A Bridal Designer Gown Rental

They don't even deserve one star. Business is a joke! They have multiple platforms with different addresses and phone numbers, NONE OF THEM WORK and after a 5 hour mission around the LA area figured out they aren't at any of their locations. Don't want anyone else to waste their time like I did. Such a disappointment!

I dropped off my wedding gown here to consign and I got paperwork back and then I tried to call back a month later to see how it was selling it and I still have not heard back from the owner I have now called over seven times and seems that they are going to steal my dress and not get back to me! Not sure what else to do - I would like to hear back to either get my dress back or get the appropriate payment. I am appalled that I can t hear back - I've texted, called and left multiple messages!

I don't know what's going on with this place but it is practically impossible to get anyone to answer the phone and return phone calls. For almost 2 months straight! At one point someone has text me after getting my voicemail but when I responded to the text and called multiple times, I never received a reply. Had to go on a whim and buy my cousin a dress for her surprise wedding. Thankfully she loved it and it fit perfectly.

This is a small business and they, especially Mecca, have provided excellent customer service and communication - and I've been fortunate enough to be working with Mecca since last year. She has been nothing but accommodating and sweet, and has made my visits for me, my family, and friends extremely enjoyable every time. There has not been one hiccup, and I've always communicated via text messaging which has been completely reliable.

Thank you Mecca and team for your continued support, and I can't wait to finally wear the perfect dress for my big day next year! I've read people's reviews and a lot of them have to do with communication. I am not sure what kind of world people think they are living in, but you can't expect to just blindly assume that everything like an address on Yelp is going to be accurate.

I can't tell you how many times I showed up at a business that I found through Yelp to find they were closed. It doesn't make their business bad. Communicate ahead of time, be proactive about planning and your own time, don't make assumptions, and the majority of these complaints from others wont even be relevant. There are a ton of dress options here in addition to Galia Lahav. Sure, they aren't all Galia Lahav! You want all Galia Lahav? Go to the flagship in Tel Aviv!

I drove all the way from San Diego to LA for my appointment at 2pm on June 22nd only to discover that One Night Affair recently moved again for the second time. Even the front desk person at the building this company used to be (the address shown on One Night Affair website and google) doesn't know where they moved. He said the owner didn't give him the forwarding address and never picks up his phone either.

When I got to the old location, I called the company contact a couple times and texted asking about the new address only to have the person turn off her phone soon after. If you don't want to do business with people, pull down your website and stop advertising your services. You just wasted 5 hours of my time and don't even have a decency to cancel the appointment you never meant to hold in the first place! How can you sleep at night after tricking people like this? We talked on the phone and texted several times about the dress I was interested! You said I could come!

I'm sad to say, that I'm 100% positive these dresses are not Galia Lahav. It seemed too good to be true, and it is. I tried on one "Galia" dress and it was made of spandex and cheap lace. I've tried on Galia dresses and this was not authentic. Perhaps "Galia inspired" should be more accurate. Everyone needs to make a living and I respect Mecca for her store. But it needs to be upfront that these dresses are not authentic designers.

Horrible! Wish I could give a zero star review for this place. We made a appointment weeks in advance and even confirmed our date and time before arriving. We were at the address given and no one showed up. We called and emailed and texted. It's now 6 hours after our appointment and still no one has called us back. Luckily we found a place half a mile away that accommodated us and we found the dress of my sisters dreams! Thank God since we drove from San Diego to come here. Don't waste your time on this place!

I don't want to give any stars as no one ever made it to my appointment. I made the appointment 3 weeks in advance to my upcoming wedding in November and no one bothered to call me to cancel or reschedule. I still have no call back. This is my first negative review.

RUDE & UNPROFESSIONAL! The address is wrong on YELP so I called the number and explain to the lady that I couldn't find where their are located and if she could help with finding their location and she said "That's why we are appointment only". So I asked when her next appointment for today was, it was 3pm. She Started telling me the days they're open she said we're open until 5pm will you make it by 5pm.

I asked for the new address and she told me they are now in Downtown LA. Ummm you may want to first off start by apologizing for not having the correct information. Secondly when you tell people you're by appointment only you should tell people what times you have available not your times you are open and that you are now located in Downtown LA especially if the old location was in Culver City or just don't put any address and ask people to call to make an appointment. I will not be showing up just by that phone call alone learn some customer service first.

This place is amazing. Mecca is soooooo good at picking the right dress/ gown for you and has a huge selection of beautiful gowns. I have never walked out of here disappointed. I prefer not to buy gowns, especially since I'm only going to wear them ones or twice. Not only that, when I do end up buying gowns, I have to spend ton of money to alter them.

Why would I do that when I can rent gowns from Mecca, have them alter it to fit me perfectly all in one visit? No brainer. She also has a nice selection of jewelry and shoes that you can rent. All in all a great service. Super satisfied and happy I have found this place.

AMAZING experience for my wedding dress and all of my wedding party including our dog who won the show with the gorgeous wedding gown they selected for her. Being a Yellow Labrador it was extremely difficult to fit but their seamstress worked so hard! I don't know if any of you have a difficult mother to dress, but they work with anyone who's difficult with the upmost class!

Not at all an upscale place. The staff was great and very helpful. Not a great variety of gowns. The managers were a bit snide and standoff-ish but the rest of the staff was delightful

Absolute worst expierence. My fiance had found a dress that she loved here. The problem with this establishment is a major failure to communicate with us. After repeatedly leaving messages and calling mulitple times a day she was finally able to make a fitting appointment 2 month before our wedding. After the appointment was made things were better with the communication.

The day of the fitting on they did not show up. Would not answer their phone or respond in any way. Now we are stuck trying to find a dress two months before the wedding. I would never recommend for anyone to go here.

This place is absolutely AMAZING! I have been all over LA the last 2 months looking for a prom dress with my daughter. We have been everywhere from bridal stores to department stores and in all this time my daughter only tried on 2 dresses. My last resort was to rent a dress, so I called One Night Affair and they were able to see us the next day. When we walked in we were amazed!

They have a great selection of dresses in a variety of colors and styles. We showed her a photo of the dress my daughter wanted and within 3 minutes she pulled out 2 gorgeous dresses that my daughter loved! I was happy and relieved! Because of One Night Affair my daughter doesnt have to wear a dress that she isnt completely happy with! Thank you so much for everything! The service was remarkable and I will definately be back for all my future events.

A few days before a company party, I was freaking out trying to figure out if I splurge wayyyy too much on a dress I was going to wear once and then keep in my closet for the next few months while I tell myself I'll sell it somewhere or rent from online. The only issue is my wallet was against the first option and time was against the second.

In comes One Night Affair. On recommendation from a coworker who rented her bridal gown from here, I went in. After frolicking through sequins for like an hour (lol shoutout to the owner for not calling the cops in the weird girl geeking out over the pretty gowns), I found a great vintage number. They took in a few places, changed the placement of the bow and skirt overlay, gave me double the pads where the good Lord didn't and had it done in time for me to pick up in time for the party. Affordable and instagrammable. Got my vote.

Update - I decided to update my review after another client wanted know the status of my refund. To date, the owner has not called me or agreed to return my money. I have filed a lawsuit. These guys are amazing, patient, creative, on time and honest. We had our wedding at Greystone mansion and I rented the Galia Lahav Syuzanna wedding gown. I got a lot of compliments from this dress. Everyone thought it was soooooo beautiful! I highly recommend this place to everyone. Mecca is the best!

This was my 2nd time coming here for a dress. I highly recommend this place to everyone attending a glam event or in need of a luxury dress! I came here in search for a gown to use for my engagement shoot. Mecca was very helpful and knew exactly which dresses to recommend for me to try on, based on photos that I had shared with her. I'm very petite and it is so hard for me to find a dress that fits.

She made the entire experience fun and exciting, so grateful for her! The parking is conveniently right in front, just be sure to have coins for the meter since it doesn't take credit cards :. We came in about 1.5 months before our engagement shoot and paid for the rental of this gorgeous Galia Lahav gown, then came back 2wk before the shoot to get it tailored.

I picked up the perfectly tailored dress right before the engagement shoot and am returning it today! I recommend to follow the same timeline that we did, do not procrastinate and come in EARLY to reserve the dress you want beforehand! This way, you won't need to pay extra for expedited tailoring. I received so many compliments on my dress and I will recommend this place to everyone!

I did not end up renting a dress here but not because of the lack of selection and amazing customer service! I tried on so many beautiful gowns that I would not have been able to afford to wear otherwise. Mecca was such a sweetheart and made us feel right at home in her store. Not to mention her gorgeous standard poodle will sit quietly near by supervising your visit.

Her dog is just a doll and so well mannered, I cannot believe some of these other reviews complaining about her. I did find a dress to buy within my small budget, but ONA was definitely a top runner since it included alterations, dry cleaning, and even accessories with some dresses! If you're running on a small budget of under $1500 like me, you should definitely stop by here!

What is the first thing any soon-to-be bride does after getting engaged? Of course to try on dresses! I wanted to check out renting a wedding dress; my friend rented her wedding dress from here several years ago so I made an appointment. I came here with my sister, mom and two close girlfriends. Liana was the one who greeted us, she was also the one who helped my girlfriend also.

One of the first things she asked me was when my wedding date was. Being that we were only engaged for a month, we didn't have a date yet. She then told me that usually they don't let people try on dresses who don't have their wedding dates yet. I was immediately heart broken. Why couldn't they tell me this over the phone when I made the appointment?! Luckily for us her next appointment was another hour away so she did let me try on several dresses. First, the fitting room is a joke, I should have just changed out in the open because there was no room.

We ended up not even using the curtains and everyone got to see me in my undies and bra most of the time. Liana brought out some good and not so good dresses. At first I told her I liked a-line dresses but the first one I tried on was not right for my body type. There was one dress everyone seemed to like and it was actually picked out by my sister and friend.

I liked it a lot, but I didn't LOVE it. I couldn't take the plunge on making a deposit on a dress yet. Liana was very kind and understood. She gave me her business card and the info for the dress if I changed my mind. Earlier Liana did tell me the reason why it's required to have a wedding date. I saw that dresses had dates on them and it requires several months ahead to do the alterations.

That is why they need the wedding date to see if a dress could fit in the timeline. It makes sense, just wished they told me that over the phone. After trying on the dresses at least I got a better feel for what dresses I liked and what fit for my body type. We finally booked a venue last week and now have our wedding date. I'm a little hesitant to come back here and deal with the whole process of trying on dresses again. I may look at other bridal rental places first before coming back.

Wow! This event was insane! Full service dinner that include fabulous food, great service, and a fun atmosphere. Great job Ruggy!

Amazingly satisfied! Not only my dress was dreamy, but the service I received was outstanding. From the day 1, each stylist made me feel special, understood and beautiful. even AFTER I returned the dress! Unfortunately, on my wedding day I had a bad experience with my photographer. I was devastated, but Mecca went the extra mile and helped me retake my pictures!

She really is an Angel! I will never have enough words to express my gratitude and satisfaction for treating me with such care. One night affair lets us all be that one girl who grabs everyone's attention here.before, during and after your special day!

TERRIBLE CUSTOMER SERVICE! We went in to look for a wedding dress for my daughter. It was like pulling teeth to get anyone to help us even though we had an "appointment". Then the few times someone helped us, they kept bringing dresses out of our budget. In fact, they never brought out 1 in our budget. The place was also DIRTY! However, my very young daughter was bound and determined to find a dress there and the people had her convinced this was the way to go.

She finally found a dress she liked (NOT BY ANY HELP OF THE STAFF). It was all tattered and dirty but they convinced my daughter they would custom fit it and fix everything. I RELUCTANTLY put a $410 deposit down. I went home and read all the bad reviews including one that brought to my attention if the dress is too big, they simply FOLD THE MATERIAL BACK INTO THE DRESS ADDING INCHES TO THE BODICE.

Out of concern for my daughter who is a size 0, I called them the next day and asked if that was true. They admitted the dress she was renting was a size 8 and that they won't cut the fabric. This was unacceptable to me and I had a bad feeling about renting from them. I cancelled within 24 hours and put it in writing that same day both by e-mail and certified mail.

To this day, they have REFUSED TO REFUND MY MONEY! They said the deposit is non-refundable and didn't care I had cancelled within 24 hours. THEY WOULD RATHER STICK TO THE "CONTRACT" THAN HAVE GOOD CUSTOMER SERVICE. When I told the manager Jeff I was very surprised they would risk someone writing bad reviews over $410, his reply was."I DON'T CARE". STAY AWAY FROM THIS ESTABLISHMENT! IT'S A RIP OFF!
