but is also available for travel worldwide. She has been commissioned to shoot in destinations such as Jamaica, Hawaii, New York, California, and The Bahamas, and would be happy to chat about photographing your next project, whether the location is near or far!

Julie Lowry (that's me) is the owner, chief photographer, and resident ninja of Chanterelle Photography. My scruffy dog Watson runs the quality control department. I was born and raised in California, but have lived in Alabama for years, so I like sushi AND grits (not together, but if you know of a way to do that and make it taste good, I'd try it).
